Chapter 27

**Cole**



We get to the kitchen, and everyone is there: Marcus, Shelly, Gale, Adam, James, and Sasha.

“Oh, hey you two love birds.” Gale says winking.

“So, you guys are the first to know Winter is now Luna.” I say looking over to Winter.

“Oh, we know. We heard you two sealing that mating bond. We heard you all last night and all morning.” Marcus says laughing.

I look at Winter and she has a big blush all over her face from that comment. Well, I don’t know if I should be embarrassed that everyone heard us fucking last night. I can see Winter is embarrassed. Her face is bright red. I know we were being kind of loud, but I had no idea everyone heard us.

“Well Shelly, I don’t think I have introduced you to Winter yet” I say trying to change the subject.

“Oh, hey it's nice to finally meet you.”

Winter returns her greeting, and they start up a conversation about how to plan the Luna ceremony.

I walk over to Marcus and Adam. “What up guys?”

“How was your evening?” Adam asks, cracking a smiling.

“It was better than yours.” I shoot back.

Marcus busts out laughing “well you and Gale are the last hold outs on the mate front Adam.”

We crack jokes and having a good time while eating. Then my mother walks in. The room starts to feel stuffy, and the lightheartedness dies down.

“So, what are you all so happy about?” she asks.

“We have a new Luna, and I have a new sister” James replies. Everyone starts to smile; they have all wanted me to find happiness for a while now. Their smiles make me feel like I have great friends who want me to be happy.

“Oh Cole, you didn’t.” My mother says.

“Mother I told you she would be Luna. She is my Mate.” I growl.

“Cole you can still salvage this. You can cut ties. I'm not sure how, but I'm sure if we asked Byron he would know.”

“Enough Mother. Just enough.”

She storms out. “Mom can be a psycho you know that.” Gale says. “Don't take it personally Winter. We all want you here. Your part of the family now, and I'm sure she will eventually come around.”

How can my mother be so obtuse? I get Winter used to be a rogue. I sense that she must have more of a reason than that though. I wonder what her real issue is. Whatever her disapproval is about I don’t care. I am happy with Winter, and I have no intention of putting her aside. I am sure I will eventually find out what her issue is, and I will deal with it then.



**Winter**



Goddess, Jade is a psycho. Why can't she just let us be. How dare she come in here and ask Cole to find a way to break our bond. I am going to try to keep a level head, but if she continues down this path, I will lose my shit.

After Jade storms out Cole says. “I must apologize for my mother’s behavior Winter. She will get over it. Now, I do have some work to tend to. So, why don’t you, Gale, Shelly, and Sasha start planning your Luna ceremony. The only restriction is it has to be after the mating gathering as that is already set-in motion.”

I nod and he gives me a kiss goodbye, but it is intense. He grabs my waist and pulls me into him. It is starting to get hot. then someone coughs. We both back up and I can feel my face is bright red. I can't believe we got enraptured to the point that we forgot there were other people there. Everyone is smiling at us, trying not to laugh.

Cole finally speaks. “Come on Marcus, James, Adam we have some things to discuss.” With that they leave the room. No doubt they are going talk about Gerard and his band of merry rogues.

When we reach my office, I tell them everything I have learned about Gerard and the others rogues with him. I am hoping they can give me some ideas on the best way to go about this. My idea is to go out and rip off Gerard's head for wanting to do such vial things to the women I love. However, I do not think it is wise to rush into this situation without doing some recon.

Once I have run down the situation for them, we all agree as much as we would love to go on a killing spree, it is not the best idea. However, they do like my idea of reaching out to Gerard's former pack. I pull out my phone, to text Winter, to see if she knows the name of Gerards former pack. She replies after a few moments.

“Winter says she thinks he was in the Blue Moon Pack.” I say to the guys. I look up the Blue Moon Pack’s information and give them a call, while the guys go to the council room to discuss our war strategy.

I get ahold of the Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, Alfa Ryan. After confirming that Gerard was a member of his pack, I go on to tell him a bit about our encounter with him. I also inform him that we have one of his allies in our custody, and plan to get more information from him. He tells me of even more crimes Gerard and his brother have committed. Apparently, a lot of their crimes only came to light after they had escaped. They are interested in joining with us to get retribution.

I invite the blue moon pack to attend the mating gathering that is coming up. In addition to attending the party, they will stay a while longer to form a plan against Gerard. Once I have finished my conversation with the Alpha of Blue Moon, I head to the council room. When I arrive, I fill in the guys about my discussion with Alpha Ryan. They agreed it is a good call to bring them to the gathering and to work with them. I tell them that I think we need some more information before the gathering. It is time to visit our guest in the medic center.
