Chapter 62 - Thirsty

**MATURE CONTENT WARNING. As the chapter name may suggest (to those that know the lingo), there is some particularly spicy sexual content in this chapter. It's their honeymoon phase, what can I say? ;)**

Adalyn flopped back on the sofa. She was absolutely stuffed. Kai had done a big breakfast of bacon, eggs and pancakes with mixed berries and chocolate chips baked in to them.

"Those pancakes were amazing! Where did you learn how to make them?" Adalyn asked whilst massaging her belly.

"I used to stay at the manor house in Valley Banes quite a lot when I was younger. Tsuna always had me in the kitchen with her." As Kai responded he cocked his head to the side as he looked at Adalyn laid back on the sofa. In the absence of her bringing any extra clothes, Kai had loaned her one of his t-shirts to put on. It fitted her like a dress and with her bare legs out, he couldn't help but try and catch a glimpse of what else was under it whilst she was distracted.

Adalyn could feel his eyes on her and she sat up suddenly to protect her modesty causing a small frown to appear on Kai's face.

"Anyway... I suppose I should head back home soon."

Kai couldn't help but notice that she suddenly seemed a bit too keen to leave.

"Already?" He asked. The frown was increasing in size on his face. They had just mated and if anything, he wanted her more than before. "It's only just after 9, can't you stay a bit longer?"

Kai went to sit next to her. *'Maybe if I kiss her I can convince her to stay,'* he told himself.

Adalyn promptly stood up to avoid him touching her as he sat down.

*'Okay, that was weird'* he thought again.

"I know, why don't you give me a quick tour of your apartment before I go?" Adalyn asked as she spun around the room. She knew she was acting a little bit weird but was trying her best to play it off.

"Yeah....sure" Kai responded slowly. He wondered if maybe she was still a bit pissed off about what happened in the club yesterday when she brought it up again this morning, or perhaps she was she just playing hard to get. The latter option definitely had both him and Pax intrigued. Surely she had to be feeling the same sexual pull he was feeling from their new affirmed bond.

As Kai got up off the sofa Adalyn walked ahead to start exploring. She pushed opened one of the closed doors to peak into one of the rooms. As she stuck her head in, she could see that it was one of the spare bedrooms. Kai was up behind her in a matter of moments as she stood in the doorway.

"This is second bedroom" Kai pressed his body up against her back. His erection pressed up against her ass in his trousers. He leaned in to her ear and whispered. "Want to have a closer look?"

This time Adalyn actually flinched and quickly moved away from him further in to the room.

Kai's heart sank. He wasn't imagining it after all. "Okay, that enough. Now I know it’s not my mind playing tricks on me. What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Adalyn tried and failed to reply innocently.

"Every time I go to touch you, you pull away from me, don't tell me nothing is wrong. You just flinched when I touched you."

"I just need a bit of space."

Kai's whole body dropped. "Space? From me? We've just mated and now you want space? Are you still angry about what happened in the club yesterday?"

"No..." Adalyn tightened her lips as she struggled not to make him feel bad.

"Then why aren't you letting me touch you? We're barely in the honeymoon phase and all I can think about is touching you. Isn't the pull of our bond the same with you?"

"It is." Adalyn really wanted to touch him too but she was holding back.

"Then tell me what's wrong. Not being able to touch you is driving me crazy. Is it about us being together last night? Did you lie to me, was you not ready?"

"No, I wanted to be with you."

"Then what is it?" This wasn't making any sense to him.

"I just don't think we have to be in a hurry to do it again"

Kai's mouth actually dropped open. Her seemingly nonchalant comment was like a huge dagger in his pride.

"What? Did you not...enjoy it? From what I could tell I thought..." Kai couldn't believe he was having to second guess himself. He'd never had any issues satisfying a woman before. His mind was questioning everything. Did she just pretend to enjoy last night? He was almost too afraid to ask.

"I did!" Adalyn said without hesitation.

"Well if that's the case, am I missing something? Do I need to read your mind to understand what the real issue is?"

"No Kai!" Adalyn panicked. That was the last thing that she wanted.

"Then talk to me! If we both loved it why on Earth would we not want to do that again anytime soon? In fact, why are we not doing it right now is the real question."

"Kai!" Adalyn was now pacing around the room as though she was looking for an escape route, but Kai was blocking the doorway.

"You keep saying my name but you're not actually saying anything."

"I'm just saying, why do we need to do it again so soon. We're both satisfied for now right? We don't need to rush in to it again."

Kai's eyes were growing wider with every comment she made. He was completely bewildered. "Satisfied?!" Kai took a few slow breaths and started massaging his temples. If she thought last night was going to be enough to sate him for a while, she was very much mistaken. He had held back being aware that it was her first time, but if anything, he wanted her more now. After gathering his thoughts for a moment to calm himself down he looked back over at her again. Patience was not his forte, but he didn't want to snap at her.

"Okay... let me explain it like this, because quite clearly my pull towards you sexually clearly outweighs your own. From the moment that I discovered you I have been celibate."

Adalyn looked at Kai curiously, trying to understand where he was going with this.

"That's one whole year Adalyn. Do you know how hard that is for a male in his prime?"

Adalyn actually looked annoyed with this statement. Why was that her problem. "I never told you to do that! Do you want a medal?!"

"That's beside the point! Imagine a traveller walking through a long hot dry desert for a whole year. That traveller finally gets a sip of water. A beautiful soul quenching sip of water. It's the best thing he's ever tasted, then as soon as he takes a sip he's then told that he can't have anymore."

Adalyn looked at him confused.

Kai sighed. "That traveller is thirsty... very...very...thirsty. One sip is not going to be enough to *satisfy* him. Please tell me that you understand what I'm getting at here?"

"Yes, I get it." Adalyn rolled her eyes.

"Then if you get it and both you and I enjoyed it, what is the real issue?"

"I.." Adalyn was struggling to say the actual words to explain what she was worried about.

Kai's patience was now on its last legs.

"You have 5 seconds before I start listening to your thoughts again...5"

"Kai!"

"Stop just repeating my name Adalyn...4"

"Please don't make me say it!" Adalyn jumped in the bed and pulled the sheets over her.

"Say what?" Kai was completely baffled. He walked over to the bed and started pulling at the sheets. "Adalyn. Stop hiding and talk to me. Are you going to do this every time we have a serious conversation? We're mates, just tell me what you're thinking."

"Okay Okay!" Adalyn continued to hold the sheets firmly over her head. She couldn't say it and look him in the eye. "It was just really painful and I felt really sore after. I'm only just starting to feel comfortable now."

Kai sighed at her words then frowned. *'Is that what this is about? Great! Now I feel bad.'* he thought. He felt bad for teasing her.

"Good! You should feel bad!" Adalyn responded after hearing his thoughts that he accidentally let slip out.

"Hey! The privacy thing goes both ways you know!" Kai clearly needed to get used to this new mate mind link too.

Kai sighed. "Baby, you know that's normal for your first time, right? The next time won't be like that."

Adalyn whipped the sheets off of her head. "I mean, really really sore." She stared in to her hands with embarrassment. "I... I don't think I can...accommodate you."

Kai's jaw fell wide open now. He couldn't stop a small smile from forming at the use of her language.

"Adalyn... you *'accommodated'* me just fine. He was now struggling to hold back a laugh, seeing how uncomfortable she was with this topic. "We're mates, we're made for each other."

"It's not funny Kai!" Adalyn pulled the sheet back over her head. "You're big and.." Adalyn was getting more flustered by the second and Kai was finding it incredibly amusing.

"So what are you trying to tell me exactly? That we're not going to have sex ever again?" He started to wonder if all of their difficult conversations in the future would be via a bed sheet.

"I just think a bit of space would be..."

Kai pulled the sheets off of her then balled them up and threw them across the room. "Nope!" He shook his head. "I don't do space! Not with my mate. Come here."

Kai reached out for her and she shuffled further back in the bed.

"No! Did you not just hear me?"

"And I told you it won't be that way the next time around!"

Adalyn rolled her eyes

"Stop rolling your eyes at me. You don't believe me? Come here."

"No!"

Kai grabbed Adalyn by her foot then started pulling her over towards him.

"Kai! Will you sto..mmmff"

Kai forced his lips over hers and started kissing her. The fight in her left the second their lips connected and before she knew it, she found herself kissing him back. The passion in their lips made their new mate bond roar back to life. Kai moved his lips from her mouth to her neck.

"I'm not going to force myself on you, but I'm pretty sure I can convince you." He said softly against her. When he reached his mark on her neck, he started sucking it, causing her to moan quietly.

"Is it working?" He said in between kisses.

"Kai" Adalyn responded with her eyes now closed "You're not fighting fair"

"You're right, there's nothing fair about this." Kai started to pull her t-shirt up over her head. "My mate tells me that she doesn't want to have sex anymore because she thinks she can't *accommodate* me and I'm trying to show her that's not the case."

With Adalyn now naked on her back in front of him. Kai swiftly removed his trousers so he was naked as well.

The mate bond was clearly affecting her and she was already wet. Kai grabbed another condom out of the drawer and rolled it on to himself. He pulled her hips towards him and started lining himself up with her.

"Look at me, baby this isn't going to hurt. Do you trust me? If not, I'll stop right now."

The need to continue was already overwhelming her, and Adalyn nodded. Kai rubbed himself around her entrance then slowly pushed himself in.

Adalyn arched her back up as she felt the now familiar fulness.

*'God she's so tight,'* he thought. "Now look down" Kai prompted with now hooded black eyes. Kai parted her legs so that she could see him fully sheathed inside of her.

"I can't!" Adalyn said embarrassed.

"For someone who says that they can't *accommodate* me, I want you to see how *hospitable* you're being," he said cheekily.

Adalyn was still getting used to this perverted side of Kai. He was going to keep throwing that word back at her. "How can you be so crude?!"

Kai narrowed his eyes and stilled at her comment.

"Crude? What part of me enjoying making love to my mate is crude? Now look at me."

Adalyn peaked down briefly.

"That's all of me baby. You have all of me and damn you feel good for it. Is it painful?"

Adalyn said nothing. She was still too embarrassed to comment. Kai pulled out of her then slowly eased himself back. Adalyn threw her head back as Kai elicited a long moan from her.

"Hmm?" Kai prompted as he tried to get her to answer his question. He did another slow torturous stroke and Adalyn moaned again.

"Use your words Adalyn. Is it painful?"

She bit her lip as the pleasure coursed through her body. "No"

"Does it feel good? Me inside of you." Kai repeated another long, slow stroke. "Tell me." He whispered.

Adalyn tugged at the bed sheet. The pleasure felt amazing.

"Does it feel good Adalyn?" he prompted again.

"Yes..." She replied back. She was already starting to feel breathless.

"Do you want me to stop?"

"No." Adalyn's eyes were now black to match his.

"Good." Kai leaned closer towards her. "Then don't ever tell me that we're not going to do this again. I can never have enough of you"
