SHOCK AND JEALOUS

I didn't even noticed when they came back, not until their foot steps got loud. I looked up and saw Jack holding Clara on her waist while his other hand rested on her shoulder. I gave him a frowned, and he responded with a confused look on his face that was like asking me what was wrong. They finally sat down on the chair opposite me and Jack was still holding her waist, I wondered what his problem and motive was. Clara wasn't helping either, she rested her head on Jack's shoulder comfortably, not minding the fact that her boss was there.
" Why do I care anyways? " I thought and rolled my eyes at them, crossing my leg fixing my eyes on my phone, but I wasn't doing anything instead I kept on taking glances at them. I could tell Clara was enjoying the slight cuddle she was getting from Jack. For a moment, I imagined how it was going to feel if I was the one actually holding her waist like the way Jack was doing, and if she rest on my shoulder like that without resisting. I smiled, but immediately I noticed the stupid thought I was having, I shook my head waving off the thoughts. Jack and were now talking but I wasn't able to comprehend so just watched them in disgust.
" Jack! Are you ready to talk about your damn reason for calling me or you want to keep on flirting with my maid? " I asked him when I could no longer stand them. Jack literally abandon my reason for being here and was talking with Clara, I noticed his hands were still on Clara's waist but she wasn't bothered. Jack took permission from Clara to leave and requested that we go to hia dada office to talk privately. I stared at him as I rose up, he cackled while we climb the stairs but I ignored him because I knew what he was trying to do.
"What's wrong with you and Clara ugh? Jack asked while we climbed the stairs. I walked past him, ignoring his question which if I responded, more questions were going to follow suit.
" Don't forget, I'm still angry with you. Don't think because I came here it doesn't.
"I know, I know. Sorry "Jack interrupted me and walked faster, flying some steps. He got to his dad's office and opened the door leaving wide open open for me to entered. I entered and closed the door behind me. I gave him an advice not to leave thr door open like that next time, but he shrugged and went ahead to open the window. It was obvious he knew nothing about how the Mafia works. " I have never allowed anyone in my office before and I would never" I thought while I walked in, sliding my two hands in my pocket. Jack wasn't suppose to allow me come into his dad's office, base on the fact that I was in another Mafia cult, and was even the leader. But I guess it was because he trusted me, but there was nothing like trust for the Mafias. My eyes kept on moving through and fro while I was standing, waiting for Jack to bring a file just ss he said earlier. Truth I couldn't trust Jack either, I need to be observant of any slightest detail and movement.
Jack brought the file and ask me to go through it so I could tell what was being said, I looked sternly at him, grabbing the file from his hand and read through it. I told what the file contained and how he was going to handle the situation using my help. His dad had a deal with another Mafia outside Italy to kill a top politician in exchange for a huge sum of money, and now he is unable to do his own part after finding out the politician he was told to kill was his brother. Due to the love he had for his brother, he couldn't bring himself to kill him. He told his brother everything and they agreed to raise money to pay them back, but unfortunately the other Mafia cult didn't want money Instead they wanted the job done.
Luckily, I knew the supposed Mafia leader and gave a call immediately while we were still in the office. I told him to collect the money and drop the case or else he was going to hear from me and he would want that. He apologized and agreed to collect the money, we talked on how the money was going to get to him and I ended the call. Jack kept on thanking me profusely while we headed back to the living room, I instructed him to stop making noise because I haven't forgiven him. When we got to the living room Clara was already sleeping on the couch, she looked like a sleeping goddess. Her lip was curved into a smile like she was having a sweet dream, she hugged her self sitting uprightly with her head resting sideway. I paused watching her for some seconds and I noticed Jack did too, I quickly hit his head and he came back to his senses.
"Ouch! What was that for? " He asked me, walking over to Clara but I pushed him away from her. "Leo is there something you aren't telling me? " He asked me while I was about to wake Clara so we could leave.
" Something like what? " I stopped what I was doing and looked at him in the eyes with my eyebrows arched. He quickly removed his face and turned, heading towards the kitchen. I looked at Clara not knowing how I was going to wake her up, maybe I shouldn't have arched my eyebrows at Jack, he would have still been here.
" Clara, Clara" I called her gently but she didn't wake up. I was about to touch her but I stopped, leaving my right hand hanging in the air, I tried again but I wasn't able to.
" What are you trying to do?" I heard Jack's voice and bit my lips till it hurts.
"Where the hell did he come out from" I murmured. He was moving closer to me, I couldn't think of anything to say or do. " Clara! " I shouted and she jumped up immediately almost falling off but Jack was quick to catch her and I felt bad for doing that. " Why won't she hate you Leo" I thought, watching how Jack was calming here down, she was still in shocked because of the way I shouted her name.
" You are done " I went over to where She and Jack were sitting and pushed Jack away, dragging Clara's hand but she forcefully removed it.
" You have got to calm your nerves down Leo, she ia just "
"Shut up! You have no right to tell me how I treat my maids okay?" I cut him short, pointing my car key at him, I knew where he was heading. He got up with Clara and they were heading to the my car, I walked faster and got to the car before them. I started The engine ready to leave, Clara gave Jack a tight hug and he pecked her on her forehead and to make matter worst, Clara reciprocated with a smile.
"What the hell? " I closed my eyes, taking in a deep breath. I knew when Clara got into the car but I still closed my eyes. I didn't know how I was feeling at that moment. " I'm angry? No. I'm I jealous Na. I'm I disgusted? Yes, that's it, I am disgusted " I thought. I opened my eye and saw Clara looking out of the window, she was resting her head on her left palm.
I took out my earpiece and put it into my ears, connecting it to my phone, I played a music and drove off. Clara and I didn't talk to each other until I got home, immediately I parked my car, she got down and was already leaving and I didn't bother calling her back. When I got inside, some maids welcomed while I climbed the stairs and as usual I didn't respond. I got to the hallway and found Clara resting on my door, I avoided eye contact with her wondering why she was waiting for me. I got there and she shifted backward for me to open the door. After I entered, walking towards my wardrobe, she followed suit closing the door behind her as she kept on looking round the room.
" Okay, I see there is nothing for me to do, so I would be leaving " I turned and saw her staring at me, she had her two hands folded to the back while she bit her lips. She turned to leave When I didn't say anything.
" Wait!" I said immediately she was about to open the door and I walked over to her. "Actually, there is something " I was the one looking at the ground now, I couldn't believe what I wanted to say.
" And that would be? " She asked as she brought her hand to her front pocket.
"Hug me the way you hugged Jack" I felt like cutting my mouth for the rubbish I just said now, this would be the most stupid thing I have ever done in my life. She just stood there, without doing anything. She was helping either, I was so embarrassed to even look up at her.
" Hm, I didn't hug Jack, he hugged me and I "
" Then can I hug you? " I interrupted her, I was getting impatient. "Oh shit I flopped again, I should have just let her be" I thought.
" O.. O.. Okay" I was shocked when I heard her say that, she could have just declined after how I treated her badly. I move forward and hugged her, she stretched out her hand and wrapped it around my back, it felt some good.
