UNCONVINCE

CLARA'S POV
Leo's attitude towards me was quite fascinating, never have I thought that he could be all this caring and calm. I always thought he had grudges for me and now he has proven it to be wrong but I was still scared that he might change suddenly and the beast in him might return very soon so I wanted to leave and he refused. I walked slowly to his bathroom with pain all over my body, I checked his drawer for the supposed brushes Leo said he had but I couldn't find it, instead I saw various type of body cleaning agent, sanitizers... I was about to leave when I looked up and saw something like a box and opened it there were lot of new brushes just as he had said but they were all black in color. "Devil" I whisper and took out one. The tooth paste wasn't difficult to locate, I applied some on the brush stood in front of the tap brushing my teeth thoroughly while I looked at the mirror. After I was done, I went to lie on the bed again.
"How am I suppose to have my bath in his bathroom, that's not possible" I said out loud and made up my mind to tell him once he get back that, I was going to leave his room. I was about to stand up to look for my phone when I heard footsteps and immediately laid back pretending to be asleep, but my eyes were partly close so I was able to still see. The door creaked open and the maids entered, it felt like I was going have a cardiac arrest any time from now. The most shocking aspect was the way they didn't even bother to knock, at least I would have gone to hide. " Is Leo now this nice to everyone too" I thought angrily. As they entered one after the other, they were staring at me with shock and disappointment written all over their faces, I wonder what they were thinking and what Leo was going to say when he finally gets back. " He was definitely going to get angry with me for allowing them see me lying on his bed" I thought. If only they had knocked, things would have been better. The last person entered and still didn't close the door, then I saw Leo enter and closed the door himself asking them to drop the food on the table and serve me, but it seemed like they were all lost in their thoughts and didn't even hear him and still stood there with their eyes fixed on me.
" Clara, Clara, get up and have your breakfast " He said walking towards me and I closed my eyes tightly, hoping that he doesn't notice I wasn't sleeping. He got the bed and tapped me gently but I still refused to open my eyes neither did I stand up. Instead I turned facing the window in order for him not to stare at my face and catch me red handed, noticing that I was awake. It was embarrassing to look at this maids staring at me in disbelief, looking at each other. It was as if I suddenly lost my dignity, I mean what was I doing in a man's room? On his bed as a matter of fact. "Bring the food over here, I will feed her myself" Leo shouted at the maid, they dazed out of thoughts immediately walking towards Leo, their footsteps were loud enough to wake me up even if I was sleeping. Why would Leo want to feed me in their presence, I wasn't going to allow that but one thing was certain, he probably know I wasn't sleeping, that was why he suggested to feed me not like he was going to anyways. I didn't get up because I was confident that he wasn't going to feed me, not in the presence of this maids. For all I care that was just one of his tricks to make me stand up. He told one of maid to hold the plate of food, while he try to wake me up. Leo called me again but I didn't answer, he tapped me on my lap severally buy I still didn't move. "I know you aren't sleeping so just stand up and eat" He said but I still ignored. Suddenly he carried me from my waist and placed me on his laps like a baby. It was the least I expected Leo to do, I didn't think Leo was serious about feeding me.
"No, No, thank you but I'm fully awake now" I said jumping out from his grasp on my waist, nearly falling the maid who was carrying the food. He didn't say anything, but left his eyes fixed on him. I was certain that he was dying of embarrassment through his facial expression. I removed my face from him and turned to leave but he told the maids to put the food on the table and serve me then they should leave his room immediately.They obeyed him while I was standing at a spot watching as they carried out Leo's instruction. I looked back at him and our eyes met and he removed his instantly. I went over to the dining table after the maids left and few seconds later he came to join me. It was inconveniencing sitting opposite Leo to eat, like Leo and I were practically eating from the same pot, I was perplexed but controlled myself so he wouldn't see it. We have been eating for some minutes but his eyes are stocked in his food, he hasn't even look up at me for once. " Was he angry?" I thought. But for what reason why would he be angry, if anyone was to be angry it ought to be me not him. I rolled my eyes at him and looked at the door, chewing the small chunk of beef in my mouth. Leo finished eating and left the room again, few minutes later I heard a knock and without thinking I said "Come in" The door opened and the maids entered, that was when I realized what I just done but it was already too late. They walked over to the dining where I was sitting, they stared at me with mischievous smile and mocking laugh on their faces.
," I never knew you were this cheap Clara. Really? Everything Renata said about you were true" One of them said while she was packing my plate when I was still eating. I looked at her with rage but her frowning face turned in a fake smile that was like saying " You can't do anything" I wanted to shout at her or even scream but they maid me realize I was still a maid no matter the condition I find my self at the moment and I just sat back looking at them while they cleared the table. Like what they just did wasn't enough, another maid took the remaining water in my glass cup and splash it on my face and called me a slut. She said Leo was only using me and I was a fool for not seeing it. The water dripped from my face down to my body, some part of my cloth had become wet. I sat on the chair looking confused about what had just happened, hot tears began to drop from my eyes. "They were absolutely right Leo is using me, if not what would be his reason for treating me this way. But why? What does he want to achieve from all this? I am such a fool" I said aloud with anger, raising my voice up and shouting at no one in particular. I wiped my tears and decided to leave Leo's room with blithe of whatever may happen, when he finds out I left his room he can do anything he wants for all I care. I walked angrily to the bed to search for my phone, I raised the bedsheet up but couldn't find it then I went back to the pillow and also raised it up, lo and behold I found my long lost diary. "what's my diary doing here?" I asked out loud in surprise, never would I have thought that my diary would be in Leo's room, under his pillow. Instead of taking it along with me, I left it and went ahead to search for my phone. Luckily my phone was on his desk, beside his laptop which made me curious on how it got there but there was no time for investigation or what so ever. I picked it up heading to the door, after looking round one last time to make sure I wasn't forgetting any of my item anf I was satisfied. I held the door knob and inhaled deeply, trying to let go of the thoughts of what Leo might do before opening the door. I finally opened the door just to find Leo and Jack at my front, staring at me. Leo looked annoyed while Jack was looking shocked and surprised.
