Chapter 43

**Winter**



Cole just told Athena to shift, and she did. I am standing naked in front of Cole. How did he command her? He is our Alpha. Maybe that’s why. It must be that. He is Alpha, and his words will make Athena yield when he gives commands. I don’t like it.

“Cole why did you command Athena to let go of Tyron? Also, how can you command me around? Is it because your Alpha? "

He just looks at me. “Get dressed and meet me for breakfast. We have some things to discuss.”

Even though I have a million things going through my head I listen to Cole. I head upstairs to get ready for the day.

I am waiting in the kitchen for Winter. I can't believe she thinks it is okay to just allow her wolf to hang on to Adams's wolf like that in front of everyone. I mean I get that she wanted to let Athena play, but at some point, you can't just give into whatever your wolf wants.

We have a lot to discuss. Besides going over her duties as Luna, we need to talk about Charlotte too. She has woken up from her comma, and we need to figure out what we are going to do. It is a lot to discuss. I didn’t think I would have to add reigning in her wolf to the list.

It is not enough we have Gerrard to deal with. Now I need to figure out Charlotte’s punishment, and we still don’t know what Alpha Ryan wants or knows. Winter also wants to help the she wolfs in the pack so we need a strategy to work that out too.

It is a lot and I still have regular pack business to work on, as well as the business’ I run. I really need to delegate. I do have the council and they will help with deciding the proper punishment for Charlotte. So at least I have that.

My thoughts are interrupted when Winter walks in. She looks so beautiful. It is not like she is wearing anything particularly alluring. She is in jeans and a loose white long sleeve. Jeans always hug her curves perfectly though, and I can see the outline of her breast through her shirts as well.

I cannot force her to cover up I know that, but her body is so dam tempting, and I hate that other men will be gawking at her. Her flowing blond hair bounces over her shoulders and across her back as she strides up to me.

“Breakfast? You mentioned breakfast.” she chirps.

“Umm... Yeah. Julina will bring it over in a bit.”

We sit down at the table and sure enough Julian brings us some waffles, bacon, eggs, and juice. We dig in and I start on the list of things we need to talk about. “So, winter we have a lot to discuss I think we should start with your antics this morning.”

“My antics? What are you talking about? Athena wanted to play so I let her play. Who am I to tell her no? Also, how where you able to make me shift on command? Is it because you are my Alpha, or my mate, or something else? Is that why when you told us to come, she followed you?”

“Winter, Athena listens to me for many reasons. Mainly though because Dante is her mate, and I am your mate. She respects me so I do not really need to impose commands on her as her Alpha. She just likes to please me.”

I had no idea she didn’t know that her wolf respects me. After all she did bow to me. I figured that she knew how Athena felt toward me. Well now she knows, I guess.

Getting back to her antics. How can she not know that it is inappropriate for the Luna to let her wolf control her? That is a sign of becoming feral. Well, it normally is at least. I know Winter doesn’t reign in her wolf at all. So, I know she is not truly becoming feral, but it sure looks that way to others. I agree we shouldn’t restrict our wolfs.

I have learned that from her, but we cannot allow them to run amuck either. Allowing Athena to just take a beating so she could tug on the first warrior’s tail for as long as she wants is just unruly. How will other people see her?

It's not like she just did a quick pull. No, she took a beating. When I called her back, she was covered in bites and scratches. Tyron lost his cool. I guess that is understandable with someone gnawing on you like she did, but seriously.

“Winter when I said your antics, I was referring to your behavior this morning. You allowed Athena to play. Which I get, but you let her take it too far.”

She sighs before responding “Who am I to tell her no. She is my wolf. You know when I shift, I let her have control.”

“I know that, but you have to reign her in.”

“Why Cole? Tell me why because I see no reason to do that.”

I can hear in her voice she is getting mad. I should explain because if I don’t, she will just continue with this behavior.

“You cannot do that. First it makes you look like your feral letting your wolf do whatever she wants despite it pissing off others. Secondly how does it look for the Luna of the pack to get all ripped up like Athena was?”

“I didn’t rip her up. That was Adams's wolf doing that not me and Athena. Also, I get those other warriors wanted me to stop, but I don’t control Athena. It isn't my place. She is my wolf. I am her partner. We are equals. So, screw them if they don’t think there wolfs are there equals.”

“You can't just say screw them Winter. They make up the pack. You shouldn’t give them reasons to be disgruntled with you. Talk to Athena please. Tell her she needs to be above her need for fun sometimes. I can force you to command Athena, but I'm not going to. Just ask her not to get into that situation again.”

Finally, she nods. I can tell she is mad, but she needs to act better and so does Athena.

“There is more to discuss. Charlotte is out of her comma. She is being injected with Wolfsbane to keep her sedated until we decide on a punishment for what she was trying to do in our bed. We are going to meet with the council to decide her fate. Before we attend that meeting though, I want to hear your thoughts on the matter.”
