Chapter 32

Alpha Kai POV

I am an idiot. I already know that I fucked up. I know what I did is wrong, and I do not need Beta Bailey to lecture me about any of it. "What?" I growl at her. I hope she did not see anything or has anything to say right now.

"It is Alaska. She needs you. Doctor James is concerned. I come to find you," Beta Bailey says.

My heart sinks. "I had to run off some steam. Seeing my Alaska with Finn, it broke me," I try to defend myself.

Beta Bailey looks sympathetic toward me and not judgemental. She did not know what I was doing. No one knows except me and that whore, Kim.

"I understand, Alpha Kai, but Alaska needs you now. Something is wrong with her," Beta Bailey says.

"Lead the way," I say. We begin to run toward the pack house. My heart is sinking, and my mind is racing. I fucked up badly. I have to tell her the truth. Beta Bailey stops.

"Do you hear that? Someone is following us," Beta Bailey questions me.

We both look behind us, and there is some rustling. I am positive it is Kim following us. "I do not hear anything. Let's get to Alaska," I insist, but Beta Bailey is not having it.

"You go to Alaska, and I will see what the noise is," Beta Bailey says to me.

FUCK! I am not sure if Kim knew she was caught, or better yet, we were caught, but she decided to make herself known. "It is just me," Kim says. She pops out of the woods and into the opening where Beta Bailey and I are listening to the leaves rustle and trying to figure out what is in the woods. I already knew, but Beta Bailey did not until this little whore popped up.

"Why are you out here, Kim?" Beta Bailey asks her.

Kim smiles at me and then at Beta Bailey. "Oh, I saw Alpha Kai running and thought I would check on him. I was trying to be a good girl, you know," Kim says, smiling and looking guilty as hell.

Kim begins to walk away from Beta Bailey and me. She does not wait for any more questions or an interrogation. She has made her point. As Kim walks away, Beta Bailey is looking at me, disgusted.

"If you were not my Alpha, I would kick your ass, but right now, I am more concerned about Alaska. You know the wolf you are supposed to marry. I guess you ran out in the woods to fuck one of the she-wolves. You have not changed one damn bit, Alpha Kai. I am through with you and this pack. As soon as Alaska is better, I am out of here," Beta Bailey says.

Beta Bailey begins to run toward the packhouse. I follow her. By the end of the day, either Kim or Beta Bailey will tell Alaska. It would be better if I was honest and told her myself. I have to tell Alaska tonight what I did and let her tell me it is over. I know she will be done with me and our relationship, but I want to be the one to tell her everything.

Beta Bailey is waiting for me at the pack house. Kim is sitting on the porch talking to some other she-wolves. Kim has a smile on her face and looks like she won first prize at a county fair. I shake my head and try to ignore her. Beta Bailey seems pissed off, and she should be pissed at me and at Kim.

"First, that whore needs to go," Beta Bailey says to me.

"Kim, go home now!" I growl.

Kim comes off the porch slowly. She walks past me and puts her hand on me. "I will see you soon, Alpha Kai," Kim says. She leaves with a few other she-wolves.

Beta Bailey opens her mouth, but I stop her before she has a chance. "I am going to tell Alaska what I did and beg her to forgive me. Let me do it," I say.

Beta Bailey steps back. Maybe she was not expecting me, to be honest. She almost looks proud that I am taking responsibility for what I did. "You need to go in and see about Alaska. I will handle Kim and those other whores of yours, but never again, Alpha Kai. I will never handle this kind of shit for you again. You make this right," Beta Bailey says.

Beta Bailey takes off after Kim and the she-wolves. I climb the steps and go inside the pack house to see what is going on with Alaska. When I open the door, everyone looks happy, not worried. What the hell is going on?

"Congratulations, Alpha," Henry comes up to me and says.

Another wolf and she-wolves are coming up to me, shaking my hand, smiling, and saying congratulations. What the hell? I step into the back of the house in Alaska and my room. She is lying down.

"I will give the two of you a few minutes," Doctor James says.

"What does everyone know that I do not know?" I ask Alaska.

I walk over to Alaska and sit down on the side of the bed. "You are going to be a daddy wolf," Alaska says.

"What?" I ask her. I am shocked. Is this something I want? I know I want to be with her, and yes, I want a family with her, but when I tell her what I did, she will leave me. I cannot tell her right now. I have to make sure no one else tells her, either.

"I said I am pregnant, Alpha Kai. I fainted again after you left. Doctor James did a pregnancy test, and it was positive," Alaska says. Her smile lights up the room. I pull her close to me and hold her. As I hold her tightly, I realize just how much I did fuck up. I cannot let her go.

I will banish Kim and her whore friends from the pack before I allow anyone to come between Alaska and my happiness. If Beta Bailey tries to interfere, she will be gone too.

The door opens, and Doctor James comes back into the room. "I am moving Finn to the pack hospital for round-the-clock care. Alaska is having some issues and does not need that stress. I do not want her out of this bed for a few days," he says.

"I agree; that is for the best," I say.

Alaska looks upset. "Promise me that you will keep an eye on him," Alaska begs me.

I kiss her forehead. "I promise you that Finn will get the best care, but you have to promise me to take care of you and our baby," I demand.

"It is just as a precaution. You went through a lot with the Larringer wolves, and we need to ensure you and your baby are healthy. Tomorrow we will do an ultrasound to figure out how far along you are and make a plan for you and the baby," Doctor James says.

Doctor James leaves to take care of Finn. I hold Alaska close to me. I cannot lose her.
