Xavier's Confession

"Grey… am I dreaming? Am I seeing the great Ms Laura Knight smiling?" Xavier's voice made Laura get relaxed from her shocked state. Laura saw Xavier who was looking at her in shock. She averted her gaze to Grey who was staring at her neck. She noticed that her pendant was shining in blue. She hurriedly clutched the pendant in her hand. Suddenly Grey raced his car forward in outrage.

"Hey man… What the hell? Let me talk to my friend." Screamed Xavier. Immediately Grey applied a sudden break. Xavier who was shocked by Grey's sudden action gazed at him perplexed.

"Go to your friend then." Grey pushed Xavier out of his car and raced towards the busy road.

Noticing Xavier who fell on the lawn Stella ran towards Xavier in panic.

"Are you okay?" She held Xavier who was lying on the floor in shock. But soon he faked pain.

"Ahh… Stella… my leg" Xavier cried in pain holding his leg. Stella worriedly held his leg. But soon Xavier let out another cry.

"Sorry… I…" murmuring she gazed at his foot in a panicked state. Xavier smirked, noticing her worried expression.

"Don't worry… I will help you." Saying Stella helped him to stand on his feet.

"Are you alright? Is the pain still there." Stella enquired.

"Yes… it's painful…" Xavier again faked pain.

Meanwhile, Laura who was shocked by Grey's behaviour felt immense pain. She felt his hostility towards her. His eyes emitted bitterness. As tears streamed down from her eyes Laura rushed to her car. Soon she drove leaving Stella and Xavier stunned.

"What happened to them?" Xavier exclaimed.

"Love" Stella gazed at Laura's car with a smile.

"What!!!" Yelled Xavier in shock. Immediately Stella closed her mouth.

"Repeat what you said…" Xavier forgot the fake pain in his leg and stood straight. Stella eyed him from head to toe. Immediately she clenched her fist in anger. Unfortunately, Xavier couldn't comprehend her look.

"Stella… why are you glaring at me?" Xavier frowned. Stella again eyed Xavier from head to toe. That was when Xavier realized what she meant. Immediately he squatted a little towards Stella faking the pain. But Stella moved away from her place. Though his steps stumbled Xavier balanced himself without falling.

"Stella… I…" Xavier lowered his head in shame.

"No need for an explanation sir. Well… good night." Stella glared and immediately walked towards her apartment. Xavier gazed at her back helplessly.

Laura felt tears streaming out from her eyes nonstop. She hit the steering wheel in frustration. Grey's gaze pierced her heart. He gazed at her as if he hated her. His eyes which showered love were now replaced with hatred. She wiped out her tears. She stepped out of her car and walked to her apartment. Entering her room she dropped into the bed.

"I am not going to disturb him anymore. As Jess said let him be happy," she mumbled and hid her face under the pillow.

The next day Laura went to the cafe as soon as she woke up. She started to divert her mind by involving in her work. The whole day went busy for her as Stella was absent. At night she locked the cafe and walked to her car. Immediately a car stopped in front of her. The window rolled down and Xavier's wide smile greeted Laura. Laura was shocked to notice Stella and Xavier together. Glaring at Xavier Stella stepped out of the passenger seat.

"Laura…" Stella held Laura's hand.

"Stella… why are you here?" Laura couldn't keep her anxiety from seeing them together. How come they were together?

"Laura… sorry… yesterday we were not able to talk. So I thought to meet you." Stella said. Immediately Laura smiled.

"It's okay Stella. I just… felt like seeing you." Laura held Stella's elbow. Stella was surprised by Laura's behaviour. Laura was not behaving as roughly as earlier.

"Hey girls… get in soon," Xavier yelled impatiently. Laura blinked at Xavier meanwhile Stella glared at him.

"Laura… come with us… let's have a meal." Stella hesitated as she was sure that Laura would reject them. Laura, who she knew never accepted anyone to be her friend.

Laura who heard Stella was shocked. It was the first time Stella asked her something. She too wished to go out with friends but as that one day she had to leave them and go back, she stopped herself from being involved with humans.

"Hey… Laura… come… let's have fun." Xavier screamed in excitement.

"Will you shut up for a while?" Stella lost her patience noticing Xavier's nagging. Immediately Xavier zipped his lips. Laura watched them in surprise.

"Laura… if you don't want to, I am not compelling you." Stella smiled.

"I am coming with you." Immediately Laura agreed with a wide smile. Both Xavier and Stella were shocked. Laura could see the surprise on their faces. She just needed to spend some time with them. The two were always close to her heart even though she acted rudely.

"Then what are you waiting for… get in girls…"Xavier shouted in excitement.

"Xavier… look here. You have to maintain silence. I just agreed to include you in our plan. Don't make me regret it." Stella glared at Xavier. Immediately Xavier indicated silence and zipped his lips. Laura chuckled, noticing Xavier's action.

"Laura… come… let's go." Stella pulled Laura to the car. Soon they occupied the back seat of the car.

"Ohh my God. I just became a driver for them." Murmured Xavier rolling his eyes noting the girls in the back seat. Immediately Laura suppressed her laugh hearing his hushed words.

"Did you say something?" Stella asked, noticing his murmuring.

"Nothing dear… I didn't even open my mouth." Immediately Xavier revealed an innocent look.

"That's good," murmured Stella. Soon Xavier started the engine and drove to a high-end bar.

Gulping his wine Xavier started to laugh hard. Laura and Stella gazed at each other in confusion noticing him.

"Sir… may I know why are you laughing now?" Stella slammed into the table hard.

"Ha… ha… I can't believe that I am drinking with the most beautiful woman in this world." Xavier said, stopping his laugh.

"And may I know who that is?" Stella took the fork in her hand and glared at him.

"Hey… lady… don't misunderstand my words. I didn't mean you. I meant Laura." Immediately Xavier denied it. Laura who heard him started to laugh. Stella frowned, noticing Laura laughing at her.

"Laura… you are so bad." Stella walked out of the cabin in anger.

"Hey… Stella…" Laura tried to stop her. But Xavier held Laura's hand and placed his head on her shoulder. Laura was stunned by his actions.

"Ohh my dear friend… tell me… will she accept my feelings?" Xavier asked dramatically, gazing at the door.

"Xavier… you are drunk." Laura tried to make him sit straight. But he forcefully sat near her hugging her arms like a kid.

"Laura… I love her a lot. I know she likes me too. But because of a little misunderstanding, she is still seeing me as her enemy. Do you know the last four years were hell for me and Dad. He became ill because of guilt. He still believes he was the reason for all that happened. But… Laura… it was not him…" Xavier stopped to breathe. Laura creased his hand.

"It's that bastard uncle of hers who killed her father and he blamed my Dad. We are innocent. But Stella and her Mom are not believing us. Laura… still my Dad is waiting for them to give what belongs to them." Xavier's eyes filled with tears.

"Xavi… don't be upset. She will realize the truth soon." Laura creased his cheek.

"Are you sure?" Xavier gazed at Laura in hope. Laura nodded her head positively.

Immediately Xavier started to laugh happily and placed a kiss on Laura's cheek.
