CLARA'S POV
"Why the sudden change of mood and reaction?" I thought while walking to sit on the couch. I wondered if I had upset him, but yes of course the question was annoying. I literally asked him if he was capable of murder, I mean what was that suppose to imply? I only hope Leo wasn't angry with me. Hours passed and Leo wasn't back, which made me worried sick, l picked up my phone and dialled his number severally but he didn't answer. After much contemplation I decided to call Jack and he didn't answer his call too. When I was tired of waiting I left the room hurriedly and went to look for his guard. "It's late already where could Leo be?" I thought while fidgeting with my fingers and hot tears began to roll down my cheeks. When I inquired to know about Leo's whereabout from the maids they insulted me, calling me all sorts of names which made me angry and more worried.
" If anything happens to Mr. Leo, you will be at fault" A maid shouted while I was leaving the kitchen. I became scared than ever that moment, finding Leo in a good condition was the only thing that mattered to me right now so I chose to ignore the maids, for all I care they could die of envy. I found Leo's bodyguard at the gate with the security guards, when he saw me running towards him, he immediately got up and walked up to me. The first question he asked me when he got to me was if anything happened to Leo, he was about to run to the room.
" No, I don't know. Where is he? I have been looking for him, he hasn't come back to the room since he left. I think he is angry with me, help me find him please " I knelt down on the floor and began to weep profusely while the bodyguard tried to calm me down. The bodyguard asked me the last time I saw Leo and I told him, he then asked me if I checked his office. " His office? No" I got up and began running to Leo office, while his guard followed me. When I got to the stairs, I nearly fell off but Leo's bodyguard was quick to catch me, but I had already hit my toe in the process. I began to hop towards Leo's office because of the pain I was feeling. Without knocking, I opened the door only to find Leo sleeping comfortably on his chair with his head placed on the desk. He woke up instantly because of the noise, he began to walk towards me looking all confused. " Why didn't you pick up your calls? Why didn't you come back to the room? Why did you have to keep me worried till now? Why?" I couldn't even control my emotions neither was I able to control the tears rolling down my cheeks at that moment, while I kept on hitting Leo chest out of frustration.
Leo pulled me closer to him and hugged me tightly while trying to also wipe away my tears and apolozing at the same time. He said he was so tired and slept off in his office after Jack left. After I was calm, he suggested we go to the room and I got up to walk when I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my toe, I had completely forgotten about it. Leo noticed and bent down to carry me but I refused and he carried me forcefully against my will. "Put me down, I can walk" I screamed at Leo but he refused.
"You are just so stubborn" Leo said and I chuckled before hitting him on his head. When we got to the room, he placed me gently on the bed and began to massage my toe which was quite painful. "Why were you crying?" Leo asked me but I didn't respond instead I looked away. He asked the second time and I pretended not to hear until the third time when his voice became louder. He stared at me waiting for an answer while he kept on massaging my legs. "Don't lie to me and don't tell me nothing"
"I thought you were mad at me. I was scared and worried when you didn't return, I was" Leo placed his index finger on my lips, preventing me from talking any further. He said he already heard what he needs to hear. After placing a kiss on my cheek, Leo told me to go to bed but I refused because I wasn't feeling sleepy instead I was ever active than usual. Leo rose up and was about to leave when he suddenly moved his head towards my direction, his eyes were fixed on mine. He looked like he wanted to say something but he couldn't say it. "Say it, I'm listening" I said in my calm and encouraging voice. Leo sat down beside me, stroking ny hair. "Are you okay? " I was curious about Leo's sudden change of mood but I couldn't think of anything that must have triggered it.
"Do you love me Clara?" Leo's question threw me off balance, as I wondered why he was suddenly asking. I was about to answer when he said " I need nothing but the truth Clara, do you have feelings for me?" I needed to inhale deeply before replying, not bothering about what the next action might be. At the same time I wondered what difference it would make if I told Leo the truth. "Would he admit to also like me? Would he ask me to stay away from him because I was starting to distract him? Would he tell me I wasn't good enough for him?" I have watched lot of movies and sometimes stuff like this happens after the lovers must have admitted their feelings towards each other. Leo eyes haf become widen and was fixed on my lips eargerly waiting for my answer. He serious face, which was full of anxiety actually looked so sexy and hot, it was something I couldn't fail to notice. I lifted Leo's hands gently and placed it on my laps, making sure our fingers intertwined. Leo on the other hand bit his lower lips and sweat rolled down from his head down to his cheek as he tried wiping them off immediately.
"Yes, I do love you. So do you mind telling me what is wrong with you now? " I finally said and all Leo did was still stare at me like he didn't hear anything I said not until I shouted his name in order to get his attention. Leo surprisingly knelt down beside the bed and took out my hands holding it tightly but gently. "Anything else? Is there something bothering you? You know you can always talk to me right?" Leo looked so worried and I noticed it, it seemed like he was hiding something which I needed to know.
"What if you get to find out tomorrow that I am not the type of person you think I am, #would you still love me? " Leo was not only confusing me but also making me scared. Why is he asking these questions now? "Forget it, just be my girlfriend" I never saw this one coming. The almighty, arrogant and most feared Leo asking me to be his girlfriend? "Yes" I finally said after staring at him for a few minutes which seemed like forever. Leo gloomy face suddenly changed into an excited and a blissful one, I immediately got a kiss on my lips before getting lots of pecks all over my face. Leo seemed very happy, I have never seen him this ecstatic before.
" I love you too, I love you so much Clara. Although I don't really know much about how love works but I am willing to learn with you" Leo said as our two hands intertwine again. "Are you hungry?" Leo asked me but I wasn't hungry, all I needed was to rest and sleep on my lover's arm. While Leo and I laid on the bed, cuddling each other tightly, we talked about lot of things, most especially things about ourselves until we finally slept off.
The sound of my alarm woke me up and did same to Leo, but I told him to go back to sleep as it was too early. "I need to be at home today, so go back to sleep" I said to him, picking up my necessary things I would be needing.The moment I took a first step, I felt a little pain on my toe. " Leo's massage worked well" I thought while I bent down to take a good look at it. Leo suddenly rose up from the bed with a sleepy eyes and insisted on taking me home but I was smart enough to decline the offer knowing what mum would ask lot of questions.
