THE KISS

CLARA'S POV
Leo kept on avoiding eye contact with me while he suddenly froze after seeing me with my diary. He had been standing by the door which was still open, no doubt that he was obviously thinking of what to say but this was so unlike him. "Why would he be in this situation because I found my diary under his pillow" I thought, dropping the diary back on the bed and continue to mop the floor. Leo was really acting strange today. I entered his room earlier today and he didn't notice , even though I had been walking behind him the whole time. I concentrated on what I was mopping, hoping that he might say something about it. I finally heard the door close, followed by his footsteps which was too loud. My ears were itchy as I waited patiently for Leo to talk but instead he walked past me without mentioning a word. " Wow! I whispered, the almighty Leo has suddenly gone dumbstruck because of my diary, isn't that bewildering. He threw my diary on his desk and began to remove his shirt. I removed my eyes immediately but I was tempted to have a glance. I turned my head slowly and the first thing I saw was Leo broad shoulder, he had a writing at his back and I tried to have a closer look as the words weren't written boldly. "Leo loves mum and Elisa" I read aloud unknowingly then I chuckled, close to laughing, wondering how childish Leo was but always act tough outside. Still chuckling, I continue mopping the floor, shaking my head in disappointment when my eyes suddenly met with Leo's who had been staring at me. At that moment I realized I talked out loud and immediately raised my hand to cover my mouth, but it was too late. My eyes were wide open and my breathe seized. " What is he going to do now? Clara what have you done!?" Lot of questions kept on popping in my mind while I stood at a spot waiting for Leo's verdict.
Leo glared at me for some minutes while I kept on staring at his feet, wishing I had a magical power that would enable me to hear peoples thoughts. My heart began to race very fast when he started walking towards me with his shirt still in his hand, he had a frown on his face that was like he was about to murder someone. My palm became wet, same with my feet. I felt a sharp itch on my armpit, having the urge to rub it but I couldn't, not when Leo was walking towards me. I left the mop and began to move backwards slowly even though I had the urge to run away, but no matter where I run to he would find me, thereby making things worse. Leo didn't ask me to stop moving backwards, he didn't increase his pace, he didn't shout at me neither did he call his guard to put me into the torture room. Instead he kept on following me until I felt my back hit the door then it dawned on me that, there was no other place to go. All through the time when he was walking towards me and I was moving backwards, Leo didn't take his eyes off my face for a second. He finally got to door and I froze, my eyes had become moist as I had no clue of what Leo was about to do but one thing was sure, he was going to do something terrible. The thought of apologizing and begging him flashed through my head, but after a quick critical thinking, I disuse the idea because it might only annoy him the more.
He moved up his hands and placed it on the door with force which made a loud noise, making some continuous bangs in my ear. His right arm was literally touching my shoulder while his left arm headed for the door knob and he locked it. " What the hell are you up to Leo?" It was like the question was whispered in my heart. Leo smirked in a mocking way and frowned again, he acted like he heard my thoughts. " Leo please, I" I paused when I realized I mentioned his name which was going to make him mad. "I'm sorry sir I"
"Shut up! " He said with an hoarse voice, by now I was shivering already, hot tears rolled down my cheeks and I closed my eyes tightly. I could fell his breath fanning my hot cheeks, his face was too close to my face which made me wonder why he had to be this close to punish me. His left hand grabbed my waist forcefully and he pulled me closer to him. My eyes opened widely instantly as I looked at him directly in his eyes in shock, although I was still very scared because I had no idea of what he was about to do as Leo was unpredictable. I tried to free myself from his hand which was holding my waist tightly. "Close your eyes back" He commanded, but fear wouldn't allow me to obey even if I wanted to.
"Sir, I" Leo pressed his lips on mine, trying to force it open for a proper kiss, but I sealed my lips tightly. His eyes were still open and he was looking at my face which made wonder if he doesn't know that he was meant to close his eyes. In my frozen state, I had to the urge to push him and just run away or continue mopping but something was preventing me to. His lips felt so good on mine and I had the urge to reciprocate. I hadn't kissed anyone for like ages, the last kiss I had with my male best friend was in New Zealand, before dad's death. It was also my first and last kiss. And currently the rich almighty Leo wants me to kiss him. "Reciprocating this kiss felt like a threat from Leo to me but there was no harm in trying right?" I thought. After all he was the one to kiss first. I parted my lips slowly, allowing his lip to be come into mine freely. "It might be his first kiss as he wasn't expert" I smiled at the thought of it. I was startled by the knock on the door, Leo stopped and turned to look at the door before fixing his face on me. He suddenly push me away from him and I nearly fell off due to the slippery floor. He sat on his chair which was opposite his desk and turned on his laptop, without responding to whoever that was knocking. Unlike me who was
frightened and scared by the knock, Leo was looking so calm and fearless. After the person who was knocking didn't get any response, the person left and the knocking stopped. I constantly avoided to look at Leo all through the time I mopped his room. "What have you done Clara?" I felt so ashamed of my self for just making it easy for Leo to kiss me. I was done cleaning and began to head to the door silently, walking as fast as I could in order to make my leaving unaware to Leo who was so engrossed in whatever he was doing on his laptop. My hands had only touch the door knob when he shouted " Stop!" I inhaled deeply, swallowing a big gulp of my saliva. I began to hear his footsteps while he was walking towards me. " What is he doing? Don't tell me he wants to continue the kiss, hell no" I thought while staring at the floor until he got to where I was standing, but I didn't look up at him. This time around he didn't move to close like before, rather he stood about three feet away from me without talking. I looked up slowly and our eyes met, I was quick to remove mine but he commanded me to look at him and I had no other option.
" You mean nothing to me, the kiss also mean nothing. Don't go out there and run your mouth, because you would only embarrass yourself" Before I could process everything he said, Leo pushed opened the door and pushed me out of his room, slamming the door at my face.
