NEW FEELING

CLARA'S POV
I had been restless since yesterday, Leo's last sentence seemed not to be leaving my head anytime soon, until I am convinced that he is fine and nothing had happened to him. Even while I was in school, my mind was far away from me and Jack seemed to notice it. He asked me continuously if I was all right and my reply was always a "yes" Through out the whole lectures we had today, I didn't grab anything that was being taught. Some student were gossiping about why Leo hasn't been in school since the beginning of this week, they kept on saying lies that suit them but I didn't care as long as I have been seeing him. My only problem at the moment was Leo's last statement yesterday and my harsh reply. Once it was time for dismissal, I ran out of the class immediately which got me stares and unnecessary laughs from my classmates. I ran down the stair like I was being pursued, some people began to give me weird looks while they also paved ways for me in order to avoid getting hit or pushed. Someone was also running behind me but I didn't bother to look until I was outside the building, it was Jack.
" Allow me to drop you off since you are in a hurry and also not in the right state of mind" I was quick to agree and Jack smirked, trying not to laugh. "It is Leo right?" He asked me but got no reply, I rested my head on my hands, staring blankly at the while window while he began to drive. " Leo finally has someone to worry about him, you really like him right " Jack asked, already bugging me with all his questions. He doesn't want to give up with the questions he had been asking all day. "Answer me Clara, if you don't I will take it for a yes. Do you like Leo"
"No! I d..I..I.. Just continue driving and leave me alone" I said to Jack, avoiding to look at him directly in the eye. "Was I about to say I do? "I asked myself in my head, staring blankly at the window. Jack dropped me off at the gate, handing a paper to me and left immediately. According to Jack he was going back to school for something important, else he would have followed me in. I gave him a nod and a wry smile as he left, driving on full speed just like Leo. The moment I step my foot into the mansion, the first place I headed was Leo's room but it was locked. After sitting outside his room for two dying hours without even realizing, my body began to ache, most especially my back. When I couldn't bare the aching any longer, I went to my room to get changed and wait for Leo's arrival. I was removing my skirt when I felt something in my pocket, it was the paper Jack gave to me. Silly me didn't even bother to check what the context of the paper was about. Leo's number was staring directly at my face and I was amazed on how Jack knew I would be needing Leo's number. "Quite strange" I whispered, bringing out my phone instantly to dial Leo's number. After calling Leo and he didn't pick, I dialed it the second time and it was switched off. "No doubt he is avoiding me, but how does he even know I am the one calling?" I said aloud, rolling my eyes in anger.
Two hours passed and I went to Leo's room to find out if he was back, but disappointingly he wasn't. On getting to the kitchen, there was nothing I could help with, which was quite awkward because there was always something to do when Renata was still in charge. I went back to room to read but I wasn't able to concentrate, it just seemed like there was absolutely nothing I could do at the moment. All my body needed was Leo who unfortunately is mad at me. While I laid on my bed thinking continuously, I started feeling sleepy and nearly dozing off when suddenly I heard screech from a car that had just parked in front of the mansion . "It must be Leo" I said with excitement, storming out of my room forgetting to lock the door. I passed the back door and had to go through the kitchen. The moment I saw blood, I became frightened and I paused for some minutes. My adrenaline began to rush faster than normal and my heart became heavy. For a few seconds, it felt like I wasn't breathing as my body and as still in shock after seeing the blood on the floor. "Leo!" I screamed in pain before falling on my kneels, while I look down weeping profusely. I didn't care about the people around who were looking at me like I just ran mad. Now I understand what he was saying yesterday. Something must have definitely happened to him, my only wish was that he didn't die
" Die? Die? Die? No! He can't " The moment I thought about Leo being dead, I rose swiftly clambering up the stair as fast as I could, hitting my leg constantly because I wasn't concentrated . I trailed the blood drops on the floor to Leo room while passing through the hallway. I force Leo 's door open, forgetting to knock as it didn't matter until I was sure Leo was fine.
He was sitting on the couch placing his leg on the table, while a doctor in white long gown was attending to him as he was wincing in pain. His hand was folded in a fist like he was going to hit the doctor, but I knew it was because of the pain he is passing through at the moment. What bothered me was why he would call a doctor to attend to him at home when he could have just gone to the hospital and get a proper treatment. He noticed my presence and got mad, I could see it from the side of his face. From the look of things, he was going to say something anything time soon. I was relief that he was alive and my heart because calm the moment I set my eyes on him. In a blink, I found myself wrapped around Leo's back hugging him tightly. Surprisingly, Leo reciprocated the hug immediately. The shocking aspect was the fact that he hugged me tightly, fully aware of his guard and the doctor presence. Later he made me sit beside him while I rested my head on his chest. I could hear his heart beat which made my lips curl into a wide smile, never have I thought Leo would be so comfortable with me being closed to him. Few minutes later, the doctor spoilt the mood by asking me stand up for a while as Leo needed to turn sideways for a while, and I did as instructed" After he was done, I didn't know how to sit back on the chair and hug Leo again as it might seem absurd to him. After Contemplating, I decided to just sit on the chair without hugging him, except he does. Things got even worst as Leo pulled me backwards and I ended up sitting on his lap while he wrap his arm around my neck. Indirectly he was asking for a hug, which I did without waiting for him to say it. i was perceiving the scent of his hair and his body while my head was rested on his broad shoulder with my eyes closed.
"Who are you? And what have you done to this body?" I asked Leo, still hugging him with my chin still resting on his shoulder as I opened my eyes slowly to look at him. Leo cheek was locked in a smile all through the time we hugging each other. "I was scared that I might not see you again" I told Leo in a very quiet voice that was more like a whisper, and he also admitted that he was scared which was his reason for trying to stay alive. I actually wondered what he meant by staying alive. But that didn't matter now, i just need to take advantage of the new Leo while it last. Leo began to rub his hand around my back slowly, his hug became tighter while the doctor began to stitch his injury. He was definitely in pain, I could tell that. I tried to calm him down by running my hands on the top of his smooth hair gently, buy it was enough. I moved back a little, freeing myself from the hug and he let go of me. He folded his fist immediately with his eyes still close. I took his hands and locked it together with mine and he opened his eyes as I expected. He fixed his eyes on mine with his face quite relaxed. Unexpectedly, Leo moved his lips closer to mine and our lips sealed in a kiss until the doctor was done stitching his injured legs.
