The most loyal hound
"Ahh…" cried Laura gazing at the dark sky. Her red eyes scampered with tears. She was not happy with Jessica's findings.
"No… I won't believe that… never will I fall in love with a human… no…" she growled.
She believed that her mother would convene her back to the kingdom and she needed to go back. So this love would only leave her in a more complicated situation. Why did she need to bear the pain? The pain of losing her family was more than she imagined. She can't lose another person in her life like them.
Laura ran through the woods for a long time. At last, when she felt she was alright she moved to the cliff top. Shifted into her human form she sat on a large rock.
"Mom… please… I need to go back… please… don't make me wait for a long…" Tears streamed out from her eyes.
The fear in her grew more after hearing Jessica. Her mother's soul mate was a werewolf so it was fine. But in her case, it was different. Grey was a human. And if she was with Grey would give him more misfortunes. There was a chance for him to get hurt because of her. She doesn't want him to be in her problems.
"Ahh…"Thinking of his staring eyes that gave her goosebumps Laura shook her hair in frustration.
"Laura… don't think about him… just avoid him…" she reminded herself. Soon Laura moved towards her car to distract herself from thinking about Grey.
Meanwhile, at Grey's mansion, the man had fully smitten with Laura's thoughts. He tried hard to get rid of her thoughts but nothing helped him. Twisting and turning the whole night went a sleepless night for Grey. The next morning he woke up with dark circles around his eyes.
Dressed up in a neat suit he gazed at the mirror. He frowned spotting his dark circles. Immediately he wore sunglasses and moved out of the room. As usual, Luka was present to welcome his boss. He stood ten steps away from the door to avoid tragedies. Luka was surprised to see his boss wearing sunglasses. Grey rarely used sunglasses. Understanding Luka's thoughts, Grey immediately started to fire questions at Luka.
"Luka, am I a little kid?" Grey's voice roared like a lion.
"Why are you always standing at the door to pick me up as you are waiting to pick up your kids from school ?"
"Do you want me to see your funny face first thing in the morning?"
"Idiot. Don't you wait downstairs?"
Grey's anger raised even more. Even he shivered in anger.
Luka opened his mouth wide, hearing Grey. For the last five years, he was Grey's assistant and from then on he would stand outside the bedroom waiting for his boss. But never Grey opposed it. But today Luka experienced different behaviour from Grey. Firstly Grey wore sunglasses and next was shouting at him unnecessarily. Something was fishy…
"LUKA… Don't you hear what I asked?" The loud voice brought Luka back from his thoughts. Soon he straightened his back.
"Sir… sorry… I will look into it in future…" he apologized, bending as much as he could. Immediately Grey felt bad for Luka. Grey was not in a good mood and he needed someone to let out his frustration. And poor Luka had to bear his mood swings. Grey walked downstairs.
As footsteps faded away Luka lifted his head and immediately rushed down. Grey frowned as he scanned the living room. He was not able to spot his mother. Every morning she would wait for him to have breakfast. But today she was not there.
"Sir… Madam informed me to tell you that she is going to church…" Luka immediately said.
"Church!!!" Grey was surprised. Daisy never went without informing him. But today she informed Luka and went. Grey walked out of the house without having breakfast. As he approached the car he didn't find Ben.
"Sir… Dad went with Madam. So today I am going to drive you to the office…" Luka opened the door for Grey.
"Why? Didn't she drive herself to church?" Grey's suspicion was raised. Daisy loves to drive and she used to drive wherever she goes out. But by taking Ben with her Grey felt something off. Yet he brushed off his thoughts and settled on the seat. As the car moved away Grey couldn't keep his anxiety. He phoned Daisy's bodyguard Robert.
"Where is mom?" As the phone attended Grey snapped at Robert authoritatively.
"Sir… Madam is in church… " immediately Robert informed him. Grey felt relieved.
"But… Sir…" Robert hesitated to speak more.
"What is it?" The initial relaxation Grey felt thrived into fear.
"Sir… Mr Wilfred came to meet Madam. She is now speaking with him." Informed Robert. Immediately Grey clenched his fist.
"Luka… Drive to church…" he roared which made Luka shiver. Immediately Luka changed his way to the church. Within fifteen minutes they entered the church premises at the same time Grey found Wilfred driving out from there. Immediately he called Robert and ensured Daisy's security.
After 10 minutes Daisy came out of the church followed by Ben. Daisy halted her steps noticing Grey who was standing leaning towards the car. Daisy gulped and searched for Wilfred. But she didn't spot Wilfred. With a light smile hiding her nervousness Daisy walked to Grey.
"Son… you are here?" Daisy asked exuberantly and again scanned their surroundings. Grey smirked inwardly at Daisy's nervousness yet he smiled at her.
"Mom… who are you looking for?" Grey raised her eyebrows.
"Nothing… I was looking for the vicar. I saw him when I went inside. " Daisy immediately reasoned, which brought a smile to Grey's lips.
"Maybe he was busy Mom… come let's go home…" Grey opened the door of the car.
"But…Don't you want to go to the office?" Enquired Daisy.
"Yes… I will… But after dropping you… you are my everything Mom so my first preference is you mom then comes the other things… Come let's go…" Grey stressed every word. Daisy gripped her scarf nervously. Yet she soon entered and the car drove back to the mansion.
As Grey reached his office immediately he summoned Ben. Ben along with Luka stood nervously in front of Grey.
"Speak up…" Grey muttered after a long silence. Luka glanced at his Dad who was ready to spit everything out.
"Mr Wilfred came to meet Madam…" Ben mumbled plainly. Grey smirked.
"Mr Benjamin Franklin… just spit out what I have to know…" Grey's voice sounded cold. Ben wiped his sweat.
"But… Madam… I promised her not to tell you anything… but…" Ben whispered under his breath.
"But?" Grey raised his eyebrows interestingly.
"But I feel you should know that…" Ben mumbled with a smile lingering on his lips. Immediately Grey laughed out loud.
Luka opened his mouth wide, hearing his Dad but soon he smirked looking at his dad…undoubtedly Mr Benjamin Franklin was 'The most loyal hound' of Mr Grey Flexis.
