Seeped her soul out

Stella walked through the streets as tears streamed down. Suddenly her phone started to ring.

"Stella… Baby… " her mom's voice penetrated her ears.

"Mom…" she wiped her tears and cleared her voice.

"It's been a long time since you came to meet me. Just visit mom when you are free." Her mom's weak voice made her panic.

"Mom… Are you fine?" She asked in anxiety.

"I am fine Stella." Said her mom and hung up the call. Stella, who felt that call was disconnected, walked hurriedly towards the street and hailed a taxi. She took her phone and typed a message to Xavier that she was on leave for a few days.

Stella was sure that Xavier would look for her but she didn't want to face him. So she found that it was the perfect time to be distant from him. She doesn't want him to feel guilty. It was her wish to be his. She thought she shouldn't disturb him by claiming to take responsibility. So she decided to hide what happened between them. As Xavier was drunk she was not sure that he would remember the event. So she thought about being with her mom for a few days. Stella hired a bus after packing the necessary things and moved to her hometown.

Meanwhile, Xavier woke up and had vague memories of the last night. But seeing himself alone and with no trace of anyone he brushed up his thoughts. Suddenly his phone started ringing and the call conveyed that his father was in critical condition. Soon he hurried to take a bath and proceeded to the hospital. That was when he saw the message from Stella. Thinking that he would call her later Xavier got busy with his Dad's treatment.

For the next few days, Xavier was busy with Mr Davis's surgery. And he completely forgot about Stella. Moreover, the work at the company was taken care of by his assistant.

Meanwhile, Stella was back after a week to work. She got busy with work as Xavier was not present. The next day Xavier arrived at the company as he had to attend a meeting. Stella began to panic knowing his arrival. As Xavier arrived he directly headed to the conference room. By afternoon Xavier entered his cabin and stretched his muscles.

"Stella… bring me a coffee…" ordered Xavier through his intercom.

Soon Stella arrived with coffee in her hand. She placed the coffee and gazed at Xavier who was sitting on his chair leaning on the headrest with closed eyes. Suddenly tears filled her eyes. She turned and walked away. But…

"Stella…" Xavier's words made Stella halt her step. She gulped her tears and turned to face him.

"Sir" her voice shivered.

"When did you leave that day?" A sudden question from Xavier made Stella widen her eyes.

As Xavier opened his eyes soon Stella calmed herself.

"Sir… that day I went after dropping you at the entrance of your building. Don't you remember that?" She asked him.

"Is it?" Xavier murmured. Stella panicked, noticing his doubtful look.

"Sorry, sir… I know I made a mistake by not sending you home. At least I should have sent you to your doorstep. That day when I received an urgent call from my mom. I was forced to go. Sorry." Stella explained as he shouldn't ask further questions.

"Ahh… okay…" Xavier nodded his head.

"You may go…" he mumbled, opening the file in front of him. Immediately Stella walked out.

As Stella walked out Xavier gazed at her back as he closed the file.

"Why do I feel like something is missing in what she said?" Murmured Xavier and touched his lips.

"Why do I feel like I kissed her?" Xavier mumbled to himself. He cursed himself for being drunk that night. He couldn't remember anything after drinking with Laura and Stella. He was sure that even if he misbehaved with her she would have killed him. But noticing her behaviour he was forced to wipe out those thoughts.

"Pervert" cursing himself Xavier plunged back to his files. After an hour his assistant appeared informing him about a meeting in the Flexi group. So he along with Stella and his assistant proceeded to the meeting.
