Inexplicable Emotions

Laura felt tears streaming down her eyes. She wiped it and stared at her fingers.

"Laura… why are you crying?" Jessica's sudden voice carried a shiver to her hands.

"No… I am not…" Laura gazed at the tears that were in her fingers.

"Laura… still I can see tears in your eyes… What happened?" Jessica panicked.

"I don't know Jes…" she yelled in irritation. she again wiped out her tears. Laura stood up from the dinner table and walked away.

"Is Grey okay?" Jessica's words made Laura halt her steps.

"What do you mean Jes?" Laura gritted her teeth.

"Actually… Laura… there are more things you should know about this locket… from now on Grey's emotions will be reflected in you too. When he feels the pain you too can feel it. I think… That's why you… " Jessica muttered under her breath, dragging her words. Laura went speechless.

"Yes… As I said you two are bound to each other… No one can change your Destiny." Jessica mumbled, lowering her head.

"Bullshit…Go to hell Ms Jessica Simpson along with your illogical findings." Yelling at Jessica Laura dashed to her room and closed the door with a loud bang. Jessica backed her steps unknowingly.

Meanwhile, Laura who squatted to her bed felt uneasy. Tears scrambled from her eyes again. She tried to control it but couldn't. The pain increased more than she could bear.

"Damn it…" she whacked her forehead in frustration. Soon she opened the window and pounced downstairs.

As Laura dashed into the darkness Jessica came out of her balcony door.

"Laura… I told you… but you are stubbornly shutting down your heart. Yet… look… where you are… Love can make anyone go insane." Jessica whispered and reminisced about her past life. Jessica gazed at the ring on her finger. Immediately tears gushed out of her eyes.

"Rio Grande… I still miss you." Jessica creased the ring and whispered.

Jessica Simpson was a bold and fierce girl until she came across the Rio Grande while she went hunting. His pleasant smile and cheerful appearance earned her attention. Slowly her fierceness ran off and she fell in love with him. She aspired to be his. But suddenly one day he went missing leaving her alone. Later she searched for him everywhere but couldn't find him. Not even his trace.

But she never left her hope. She went to search for him again. As she came back without any news she suddenly encountered Ralf's vicious plan. As a result, she was forced into the human world. The long two-year search was over without any positive news when Ralf attacked the kingdom.

Laura had a strong reason to go back likewise Jessica too had. She needed to find Rio and ask him why he left her. But thinking of Laura's future Jessica couldn't think of going back. Yet she knew about her stubborn sister. Elizabeth never backed out from her decision. She will make Ralph regret it. For that, she will call Laura back.

But Jessica wished for another thing. Laura living happily with Grey was what she wished for. But she knew that it was impossible. Both will encounter a heartbreaking destiny. A cruel play of destiny for them.

Laura gazed at the massive mansion. She couldn't find the reason why she was there at midnight. Her nervousness increased and her heart thumped violently. She turned to go away but she couldn't step back. Something pulled her to walk ahead. As reached the garden area she gazed upstairs. Noticing the lights on she decided to check out there.

Laura stretched her hands and pounced slightly. As she gazed up she began to lift. Soon she touched down on the balcony. She prepared to walk ahead but stopped.

'No… Laura… don't take risks…' she reminded herself. Then she closed her eyes and cast a spell. Suddenly a white ray passed through her body. She gazed at the long glass window of the balcony. Being satisfied with her concealed appearance she walked through the glass which didn't even concede by her entry.

The bed was unoccupied. She gazed through the whole room. Her eyes caught a bleak sight. Immediately she strolled towards Grey who was laying on the floor hugging his knees. The dried tears were pronounced on his cheeks. A lot of wine bottles surrounded him. The sight made Laura's heart twinge with a strange feeling.

Unknowingly she cracked the spell and walked to him. It was evident he was drunk. Her curiosity increased. She kneeled on her knees and held his palm. She felt cold. Closing her eyes she saw the real him. The one whom he was hiding from the world. Unknowingly tears rolled out from her eyes. A five-year-old boy standing frightened witnessing his mother killed by his Dad made her heart filled with miserable sensations.

Laura traced her fingers through his silky smooth hair. Nevertheless, he was a handsome jerk. Unknowingly her lips formed into a light smile. She stood on her feet and pointed her index finger towards Grey. Immediately a blue tint gleam seeped towards Grey. Grey wafted in the air as she moved her fingers. Her finger stopped at the bed. Soon enough Grey's back hit on the soft mattress. Grey who was unconscious the entire time opened his eyes but soon he curled up into a ball and slept. Laura chuckled, noticing his behaviour. She felt like watching a kid. She moved to him and covered him with a blanket. Unknowingly Grey tightened up his hold on the blanket and secured himself in it. She smiled and sat on the bed watching him the whole night.

At dawn,

"LAURAAAA…"

Laura was startled when a scream echoed throughout the room. She was stunned as she noticed Grey's intense stare at her. Her pendant instantly began to shine. Grey looked at her neck, and inexplicable emotions filled his eyes. Laura swallowed, noticing him.

"Laura, you are here!!!" Grey's light whisper, but excited voice jolted her out of her stupor. She became terrified when she noticed him approaching her.
