Chapter 53

**Winter**

It has been a few days and I am on my way back to Red Dawn. I am having had a good time getting away. Athena hunted I fished. I did not care to bathe while I have been out in the woods. I know I will be cutting it close to the meeting with the females in the pack.

As I enter the territory, I figure I'll just head straight to the arena I do not have time to go clean up. Hope my disheveled appearance doesn’t scare them off. I make my way over there to see the arena has a ton of she wolfs there. Some with their younger kids with them.

Looking at the kids sparks a new idea. We should start training them as well as the females, but I will have to run that pass, Cole. Oh man Cole. What am I going to do with my mate? He hates me. I really need to work it out with him.

However, that will have to wait until this meeting is done. Right now, I need to focus. I need to find out what is holding the women back from shifting. How I can help them. How I can I make their existence safer.

I drop my bag and spear, near the side of the training arena. I start to make my way through the crowd of women and children. I learn some names and head to the front of the very large crowd. I try to get their attention, but they seem to be not paying attention. I make a loud whistle this seems to pull their focus on to me.

“Hey everyone thank you all for coming. I brought you all together to discuss some important topics today. I want to start off by you all informing me on why most of the females in this pack do not shift to their wolf form.”

No one is saying anything at all. It is complete silence, so I guess I need them to know I'm not mad, I guess. “Don’t all speak at once. Umm okay” I point to one woman who is just sitting down? “What's your name?” she pauses for a moment and then speaks up.

“I'm Merideth.” “nice to meet you Meredith so please tell me why you choose not to shift into your wolf?” she does not say a thing. I have no idea why she is being hesitant to answer me. If she is not going to tell me willingly then I guess I will pull out that I am Luna, and she is required to answer me.

“Ok Merideth, I am your Luna, and I am commanding you to tell me why you do not shift into your wolf.” she hesitates before she answers. “Luna, I do not shift because I was raised it is indecent. Not to mention that our wolfs are weaker than the male wolfs.”

What does she mean indecent? And female wolfs are not weaker than male wolfs. Who told them this? Why do they believe this crap? I need to let them know that we are not weaker than the men. But I need to know if all of them have this kind of thinking.

“Do all of you feel this way.” The females all start to nod so I guess this is the conscience that they are weak and there is no point. That is what it comes down to. They have given up on their wolf. And about the indecent comment is it because there is nudity involved in shifting.

“Okay and why do you all think it is indecent to shift?” I women speaks up. “Well as you know men tend to be possessive of their mates and would not want us showing our goods off to others.” That makes no sense.

I mean I get it guys can be possessive of their mates. But some of the females sleep with males who are not yet mated before they themselves are mated. So where is this care about indecency coming from. It is just a bunch of crap. It does not make any kind of sense.

I sort of get it if you are mated and they do not want to make your mate upset. But it is natural, it isn't like they are trying to show off their bodies for the enjoyment of others. I need to clear this up. I am also wondering what the connection is like if they do not let their wolfs out.

I guess that is between themselves and their wolf. Hopefully we can work pass these things. It will definitely improve the bond they have with their wolfs. I am sure that. I know my wolf would hate it if I never let her out. How deep does this go.

I am even wondering if some of the females have never even shifted. “Well has everyone here at least shifted?” I see some of the females roll their eyes. So, I guess everyone has shifted. “okay well that is good at least”

“So, how often do you all shift?” Meredith speaks up “We all have shifted at 16 on the full moon and then usually we do not do it again unless we have to or have a desire to.” okay so at least they all know how to shift. This is going to be difficult.

Not just because the females are not accused to shifting but because I am going to have help them get over this whole nudity issue as well. I am wondering how to best address this issue. I am unsure if they will even want to train to fight.

I think I need to motivate them. At least if I tell them and show them that females are not weak, we can go from there. “Okay so I know you think that she wolfs are not near as powerful as males and that is just untrue.”

“I will admit we tend to have smaller wolfs but that can be an advantage in a fight. Just because you may be less in stature does not mean that you less than the male wolfs. In fact, I brought you all here to talk and see how I could help. I want to teach you to fight. But I want to show you just what us females are capable of, to give you some inspiration.”

“With that being said I am wanting all of you here tomorrow morning. I will give a demonstration on what I will be teaching you and showing you just how capable our female wolfs are.” a woman chirps up. “How will you show us?” “Well, I will give you a demonstration where I fight with the Alpha. In wolf form and human form.”
