Unconscious Laura

Suddenly Laura felt a pain in her heart. She felt vulnerable. Despite her weakness, she kept her palm on his hip. Soon she started to heal him using her power. As his wound healed instantly Laura fell into his chest unconscious.

After a few minutes, Grey woke up. The whole event started to replay in his mind. Tears streamed out from his eyes. He prayed for everything that happened to be a dream. But… Sensing a weight on his chest he gazed at Laura.

Immediately he realized that it was not a dream. Seeing Laura unconscious he placed Laura on the floor and checked her pulse. It seems weak. She looked pale and blue. Grey was frightened. He started to pat her cheeks but Laura didn't respond to him. He scanned his surroundings and noticed the fire hadn't calmed down yet. Soon he averted his eyes from it.

"Laura… wake up…" he patted her cheeks but she didn't respond. suddenly a cold wind blew near him as it hurled a shiver at him. He jerked from his place noticing Jessica's presence.

"You…" Grey gulped, noticing her yellow eyes.

"That's not important, Grey. Now we have to save her. She is losing her energy." Jessica yelled, understanding his thoughts. Grey stared at Jessica in shock.

Jessica gazed at Laura who was blue. Suddenly her eyes locked on Laura's red pendant.

"Why is this now in red?" Jessica wandered. That's when Grey gazed at the locket which was shining in red. Jessica closed her eyes holding the pendant. Grey blinked watching Jessica who was murmuring something. Suddenly Jessica opened her eyes and grinned at Grey.

"Grey… give me your hand." She extended her hand but Grey retrieved back his hand in fear noticing Jessica's yellow eyes. Understanding his thoughts Jessica relaxed and transformed her eyes to normal.

"Don't you want to save Laura?" Jessica asked, staring into his eyes. Immediately Grey nodded his head in return.

"Then give me your hand," Jessica ordered. Immediately Grey placed his hand on Jessica. Jessica raised the pendant and made Grey hold it. Suddenly a yellow ray started to radiate from the pendant.

"Hold it. Only you can save her now." Jessica said. Grey's hold tightened up as Jessica's words hit him. At the same time, Grey sighted the red colour fading away. Slowly she was back to normal making Jessica breathe out in relief.

"Now she will be okay… don't worry." Jessica patted Grey's shoulder. Grey gazed at Jessica in fear. Comprehending his thoughts Jessica gazed at Laura.

"Grey… we are humans. We are different." Jessica announced.

"What do you mean?" Asked Grey.

"That… Laura will explain to you." Jessica mumbled.

"We won't harm you. Don't be scared. If you feel scared of her then it will hurt Laura. She loves you so much." Jessica smiled at Grey. Grey sat senselessly hearing Jessica.

"Don't you hear her confession? I think a while ago she declared her authority on you. That's Laura. She declared that she is yours." Jessica chuckled. Immediately Grey remembered her words. But he doesn't know whether he should feel happy or sad. He never thought she had this side too.

"Grey… don't think much. From now on you don't have to worry about anything. Come… let's take her home." Jessica walked to the car and opened the back seat. Grey gazed at Jessica in bewilderment.

"Are you not coming?" Asked Jessica.

"Laura… she…" Grey pointed to Laura who was still on the floor lying unconscious.

"Are you planning to abandon her in this dense forest? What if some wild creatures attack her?" Jessica gazed in fear at her surroundings. Immediately Grey scooped Laura in his hands and scanned the surroundings in fear. Jessica laughed out loud, noticing his panicked state.

"Well… you still care about her," Jessica said. Grey, who felt awkward, walked towards the car and placed Laura on the seat. Then he secured her in his lap.

"Why is she unconscious?" Grey asked Jessica wavered.

"She is a little bit weak. Grey, you are like half of her soul so if you were hurt it will reflect on her and hurt her too. Moreover, she healed you and used her energies. That's why she is weak. She will be awake soon." Saying Jessica ignited the car engine. Grey stared at Laura as Jessica drove the car to the city.
