Raucous Jessica
Laura opened her eyes and sat on the bed. Noticing she was in her bedroom. She then hurried out.
"Laura… where are you going?" Jessica enquired noticing Laura rushing out.
"Grey…" Laura stopped her steps spotting Jessica who was leaning towards the kitchen door.
"He went back home," Jessica said casually and started to clean the dishes. Laura stood still for a few minutes. But then she readied to go out.
"Laura… where are you going?" Jessica frowned, sensing Laura's movement.
"Jess… I will be back." Laura mumbled.
"You are going to meet Grey right? Don't go." Jessica warned in an authoritative tone. Laura was shocked to hear Jessica being harsh to her. It was the first time Jessica stopped her from doing something.
"Jess… I will be back soon. Let me see him once." Laura said and tried to move out. But suddenly the main door locked. Laura gazed at Jessica in disbelief.
"Laura… never I stopped you. But… This is my order. Don't meet him." Jessica's eyes twinkled in yellow. Laura could sense Jessica's hostility.
"Jess… what happened to you?" Laura walked to Jessica and held her hand.
"Laura… you promised your mother that you will go back. And you decided to go back. Then why are you giving hope to Grey? Let him live happily. " Jessica yelled at Laura pushing her hand away. Laura lowered her head and gazed at her hands. Suddenly tears streamed out of her eyes.
"I already spoke about us to him. So he won't disturb you anymore. And the same goes for you." Jessica's words made Laura gaze at her in shock.
"Did he agree not to meet me?" Laura asked as tears streamed down her eyes.
"Laura… you should accept the truth. We are not humans. We should go from here one day." Jessica mumbled helplessly.
"And… you don't love him, right? Then what's the issue? Just leave that topic." Jessica said and got immersed in her work.
Laura, who heard Jessica, walked back to her room. She held her pendant tightly.
"Damn… why is it hurting a lot?" She clutched the pendant tightly.
"Don't I love him? I love him… I can't be without him. If something happened to him I can't live. " Laura mumbled, closing her eyes. Jessica sighed hearing Laura's crying.
Next few days Laura locked herself in the room. She was trying to erase Grey's memories. But unfortunately, it thumped her harder every second. She thought Grey would approach her. But he never contacted her or came to meet her. Meanwhile, Jessica, who was annoyed by Laura's behaviour, lost her last bit of patience.
"Laura… open the door…" Jessica banged the closed door. But Laura wasn't intended to open the door. Without any choice left Jessica was forced to use her powers to open the door. As the door opened Jessica found Laura who was lying on the bed. She walked to Laura. Laura's silky long hair blocked her view to see Laura's face. Jessica patted Laura's shoulder to wake her up. Suddenly Laura lifted and sat on the bed in vigilance. But noticing Jessica Laura left a relieved breath.
"What is it, Jess?" She brushed her hair with her hands.
"What is your plan? Are you planning to stay in this room all day? " Jessica yelled. Laura rolled her eyes hearing Jessica's holler.
"Jess… what's your problem now?". Laura asked irritatedly.
"You should go to the cafe tomorrow. There is a shortage of staff. Be ready to be in the cafe." Ordered Jessica.
"Why? There is enough staff for us, right? How come there is a shortage?" Laura blinked in confusion.
"Stella resigned from her job. She won't work in the cafe anymore." Jessica announced.
"What!!! Why?" Laura screamed. Immediately Jessica let out a sneer.
"Laura… Anyway, we are going to end our business. So she should look for a better job." Jessica smirked and walked out. Laura stood stunned.
"Jess… wait…" Laura ran behind Jessica.
"What do you mean by ending the business?" Laura held Jessica's elbow to stop her.
"We are going back to our world when the right time comes, Laura. So we should stop everything." Jessica said. Laura fell silent hearing her.
"Prepare Laura… we are going to end our business soon. So let's be prepared to go back anytime soon." Jessica said and walked into her room. Laura stood stunned hearing her.
Wasn't she happy about Jessica's preparation? But why was she feeling hurt hearing Jessica? These thoughts earned Laura drive back to Grey's thoughts. Suddenly she missed him. She wiped her thoughts to quell her passion to meet him.
"But why did Stella resign from the job?" Thought Laura. Immediately she dressed up and walked out of her room. Taking her car keys she drove towards Stella's home.
As she crossed Flex empire suddenly she parked the car in front of the gate. She gazed at the huge gate. She then focused her eyes on the watch.
"Maybe he went home" she murmured, noticing the time was already 10 at night. Suddenly the guard at the gate began to knock on her car window. She rolled down the window.
"Madam… you can't park here." Said the guard.
"Sorry…" muttering Laura accelerated her car towards Stella's apartment.
Within twenty minutes she reached Stella's home. But Stella didn't appear even after she chimed the doorbell continuously. She dialled Stella's number but it was switched off. Laura decided to wait for Stella. She sat in the car expecting Stella.
An hour passed by but Stella hadn't reached home yet. Laura decided to go back and come back in the morning. She needed to ensure that Stella was fine.
As Laura ignited her car engine suddenly a white BMW stopped in front of her. She frowned, noticing Stella getting out of the car. The car seemed unfamiliar. Stella walked towards the other side and bowed her head gazing at the person inside. Laura wasn't able to see who it was. Yet she hurried out to Stella.
"Stella…" Laura hurried to Stella in relief.
"Laura…" Stella gazed at Laura in surprise. As Laura neared Stella she held her hand.
"Stella… why don't you come to the cafe today?" Laura asked, holding Stella's hand in her. Stella blinked, noticing Laura's sudden appearance. Laura whom she knows was fierce. Laura never behaved with her in a friendly manner. Laura's sudden change surprised her. Stella gazed at their hands perplexed.
"Stella… What are you dreaming of? Why don't you come to the cafe nowadays? Is there any problem?" Laura asked nonstop worriedly.
"Laura… I got a job. So I thought to go for it." Stella mumbled coming out of a trance. Laura nodded in understanding. Immediately she smiled, tightening her hold on Stella's hand. Stella felt like she was going to die in shock.
"Stella. Where do you work now?" Laura asked her enthusiastically. Instantly Stella gazed towards the car that was still near them. Following her line of sight, Laura too glanced casually at the car. But backed her steps in shock to notice Grey staring at her.
