Unexpected Kiss

"No, it was blue. How it became white now..." Grey's thoughts ran wild.

"Hey… Grey… drink less…" Xavier patted his shoulder and immersed himself in conversation with Jessica. On the other hand, Laura felt relieved upon grasping Jessica's power, yet Grey's gaze made her uncomfortable. She excused herself and moved to her room. Grey stared at her back without even blinking his eyes.

Laura bit her nails as she wandered around her room. She never thought that Grey would be able to see the blue rays. Even Jessica was surprised to hear Grey.

"Laura" Stella knocked on the door. Opening the door, she saw Stella, who was smiling at her.

"Laura… I am going… see you tomorrow." Stella said.

"Wait…"I will drop you off," Laura took her car key and moved to the living area. She saw Grey and Xavier, who was talking with Jessica.

"Jess… I will be back after dropping Stella off," Laura informed Jessica and walked out.

"Don't mind her… She is a bit aggressive. Sorry…" Jessica apologised to Grey and Xavier.

"It's okay, Jes... Don't I know her? She is stubborn. don't worry…" Xavier consoled Jessica.

"She was a lighthearted girl in her childhood, but after her parents left her, she became arrogant. She is alive to fulfil the promise that she made to her mother. I wish she could forget everything and enjoy her life like others." Jessica's eyes filled with tears. Grey felt a deep pain hearing about Laura.

"Jess, don't be emotional. She will be okay soon." Xavier hugged Jessica. Soon, Grey, Xavier, and Stella walked out.

As they entered the elevator, Stella tripped and fell to the floor. Immediately, Xavier helped her and peered at her swollen feet.

"I am okay…" Stella tried to stand on her feet by pushing Xavier away. But she again stumbled. Immediately, Xavier scooped her into his arms. Despite Stella's protest, Xavier yelled at her and carried her. Grey smiled, noticing them. The elevator reached downstairs, and Xavier immediately carried Stella to his car.

"Grey. You..." Xavier inquired as he secured Stella in the seat.

"I am okay Xavier… "You can leave." Grey dabbed Xavier's shoulder with a smile. Soon, Xavier drove into the city centre.

Meanwhile, Laura, who arrived steering her car out of the garage, was surprised to see Grey, who was waiting for her.

"Stella?" she asked, rolling out the car window.

"She left with Xavier," Grey said and immediately entered the passenger seat. Laura, who didn't expect his action, was shocked. She glanced at him in surprise.

"Don't give me that look. Your friend abandoned me and went away with your other friend. So now, you should be responsible for dropping me off." Grey said, settling himself in the seat.

"He is not my friend." Laura gritted her teeth.

"That's your issue. I am not a person to interfere with it. But you are the one who is responsible for me now." Said Grey.

"How!!" Laura raised her eyebrows.

"I came to attend a party organised by you. So you should look after the guest's security too. It's your responsibility to make sure that your guest reaches home safely. " Grey's words made Laura curse Jessica.

Suddenly, Laura ignited the engine and drove. Grey was shocked, noticing her speed. It was clear that she was taking out her frustration indirectly. The road was empty as it was already midnight.

"Laura, slow down." Warned Grey. Yet Laura raised the accelerator, as she needed to get rid of him as soon as possible. Noticing her stubbornness, Grey's anger rose even more.

"Laura… stop it!!" yelled Grey, which made Laura apply for a break. As soon as the car stopped, Grey clenched her hand tightly.

"What's your problem, Laura? What if you get hurt?" Grey shouted at her. Laura stared at his eyes, which indicated anger and concern. His anxious state filled her heart with unexplained emotions. Unknowingly, tears scrambled into her eyes. Noticing her tears, he pulled her to him. He made her comfortable on his lap. Laura was astonished by his behaviour. She started to protest, but he forced her to sit on his lap. She tried to use her powers, but it didn't work. She seemed weak in front of him.

"This is not you, Laura. You are just acting stubborn. Inside here, you are yearning for freedom from your commitments. Don't you?" Grey pointed to her heart. Laura stopped her struggle and gazed at his eyes. She tried to deny his words, but nothing came out of her throat. Because he was right…Grey gazed at her pendant, which was shining in blue.

"Isn't this an icy clear pendant, but why does it look blue to me?" Grey creased the pendant. Instantly, invisible white rays started to revolve around them. And the rain began to sprinkle on the car top. Laura gulped, noticing the change in the environment.

"Laura… you and this pendant haunted me in my dreams many times, but in those dreams, it was an icy clear, not blue." Grey stared into her eyes. Laura was surprised to hear him.

"Laura… " Grey cupped her face in his hands. Immediately, his heart filled with contentment. He creased her cheeks using his thumb. Laura ogled at his shining eyes. Suddenly, he lowered his head and nibbled her lips. Laura widened her eyes as his lips brushed hers.

Grey opened his eyes to see her reaction, and noticing that she was not resisting him, he grabbed her waist and deepened the kiss. Soon, Laura started to react by kissing him back. The rain started to pour heavily. Laura hit the button of the seat. The seat lowered, making them more comfortable, and she started to enjoy his scent on her. Suddenly Grey swerved and positioned her on the seat. He started to shower kisses on her neck.

Grey whispered "I love you, Laura" in her ears and showered wet kisses on her neck.
