Chapter 56

**Winter**

I woke up with a rush of nausea I ran to the toilet as my stomach churned and I throw up the contents of my stomach. Thankfully I had made it in time to the toilet. I sat up when another wave hit me, and I retched over the toilet again. As the contents kept coming up, I felt Cole start to pet my back.

“Hun are you okay?” obviously not. But the question is why. Was it nerves I mean I had to fight with the Alpha today? It must be. I had never been nervous to fight but it had to be nervous. After the nausea passed. I flushed the toilet.

I stood and told Cole. “Just nerves let's get ready and head out to the arena.” He looked at me with concern in his beautiful green eyes. “I do not know if that’s the best idea seeing as you were just sick. Maybe we should postpone and let you rest.”

The idea of going back to sleep sounded heavenly, but I had to do this. I needed to show the she wolfs that they were capable if nothing else. “No, I'm fine.” I went and brushed my teeth and threw on my sports bra and leggings.

He got ready and we both headed down to the kitchen. He suggested we eat something before we went to the arena. The thought of food made my stomach twist. I decided an apple would be light not hurt my stomach more than it already was.

After we ate, we went to the arena. When we go there, I noticed not only the females were there but a lot of the males too. I figured they wanted to see the Luna and the Alpha sparing. The idea of the leaders of the pack having a friendly rumble must have intrigued them.

Once everyone who was coming arrived Alpha Cole spoke up. “Okay I know the Luna wanted you to see the potential of being a female wolf. What you are actually capable of. So, the Luna and I will be doing some sparing. In human form and wolf form.”

“With that being said I just want to clarify we will not be fighting to hurt one another just to demonstrate what females are cable of.” I am glad Cole spoke up. I didn’t want to think I would be trying to beat down the Alpha I just wanted to show the she wolfs what they could do.


**Cole**

After my little speech Winter and I started to circle each other. I did not want to hurt her. I even thought about going easy on her. I mean she is my mate, and she was sick earlier. But I knew once we started, I would have a hard time raining in my skill.

It was not normal for an Alpha to slow down when fighting even if it was just a spar. Not to mention I have people watching and my wolf had a ton of ego and he didn’t want to seam weak. I mean I had spared with Winter in the past and I knew she could hold her own.

But I never spared as a wolf with her. It seemed like every time she was a wolf Athena only wanted to play or rub up on Dante. So, this would be interesting to say the least. I looked at my tiny mate as she was circling me.

I moved first to hit her, but she dogged my fist. Moving to the side she made impact with my ribs. I went to swipe her legs and made impact she fell but recovered fast. As we circled each other she jumped and ended up round house kicking me in the face.

This move was something I had never seen her do before. My face was already healing perks of being a werewolf, especially since I was an Alpha my healing was faster than most. I couldn’t heal like Winter could of course her abilities in that depart outweighed mine.

I crouched and pounced resulting on her falling to the ground with me on top of her. I paused for a moment which gave her an opening. She brought her leg up and kneed me right in the balls. How did she do that while I was on top of her.

I thought as I rolled to my side this definitely was something extremely painful. Why would she attack me there I am her mate and that was a low blow even for her? She mind linked me saying “Sorry I didn’t do it hard enough to damage you.”

At least she knew that was not okay. My wolf was stirring his pride had been wounded when she pulled this stunt. I had to fight to hold back the shift. Dante wanted out. I started to get up, but I grabbed her leg resulting on her falling to the ground once more. But no sooner had she gone down had she recovered.

She started to punch, and I blocked. I in return started to punch at my mate. She kept blocking just as I did. It seemed like we were evenly matched which was surprising. Every kick and punch thrown was blocked. I mind linked her. “We seem to be about even with spar so let's end this I think we have shown them enough in this form.”

I stopped punching but then all the sudden she was running full force at me. I just told her we should stop. Why was she running at me I planned to stop her, but she crouched and then pounced? She looked so much like an animal even though she was in her human form.

She made contact and her little body threw my gigantic stature to the ground. I thought she was going to pin me but instead she stilled. She loosened her grip on me and leaned down kissing me. My tiny mate just kissed me while she was on top of me in front of the whole pack.

She got up and I followed suit. She looked at me with all the love she held inside her. She then looked away addressing the pack. “Now that I have shown you that you can fight in your human for Alpha, and I will demonstrate how females can fight as our wolfs.” This should be interesting I have never actually had Dante spar with Athena.
