CONFUSED FEELING

CLARA'S POV
I was surprised that Jack and Leo were close friends, In school Leo acted like he didn't even know Jack and now he is in his house. Nevertheless, I was mad at Leo for how he embarrassed me in Jack's house, he even called me a thing. If I was a thing why did he bring me along with him? Why did he hug me the other day? Why did he punish ma'am Lauretta after what she did to me?
I knew I met nothing to him neither did he mean anything for me anyways, but based on what Renata had told me about him, he has never treated any other maid or anyone the way he treated me. I felt so bad because he openly called me his maid and a thing, but I didn't want him to notice so I held back the tears that was struggling to flow down my cheek, but I flopped when I couldn't bare it anylonger. I cried in front of Leo and Jack, it was so embarrassing, but as usual Jack was there to console me. He took me to his kitchen and used a wipe to clean my face while he kept on patting my head.
"It fine if you are a maid, I don't mind and I promise not to let anyone know, okay? " Jack said while he wiped my tear, he was standing too close to me placing his left hand on the table. I nodded my head like a baby, I was ashamed to look at him in the eye all his effort to stop me from crying was useless as tears continued to flow down freely. He dragged me forward, making me to lean on him while he wrapped his right hand on my waist and the other on my neck and I kept on crying on his shoulder. He was so comforting and after few more minutes I stopped crying, like he performed some magic. " Are you okay now? "He asked me and I nodded wiping my hand on my face, but he suggested I washed my face and I obeyed. After wiping my face, we went back to the living room and for the first time Leo was avoiding to look at me in the eye.
"Was he feeling guilty? No, that definitely not possible" I thought while Jack was occupying me to sit on the chair. I finally sat on the chair with Jack still beside me, he kept on petting me not until Leo shouted at him. I heard Jack tell Leo that they should go to his father's office, Leo rose up immediately and they left leaving me alone with the scary looking guards in the living room. The girl who had opened the door when we arrived, passed through the living room, heading towards the kitchen as she kept on staring at me while she walked. I gave her a light smile and she responded with a fake smile on her face. I wondered who she was, although her face seemed quite familiar, I just hoped she doesn't know me and that she wasn't attending Early Heights.
I started to feel sleepy after few minutes, but I was scared of falling asleep. Not when these armed men that call themselves guard are standing here. I fought back the sleep in my eyes but it had total control over me. I was woken up by Leo in the most annoying way ever, I jumped out from the chair almost falling off from the chair but someone grabbed me, I looked up and saw it was Jack. I smiled at him while I rolled my eyes at Leo and he walked away. He insisted we leave immediately, Jack shockingly hugged me and pecked me on my forehead. I was surprised because he did it knowing full well that Leo was standing about ten feet away from us and he was clearly watching, I wonder why he wasn't scared this time around.
While we were heading back, I didn't even bother talking to him and thankfully he didn't. We finally we got to the mansion and I got out from his car immediately without asking him if he needed anything, I planned on going to my room to read. But while I was going, I just felt like he might need me to do something and I wouldn't need any disturbance when I start reading. I decided to go to Leo's room first in case he needed anything. When I got inside the maids were all looking at me like they had nothing else to do, but I didn't mind because I was used to their continuous stares and glare.
I knocked at Leo door but didn't get any response, while I was about to knock again I saw him about to climb the step. I just stood where there waiting for him to get here and open the door, he was surprised to see me standing there. He opened the door and entered while I followed suit and closed the door, I looked round but didn't find anything to do, I waited for him to probably tell me what to do for me but he didn't so I assumed there was nothing to do.
I was about to leave but he said there was something to do so I waited for him to give the instruction, he walked up to me and told me to hug him just like the way I hugged Jack. I became confused wondering what was wrong with him, he was looking at me without taking his face off for a second. Then I remembered that I didn't hug Jack Instead it was the opposite, I told him and he asked if he could hug me. For a moment I thought he was kidding, or maybe it was another of his tricks so he could be able to shout at me or even punish me. I agreed just to see what his reaction would be, not really like I wanted him to hug me.
" That would be the last thing Leo would ever do right?" I thought. Leo moved closer to me and hugged me, I froze for few seconds and foolishly wrapped my hands around his back, resting my head on his shoulder. My heart was beating fast because I was afraid of what Leo might do next. "What if he was trying to do something annoying again" I thought, I was sure he could feel it my heart beat. Leo didn't say anything, he didn't move, he didn't pushed me away just as I was expecting. We had been standing there for about twenty minutes and Leo wasn't saying anything, for a second I thought he was sleeping so I tried moving back but he moved me closer to him. He removed his hands around my body slowly.
" You can go now" He said and went over to his bed.
" That is it?" I said inaudibly while I looked at him as he sat on his bed and turned to look at me, our eyes met and I removed mine and left his room. " What was I expecting anyways" I thought while walking down the stairs. When I got to the kitchen, I heard the maids talking about ma'am Lauretta getting killed the next day. I had completely forgotten about her, I ran back to Leo's room immediately, I kept on knocking but no one answered.
" Le... Sir, are you in there?" I asked, hoping that he was inside.
" Come in" I heard him say, it was weird because I had been knocking but he didn't respond not until I talked. I got in and saw him lying on his bed, he was covering his self with his blanket, I couldn't even see his face or any part of his body. " What do you want" He asked, his voice sounded calm unlike the way it use to be which made me wonder if he was fine. I had even forgotten the reason why I came back not until he asked me.
"Hm..sir are you hm... I wanted to ask if you could pardon ma'am Lauretta" I asked him but I no response. " Sir can you"
" Just go!" He said with an hoarse voice. Something was definitely wrong with him, I didn't know if I should leave or stay here with him.
