PERSONAL MAID

CLARA'S POV
" Geez, what was that for?" I said inaudibly standing up from bed and wiping my wet face at the same time. Someone poured water on me while I was still sleeping, my bed was soaked and water was dripping from my body. I was cold as the morning breeze blew strongly entering every part of my body. " This must be Renata's hand work" I said in anger, I couldn't think of anyone else except her because, we were the only one that stays in the room. I looked at the clock, the time was twenty six minutes to four. "why would she wake me up so early in such manner" I thought, I was still drying my hair, when I saw her coming out from the bathroom, our eyes met with each other, she rolled her's before looking away. Unlike before when she would always greet me and we would talk while we prepared.
" I want you downstairs before 4 o'clock, " She said, already dressed up while I was just removing my cloth, by the time I was heading to the bathroom, she was already leaving the room. After bathing I swiftly ran out of the bathroom, the water I had used to bath was very cold and by now I was feeling cold more before. I was shivering and my teeth were clashing against each other, making some bugging noise. I took out my towel from the wardrobe, and cleaned up my body before applying some cream. Within ten seconds I was done. I wore my maid outfit and combed my hair before heading to the kitchen. While I was about to open the door, I took a quick glance at the clock, the time was twenty minutes past four.
As I walked down the hallway, I noticed some workers who were already up glaring at me in a very rude way. I could tell they hated me badly and if they were given a knife to stab me to death, they would without any hesitation. I ignored their continuous glaring and stares until I got to the kitchen. I stood outside the door, looking at them for few minutes, Renata was cutting some cabbage, while the other maids were cutting the necessary items that needed to be cut.
Immediately I stepped my left foot into the kitchen, the maids in there with Renata all turned to look at me, they began to mummer, laughing profusely like I looked like a joke. I wrapped my arm around my self as I was still cold a little bit, I walked slowly to the roster to check out what I was to do this morning before leaving for school.
"What! Why? No this must be a mistake " I said looking closely at the roster, the roster had been changed. I was to clean Leo's room everyday, starting from today and the worst part is that no other maid was to join me, unlike when about five to six maids cleans his room.
" Why would you make me Leo's personal maid without his permission " I said with an hoarse voice looking at Renata directly in the eyes. What she wanted to do was quite obvious, she wanted me to become Leo's personal maid so that I would get frustrated and leave. She didn't give me a response after standing for about five minutes, I couldn't imagine myself working alone in the room of a guy that hates me so much. " He would definitely maltreatment me more than he has ever maltreated any of his personal maids" I thought and became scared, I was really worried.
" Renata, I need an answer from you, I can't possibly work in" I was interrupted.
" And I don't care okay, If you can't work in his room, you can just resign and leave this mansion " Renata told me with her left arm in akimbo.
"This is so unfair and uncalled for Renata" I stared at her for some seconds before leaving the kitchen for the store. When I got to the the store, I took out a broom, mop, and a bucket. I carried this three items firmly, walking hastily to Leo's room. I was mad at Renata for doing this, she never gave a listening hear to explain myself, all she does is treat me harshly.
When I got to Leo's room, I stood at the door wondering if he was awake and contemplating if I should knock. I inhaled a deep, letting go of my fears then I knocked gently , but I didn't get any response so I concluded that he was still asleep. Since I had nothing else to do until Leo was awake, I decided to go to my room and wait for a while.
"Oh no, I will have to go through the kitchen" I said aloud, having a second thought about going to my room, " I should just stay here and wait" I thought. Seeing Renata was the last thing I needed now. I was felt so frustrated this morning, I needed to start preparing for school but here I am, waiting for my lazy and annoying boss to wake up in order to clean his room. I made up my mind to go to my room, even though it meant passing through the kitchen and seeing my nightmare. For all I care I was tired of standing here waiting for Leo to wake up, who the hell he is anyways?
I opened the kitchen door and entered inside, closing the door behind me gently. I didn't look at any of them, I kept my face on the ground while I walked straight to the other door. I held the door knob and turned it hurriedly, just as I was about to step outside I noticed someone was also about to come into the kitchen, so I shifted back and was forced to looked up.
" Where the hell do you think you are going to? " It was Renata, the one person I was avoiding, she stood at the door, staring at me. She was holding a tray full of tomatoes, she signalled one of the maid to come and collect it from her. The maid ran to her immediately, pushing me as she collected the tray from Renata. " Yes, I am waiting for an answer, where the hell do you think you are going to? Aren't you suppose to be cleaning the master's room? " She rested her shoulder by the side of the door, looking at her finger while she waited for a response from me.
" I'm going to my room"
"Wh.. "
" Leo is still asleep" I interrupted her before she could ask why. She froze immediately as she kept on looking at me without saying anything. " Can I pass now? " I folded my arm , waiting for her response. I had the urge to push her out of my way but I couldn't bring myself to do it out of fear of what the consequences might be. " Renata! Can I pass now? " I shouted already getting angry because she wasn't responding, immediately she came back to her senses. " What was she thinking?" I thought.
" What did you just call the master? " She asked, walking closer to me, I didn't respond to her, instead I looked confusedly at her.
" What do you mean by "
" Answer me!" She shouted on top of her voice.
"Le...Leo" I said as my heart was beginning to beat fast. The way she shouted made me scared, I thought I must have committed an offense in which the punishment is death.
"You are lucky the master or one of his guards didn't here you call his name, you would have been heading to your grave by now" She pushed me and walked away. I closed to door and went to my room, I kept on wondering if it was a crime to call somebody's name. " What type of person is he anyways " I said aloud as I walked to my room, I didn't care if anyone heard me. When I got to my room, I sat on my bed forgetting that it was soaked with water.
" Shit! " I said, toughing the back of my cloth and found out that it was wet, I walked to the mirror to check it out, it was looking like I urinated on my body. I hissed loudly and angrily removed my bedsheet from the bed, I took it to the bathroom and quickly washed it. I went out to spread my bedsheet at the backyard where cloth were being spread. I also carried my bed outside, so that the sun can be able to dry it and it wouldn't smell. Just as I was about to enter my room, I saw maid walking towards my room, so I stood at the door waiting for her. She kept on looking at me with disgust until she got to where I was standing. " You are needed in the master's room for his massage routine this morning" She said and walked away, without even waiting for a response from me.
" Why should I be in the master's room for some stupid ..hm for some massage" I shouted for her to hear well.
" You know who to ask, she want you down now! " She said, walking away without looking back. I didn't even bother to enter the room anymore instead, I took out the key and left for the kitchen.
When I got to the kitchen Renata and other maids were already, prepared ready to leave. She saw me and gave a deadly stare before adding a mischievous smile.
