RESTLESS(2)

For the first time I let a girl sleep peacefully on my bed which was still unbelievable to me, it felt like I was sharing my body with someone else and maybe the other person had carried Clara from the gate to my room and placed her on my bed. "But why am I not reacting?" This was the question I kept on asking my self but there was no answer. I had been sitting by the edge of my bed watching Clara while she was sleeping and now I was also feeling sleepy, I needed to rest. For a moment I thought of sleeping on my bed, beside Clara but Immediately I shook off the idea off my head and decided to sleep on the couch instead. I got up to leave but she turned and I froze, my heart began to beat fast like I had done something wrong. Luckily She faced the other side of the room and within a second, she was fast asleep again. I walked to my wardrobe, took out another blanket and went to lie on the couch, though I wasn't feeling comfortable because the couch was quite small and hard.
I jolted up to a scream coming from Clara, I hadn't even slept for an hour when I heard her scream, I ran towards her with my squinted eyes, while she kept on screaming. "She must have had a night mare" I thought, while I tried to calm her down, assuring her that with my presence everything was fine. She drew me closer to her and hugged me tightly, surprisingly I didn't resist instead I was patting her back gently in order to calm her down. She hugged me for about thirty minutes before she let go and laid back on the bed. I was in complicated situation as I didn't know what next to do "should I leave or just lie beside her?" I shook the idea off my head instantly and began to head back to the couch. Clara's hand grasp my shirt and she pulled me back. " Does she want me to stay with her? " I thought, staring at her instinctively. Even if she does, I can't sit on the bed like this all through the night. I tried to move again but she still held me back, this time her grasps was more tight than the first time and she didn't let go of me.
" Just sleep here" She said like a whisper. I could feel the pain, sorrow and agony in her voice. Her request was quite shocking to me, I don't even come too close to girls talk more of sleeping beside one. " What is she thinking? " I thought. After much contemplation, I decided to sit beside her till she falls asleep again, then I would go back to sleep on the couch. She was still holding my hands and I knew she wasn't asleep yet, by now I was already dozing off but I still sat beside Clara.
"What are you doing Leo? You are doing so much for a girl that doesn't even love you, she is not worth you time, care, attention and even your love. Open your eyes Leo, remember you will die once you love her and worst of all she will betray that love that you think will last forever" My dad's voice on ringing in my head and I couldn't help but think, I thought of sending Clara out of my room but it was very difficult for me which was awkward, this is not the normal me. Even while I doze off, Clara was still holding my hand, it wasn't able to tell if she was still awake or asleep. I had been in the same position for about two hours and my back was aching already, I placed my head on the pillow in order to ease the pain, but I ended up sleeping off.
The morning sun shone brightly on my face causing me to wake up, I looked round me and noticed I was lying on my bed and Clara was beside me still sleeping peacefully. For a moment I almost forgot about yesterday event and was about to shout at Clara but memories of last night flooded my head when I saw her injured arm. I moved close to her and patted her hair gently before running my hands on it and she woke up immediately, we stared at each other for some minutes. All of a sudden she jumped out of my bed and was about to head to the door but she fell, she was still in pain and also weak. I ran to carry her but she pushed me away and began to apologize for the stress and inconveniences she caused yesterday, promising to repay me for helping her. " What type of girl are you? Do you know the kind of privilege you have to" I didn't know I was talking out loud, so I stopped talking the moment I realized.
" Ugh? " She said with her eyes fixed on mine. I told her not to bother and she didn't even insist, instead she tried standing up to leave again, but I carried her back to my bed and told her to remain there until I give her the permission to leave. She tried to disobey but I gave her a scary frown before she finally stopped. "I need to prepare for school" She said, I had even forgotten about going to school because of how engrossed I was in making sure that she was okay and she isn't even appreciative. Clara looked at me in a shocking way when I told her we weren't going to school today, she folded her arm across her chest and gave me a frown, forcing me to let out a smirked.
" Rest for today, you aren't feeling well. The maids will be here with your breakfast any time soon. When you get to my bathroom, there are lot of new brushes there, so pick one and brush your teeth before the maids arrive" I said to Clara while I walked to the door, I needed to talk to my guard in case if he had any information.
" What!? Maids? Serve me brea... break what? Hell no, that is not going to happen. Please allow me to go and get it myself, I will be back" She said struggling to rise up from my bed, but the pain she was feeling was holding her back.
"No!" I shouted on top of my voice and she froze"Make sure you must have also had your bath before I get back, there are new items there. We would go for a walk later" I stormed out of the room, slamming the door loudly. I heard her asking questions, but I ignored all, pretending not to hear while I headed to my bodyguard room to know if he has gotten any clue of the Mafias that attacked Clara yesterday. Unfortunately when I got there he wasn't around, he must have gone out to gather more information. While I climb the stairs, heading back to my room, the maids passed me with the breakfast I had requested for since I woke up"So Clara hasn't eaten?" I thought with my hands folded to my back. They all waited for me till I got to where they were standing and opened the door, letting them in one after the other. Immediately they saw Clara on my bed they all froze in shock, their mouth and eyes were wide open while they stood at one spot staring at Clara with out even blinking. It was as if they had suddenly forgotten what they came here to do.
