BLOOD MOON

Clara was so annoying, I wondered if this was how much she hates me. I have been looking after her since yesterday and didn't even get a thank you, talk more of a hug. "To hell with her" I let out a scoff, heading to my bathroom to have a shower. My mind was made up never to be bothered about her any longer, she was just my maid after all. Hours passed and Clara didn't come back, even when I ordered for my dinner she didn't come with the maids. "Seems like she wasn't fully enlightened about her job" I whispered the moment I saw the maids entering and Clara was no where to be seen. After eating dinner, I brought out her diary and began to read. The next page drew my attention so bad because it wasn't about het normal daily activities, neither was it about her life. The heading was boldly inscribed "The features I want in a guy" I read slowly, unawareness that I was reading it aloud. "Is this some kind of joke? Do people actually do this? What a waste of time" I laughed out loud, flipping over to the next page and continued reading, but my mind was on the previous page I had just skipped. I was dying to read it badly but my pride wouldn't allow me, so I put back the diary under my pillow and lay on my bed to sleep.
I was awakened by the sound of thunder storms which made me jump out of my bed thinking that it was the Blood moon that had come to attack me before I did tomorrow, but when I opened my eyes and looked through the window, it was raining heavily. A sigh of relief breathe through my mouth for a second and I buried my head in my pillow. I wasn't going to school today because I had a meeting with my members, we need to discuss on how we were going to attack the Blood moon the following day . I couldn't help myself but think about Clara again, wondering if she was going to school and how she was going to go in this heavy rain. "Why do you even care Leo?" I closed my eyes to continue with my sleep, but the thunder storm got louder and was unbearable. I rose up from my bed and ran my hand through my hair while walking to the window to get a glimpse of outside. On getting the window, I saw Clara going to school, she was had an umbrella with her which wasn't even enough to protect her from getting drench by the rain. " What is she thinking" I thought, watching her while was she running towards to gate. I moved to the window at the end of my room which was facing the gate, she stood at the gate showing the guard a pass letter but they didn't even bother to check it before opening the gate for her and I smirked, remembering what I told them the day Clara got hurt.
FLASHBACK

After I laid Clara on my bed gently, I covered her with my thickest blanket and stormed out of my room, leaving her in care of my guard who I instructed to stand by the door. I went to the security guards and started shouting at them one after the other." Why did you leave her to stay outside, seeing the terrible condition she was in ugh? " I shouted at them on top of my voice. One of the men tried to explain but I didn't give him room for explanation because, I knew he wanted to emphasize on the fact that I was the one that gave the rule not to allow any worker or any body into the mansion one it clocks ten, even if the person was dying. I just needed to let out my anger on them. " From today, no matter the time Clara goes out or get back, make sure you open the gate for her. Mind you only Clara" They are nodded their head and chorused "Yes sir" I turned to leave only for me to notice some maids at my back giggling. " Get out! You fools" I screamed at them and they all scattered.

A knock on my door jolted me back and I answered it myself this time around, my guard stood at my front the moment I opened the door. I was certain that he was here pertaining to the meeting we had today. "Sir the meeting is by twelve noon" He said handling me a file and I remembered the one he gave me yesterday was still untouched. "All right, thank you" Suddenly I noticed he had a surprising look on hia face as he stared at me with a confused look on his face. " What's wrong?" I asked him out of curiosity and he said it was because I told him thank you. I shook my head and closed the door forcefully, causing a loud bang which made some things in my room to vibrate. I walked hastily to my desk to got the other envelope which was inside the drawer, bringing out everything that was inside it. There were pictures and papers which I supposed to be documents. I read them one after the other. The man had even signed a contract to bring me to their leader within a month, he clearly did all this because of money. There was no way he was going to persuade me to go along with him, neither can he forcefully take me there. It also stated that they were making plans of attacking my Mafia next month, I chuckled the moment I saw it. "They don't know what awaits them tomorrow" I said smiling while looking at the pictures of the man that was killed along with his family, I barely even know him "How was he planning on taking me to the leader of the Blood moon?" I thought. I put back the papers and picture into the envelope, leaving it on my desk. The other envelope my guard gave me was a map we needed to study in order to know our ways around the Blood Moon estate which was really large, with lot of corners. We also had to study the structure of the building. My guard really did a good job by getting this tangible information. By past ten I was ready to leave for the meeting, I picked up the envelope and was heading to my door when I heard a knock, I opened the door and saw my guard, he was also ready to leave so we left for the meeting together even though I wanted to go alone.
