**Cole**



I am really glad that Winter liked her gift. It is something she has been needing for sure. She is going to be a big part of pack business, so she needs a place to work. I am extremely grateful that I could get that photo from Byron. I am sure that is her favorite thing in her new office.

We walk into the council meeting to find that everyone is already there.

“Ok,” I say. “let’s start this. Does everyone want to share what they think the punishment for Charlotte should be.” Everyone nods. “Alright, let's start with James.”

“I think the death penalty.” He says.

Marcus speaks next. “I believe that the death penalty is too extreme in this case. I think we should consider sentencing her to live as a rogue.”

Adam agrees with Marcus.

Then Byron says, “Either death or living as a rogue.”

Finally, I ask Winter. “Well, I think we should whip her in front of the Pack. Everyone who feels violated by what she did should give her a crack?”

I was sure that she would be for making Charlotte a rogue. However, what she has just proposed though has me stunned. I am not the only one. I notice the look of shock around the room.

Byron was the first to talk. “That is how the Moon Stone Pack punished pack members who were disrespectful to other pack members. Is that not right Luna?”

“That is correct Byron. Most people in the Moon Stone Pack did not disrespect higher ranked pack members so it did not happen often. However, there were whippings for pack members who were disrespectful to other wolfs of no rank as well. There were not many lashes in those cases though because not that many people felt disrespected by their actions. In cases where a leader of the Pack had been disrespected however everyone took it personally. Hense, there was a lot of whipping.”

James chipped in “Winter we are not doing that. It sounds barbaric not to mention I don’t want that kind of violence around here.”

Marcus chimed in as well as Adam agreeing with James.

Then Byron spoke. “I agree with Winter. A pack this size though would no doubt kill her if everyone were to give her a lash. Then again maybe nobody will step forward since we don’t normally punish people like that.”

“We could maybe make that part of punishments in the future but not now. You know have a pack meeting saying this is going to be an option for the future.”

We could present it to the pack as an alternate form of punishment, but I am not sure if they will go for it.

“We can discuss it at another time.” I say “Let's continue to discuss Charlotte's punishment. I think we should make her a rogue.”

“So, it is clear that the popular consensus for Charlotte's punishment should be to make her a rogue. Are we all okay with that?” they all agree.

I can tell that Winter is not happy with this, but she agrees. I know she hates the idea of making someone a rogue. This is just something leaders have to do though. It is not always pleasant to be the one who calls the shots, but it is our duty. Sometimes having the power is awesome but not when you must dowl out discipline.

“Adam will you please bring Charlotte in so we can deliver her sentence.”

Adam gets up to go retrieve Charlotte. While we wait a mind link to my mate. I'm so glad I don’t have to wait until after the meeting to have a private conversation.

“Winter why didn’t you bring up your idea in private?”

“Well I only thought about it when you showed me the office. Seeing my old packhouse got me thinking of punishments we used to use. On the way over to this meeting I thought of it. So, I voiced it. Why what was wrong with my suggestion?”

“Well, it is barbaric for starters. Not to mention you can’t just spring new punishments out there it does not really work. Ya know.”

Winter rolls her eyes. Sometimes I think she is from different world. I know she and I sometimes have vastly different views. But the whipping she suggested was just WOW! I cannot imagine a pack like that.

We cut off the link as Adam walks back in with Charlotte. She is set in a chair facing the council table. “Charlotte, you have been brought before this council for disrespecting the Alpha and the Luna. Also, you were trying to interfere with two mates which is highly inappropriate.” says Marcus.

“Are you all fucking kidding me. People cheat on their mates all the time so come off it. All I did was get in their bed. How is that disrespectful. It wasn’t my idea you know. I was just listening to...”

I cut her off. “Charlotte none of what you say can be trusted. And we do not want to hear your excuses. Being in that state in our bed is disrespectful in the highest form. Especially to your Luna. Well Winter will not be your Luna for long.”

“What do you mean not for long? What kind of punishment are you going to inflict on me? Is it not enough that Bitch of yours put me in a coma? She is a fucking psycho.”

Is she being serious with this bullshit? How could I have ever slept with her? This is crazy. She is crazy. I must have been insane myself to have ever touched her. I should not have even gotten within ten feet of that women. She really thinks talking like that to us is going to help her case. Here she is calling Winter a bitch when she is here to be punished for showing disrespect. Does she really think this attitude is going to get her out of this?

“Charlotte your punishment is banishment. You will become a rogue and will no longer be allowed to be in the territory. Is there anything you have to say before we pass this ruling?”

“Yea, in fact I do Cole. I am glad to be rid of all of you. I hope you know this shit you're doing right now is going to bite you in the ass. You all will get what is coming for you. So, fucking do it. Fucking kick me out of the pack. Make me a rogue. Apparently, rogues can make a pretty good life for themselves. I mean look at that Bitch Luna you have. She used to be a rogue.”

I don’t want to hear this crap anymore. “Charlotte I Alpha Cole of The Red Dawn Pack hereby strip you of all ties with The Red Dawn Pack. You are to leave immediately with no hesitation and are never to set a foot on this territory again.”
