The Wild beast

John struggled for breath and shivered his fingers. Soon he stopped his struggle. Amelia who watched the bloody scene fell on the floor unconscious. The guest's scared to notice the scene in front of them.

"John…" Mrs. John ran to John in shock. But hearing a voice she stopped her steps.

"Look there…" a man from the crowd pointed upstairs. Everyone gasped, noticing David standing with a gun in his hand.

"How could he kill his brother?" Another man from the crowd mumbled. Soon the party hall filled with hushed whispers. Mrs. John who noticed David upstairs was shocked but soon she started to cry hard.

"Why David? Why did you do this?" She shouted in between her cries.

"Sister-in-law… I am innocent. I didn't do it." David said in surprise. Mrs. John glared at David and later she gazed at her husband who was lying lifeless. She bent down and creased John's hair.

"Honey… I know that you planned my death like this. But I never wished you would experience it." Mrs. John held John's hand and cried hard.

"Let me call the police… let's get him arrested for this cruelty." A man from the crowd shouted and immediately called the police.

Meanwhile, Grey, who came out of shock, looked for Laura.

"Are you looking for me?" Laura whispered in his ears. He gazed at Laura who was standing behind him. Noticing she was fine he let out a relieved breath.

"How was the show? Did you enjoy it?" Laura mumbled in his ears.

"Did you?" Grey widened his eyes in shock. Laura nodded her head in return.

Soon the police approached and arrested David for murdering his brother. David shouted at the police that he didn't commit it but the guests favored what they saw. As the police took David out the guests too left the hall one by one as the formalities were completed.

"Grey… let's go…" Laura held his hand and came out of the party hall.

"Sir… are you fine?" Enquired Luka as soon as he spotted Grey and Laura out.

"Luka… we are fine. Let's go back." Grey walked towards the car. But… Laura stopped him.

"Grey… let's go for a walk." Laura stared into his eyes.

"Sure…" Grey held her hand and walked ahead. But Laura stopped her steps. Grey frowned.

"Ask your guards not to follow us," Laura mumbled gazing at Luka who was walking behind them.

"Mam… I won't disturb you. I will keep a distance." Immediately Luka stepped back.

"Grey… do you trust me?" Laura peeked at Grey. Immediately Grey let out a chuckle.

"Laura... I am sure that I will be safe in your hands." Grey held Laura's hand and walked ahead.

"Don't follow us" Grey ordered, noticing Luka was still at their back. Immediately Luka halted his step. As Grey and Laura walked ahead through the streets suddenly Laura chuckled.

"What is it?" Grey asked.

"Your assistant is so cute," Laura mumbled. Immediately Grey pushed her to the nearby wall.

"Miss Knight… don't you know that no man likes it when his girl praises another man in front of him." Grey tightened up his hold on her waist.

"Ahh… Mr. Flexis is a jealous freak." Laura smiled and nodded her head in understanding.

"Hmmm…" Grey hummed and moved away from her.

"Come on Grey. I just said it casually." Laura held his hand and pulled him with her.

"You can trust Luka and Ben" Laura patted his shoulder and walked ahead.

"Don't say you even read their mind." Grey frowned.

"It's just I needed to know about them. If I wish, I will hear their thoughts. If not I won't. It's my wish."Laura said.

"Wait. Then why don't you feel this when Amelia fooled you?" Asked Grey. Immediately Laura stopped her step.

"That…actually. I tried but… I couldn't… At first, I wanted to relax my mind to read others' minds. But by Amelia's words, I couldn't even concentrate on her thoughts." Laura said helplessly.

"Did she hurt you?" Grey cupped her cheeks. Immediately tears streamed out of her eyes.

"Badly… but not her. You hurt me. Why didn't you come to see me? Do you know how I survived those days? When I saw you at Stella's apartment I felt happy but you just drove off in anger. I thought you were furious because of murdering your Dad. I am sorry Grey. I just couldn't control myself seeing you in pain. Sorry…" she started to cry.

"Shhh… don't cry, Laura. I didn't avoid you purposefully. I just need you to confess to me so Jessica told me to hide from you for a few days. But I never thought Amelia would make it too easy." Grey grinned.

"Jessica!!!" Exclaimed Laura. Grey nodded his head.

"It was all her plan," Grey said. Laura clenched her fist in anger.

"Hey… just leave it. Because of Jessica, I got you. I am happy. " Grey kissed her lips.

"Don't you feel scared of me that day?" Laura asked.

"No… I was not scared of you. But suddenly I felt a pain here. " Grey pointed to his heart. Laura gazed at his hand. She held his hand.

"I saw you in pain. That was not fear. Initially, I couldn't understand what was happening around me. But hearing you claiming your authority over me I was happy Laura. I still remember your words." Grey attached his forehead to Laura's.

"And don't feel sorry for that man. I hate him. You did it right." Grey kissed her forehead. Immediately she hugged him.

"Thank you, Grey" she whispered, tightening her hands around his waist.

"Shall we go back? We have some unfinished business. " Grey whispered in her ears. Laura held his hand and kissed his palm.

"Grey… I want to show you something." Laura gazed at his eyes.

"What's it?" Grey frowned. Laura scanned their empty surroundings. As it was midnight the street was empty without any trace of people.

"First we have to get rid of people who are following us," Laura said.

"Who?" Grey scanned but he didn't find any.

"Your cute assistant and bodyguards," Laura smirked. Grey widened his eyes in shock.

"Grey… let's run…" Laura held Grey's hand and dragged him ahead. Soon they crossed a short alley. Meanwhile, Luka and the guards ran behind them but as they neared the short alley both Grey and Laura went missing from their sight.

"Damn it… where did they go?" Luka yelled at the guards. Soon the guards began to search the entire area.

Luka stood in the dark street without knowing what was happening. Suddenly he felt something crawling on his legs. He trembled and lightened the phone flashlight.

"Ahhh…"Noticing rats running around him he cried out loud and started to run back. Laura who saw Luka running holding his life started to laugh hard.

" I told you… he is cute…" Laura muttered coming out of a pillar.

"Mmmm… let's go." Grey held her hand but she pulled him back. She tightened one arm around his waist.

"Are you ready?" Laura gazed at Grey who was staring at her in confusion. Suddenly Grey closed his eyes in fear as Laura pounced into the air.

"Hey… open your eyes," Laura whispered in his ears. Grey who opened his eyes gulped noticing they were in the air.

"Laura… let me down…" Grey mumbled in a low voice.

"Are you scared?" Laura gazed at Grey who was shivering.

"No… I am not…" Grey murmured. Yet Laura could see his feared eyes. Soon she stepped to the top of a building. Grey breathed out in relief and started to take deep breaths.

"Get in" Laura crouched in front of him.

"What!!" Grey exclaimed, noticing she indicated her back.

"Grey… get in… I will take you to a place." She said, But Grey stepped back.

"No… you won't hold my weight." He said. Laura rolled her eyes. Soon she pulled him and secured his hands around her neck. Grey wide his eyes as she stood steady holding him on her back.

"Hold your leg tightly." Laura secured his waist around her.

"Ready… now… enjoy what you are going to see," Laura smirked tilting her head. Grey noticed her stability.

Soon Laura ran through the top of buildings. In fear Grey closed his eyes and clutched Laura tightly. He could feel the cold wind brushing through his face.

"Grey…open your eyes…" Laura murmured. Grey opened his eyes feeling silent around him. He widened his eyes in shock, noticing a dense forest in front of him. He gazed back. The city lights were far away from them. Grey tried to get down but Laura tightened her hold on him.

"No… we have to go inside." She pointed to the dense forest. Grey gulped.

"Laura… let's go back. There will be wild beasts inside the forest. " Grey muttered as he shivered.

"Yes… there is a wild beast and I am taking you to see that beast." Laura smirked and ran into the woods. Within minutes she stepped into the rock.
