CLARA'S POV
"Sir, I think I would go to my room to freshen up " I told Leo while we were still on the staircase, heading to his room. I tried to free my hand again but he was hold my wrist tightly and I wasn't strong enough to force it out. Leo looked at me for some seconds without replying, by now I wasn't hearing ma'am Lauretta screams. " Sir do you mind letting go of my hand? " I asked him.
" Why don't you freshen up in my room? "He said and was about to continue walking but I didn't move which stopped him from walking any further. In as much as I would love to have a nice shower in Leo's bathroom, I couldn't possibly do it because of fear. " Come on, let's go" Leo said again but I still refused. When he saw there was nothing he could do to persuade me to go with him, he left ny hand alone, I immediately used my second had to massage my wrist. "I thought you were going to come, I would have killed you. Why do I need to know if you want to freshen up or not ugh? You should come to freshen up in my room retard" He looked at me and continued climbing the stairs, while I stood where I was looking so shocked about what I just heard. Just now he was persuading me to freshen up in his room abd the next minute he was going to kill me if I freshened up in his room.
" Quite strange" I said inaudibly and turned back to leave angrily. I wondered why he always had to be like this, sometimes he is so good and compassionate towards me and other times he is just a rude brat. I passing through the kitchen, the maids were there going about their different duties, while some gossiping about what had just happened, they didn't even realize when I entered,
"The master has never projected anybody before, neither has he ever stand up for the injustice that often happens to maids like you and me in this mansion, but he stood up for Clara " I heard a maid say while I passed beside them without their notice, I blushed as I passed. I was already getting to the door when Renata turned to pick a knife and saw me, our eyes met and we stared at each other for until I was out of sight from her. Lucky for her, she didn't partake in injustice done to me, instead while ma'am Lauretta and other maids were doing as they please to me she stood at the back watching in silence.
Immediately I got to my room and couldn't find my bed, I let out a sigh of frustration. I had taken my bed outside earlier today. I needed to lie down a little, my whole body was aching, I just removed my maid uniform which was very dirty and put it into a bucket of soapy water with plans to wash it later. I laid down on the floor for some minutes with my face was up the whole time and I kept staring at the ceiling with my mind far way from me. Few minutes later, I got up, washed my maid uniform and had a nice shower. I was still cleaning my body with my towel when I remembered that I had just washed the uniform and had no other to wear. I decided to put on my normal outfit, I took out a jean trouser and a black crop top from my wardrobe. After putting it on, I looked at the mirror admiring myself, it been a while I wore my clothes because I have been stocked with wearing this maid uniform every day.
I left my room not knowing where I was headed but I needed to be out of my room in order to avoid troubles. I found myself in the kitchen few minutes later, immediately I got there all eyes were on me. I felt so unease at that moment, I didn't know what to do as I wasn't based in the kitchen. Going to Leo's room might be a bad idea, their mouths were beginning to move now. My hands were in my back pocket all this while, when I couldn't take it anymore I left the kitchen, within one minutes I was in front of Leo's door.
" Shit! What am I doing here? " I asked myself. "Leo didn't even ask me to come, what was I supposed to tell him when I enter" I thought as I kept on pacing around with my two hands in my back pocket while I kept on biting my lips. " Exactly! I will tell him I came to check if he needed anything " I said smiling mischievously. I was about to knock when the door opened, Leo was standing in front of me. " Shit!" I muttered with my teeth clenched tightly, I was close to biting my lips already because I froze. Leo wasn't helping either, he just stood there without saying anything. His eyes were fixed on me, they weren't even blinking instead they were moving from my head to my toe, his mouth were partly open. I decided to leave since he wasn't saying anything. "Sorry, I would be leaving now thanks" I said and turned to leave.
He grabbed my hand and dragged me into his room and closed the door. I became scared, I was thinking of what Leo was going to me. I knew coming to his room was a terrible idea, I should have just stayed in my room or even in the kitchen.
" What do you want here? "He was standing in front of me, I felt so uncomfortable because he was too close to me, I could feel his breath on my cheek.
"I... hm.. hm...I came to hm check if you need anything. Yes that why I came, but it seems like you are fine. Oh you were even about to go out, sorry for obstructing you I was would be leaving now." I said feeling so relieved that I remembered the excuse I was supposed to tell him at the right time, I nearly forgot. I removed my eyes from his face which was too close to mine. "Sir, can I leave now? " I asked him because he was still holding my hands even after telling him the reason I was here. He brought his face closer to mine, I wondered what he was about to do. I noticed he was looking at my lips " Oh no, let it not be what I am thinking " I thought.
" Mr. Leo I need to ease my self if you don't mind" I said to him putting on a fake smile. He let go off my hand immediately and I turned to open the door to leave.
" Use mine" I heard him say as he walked towards his bed.
"What!?" I said aloud. He turned back immediately and gave me a scaring look while I reciprocated with a fake smile. I opened the door slowly, still giving him my fake smile as I left the room tiptoeing. He didn't say anything instead he just looked at me while I left.
Immediately I closed the door, I rested on it before taking in a deep breath. I wondered what Leo was up to while I walked down the stairs. I heart was beating fast, I kept on holding the rail until I got to the last step. Now I didn't know where to go or what to do, I would just go to my room and stay there for a while till I was needed. I stayed in my room doing nothing till in the evening, I took out my phone and dialled my mum's number. It rang through and she picked up.
" Hello mum" I said with a smile on my face, hearing her voice was relieving.
" How are you doing, I called but you didn't pick. Are you coming back today, you were supposed to come back yesterday, where are you you?" Mum was asking lot of questions, she didn't even give me a break. I laughed loudly, I could tell she was worried.
"Mum, I am fine don't worry. I was suppose to come back yesterday but I forgot. I'm sorry for keeping you worried " I smiled when I heard Jenny shouting my name at the background, I wondered why she was at home by this time.
" Seems like you are enjoying your new job, you have suddenly forgotten us" I chuckled and wished I was actually enjoying the job but it was the opposite. After assuring mum that I was fine and that I was going to come back next week, she was finally at rest. I talked with Jenny for sometime before ending the call. I chatted with few of my friends, it was stressful replying to their messages. The annoying part was that while I was replying them, they were responding immediately asking me more questions which I Ignored. I chatted with only Danielle, I told her everything that was going on, I didn't miss any slightest detail.
I was already feeling sleepy when I heard a knock on my door, it was more like a bang. I didn't even give the person the permission to enter but the person did. It was ome of the maid.
"Leo needs you in his room" She said and left slamming the door in an annoying way. I felt like going to slap sense into her head. I put my phone in my black pocket and left for Leo's room.
