Chapter 12
Sicily was still rooted to the spot in shock at how quickly it happened. She really didn't expect that she could find a man who was an alien, unexpectedly even though she had been looking for him for the past few days.
Walking closer to the place where the man had been reduced to ashes, Sicily had even forgotten for a moment about the house fire nearby. She examined the ashes but found nothing but an empty spot on the sidewalk.
"This man is really an alien? What exactly has happened? Why did something suddenly strike and he turned into ashes like this?"
Sicily was a little creeped out but to combine this with the horror business was also a little absurd. After all she knew that here there was never any element of horror that entered into people's conversations and thoughts, they were all disbelieving and so was she because she had never directly encountered anything like that either.
"I have to save this evidence so that it can be used as one of the documentation. Who knows, it could be one of my ways to find other things related to aliens."
Sicily took out her cell phone, feeling grateful that she could find the existence of the black mark in her cell phone. She took a few pictures and then put the phone away and looked at the house that had been extinguished by the firefighters.
Stein could see the look of fear on Sicily's face but tried to remain calm. As a student studying and working in space affairs and the like they would indeed encounter things like this and it was nothing new. She just needed to get used to it because as she got deeper into space what she would find would probably be more difficult and terrifying.
"Why did those aliens come here? What is their purpose? There doesn't seem to be anything interesting to look for in this town, isn't their place much more sophisticated and can get a better life? They also don't need to be strangers on planet earth because it's not where they came from, why would they have to tuck themselves away like that?"
Still feeling unreasonable, Sicily tried to calm down and searched several points and corners of the street perhaps someone was already standing there because she also found the alien in one of the corners of the house that was a little quiet. Going home tonight was a bit quiet, probably because the neighbors were busy resting and didn't want to spend too much time outside.
"Never mind, there are no more signs and it seems like these aliens do exist but I can't see them. Maybe they're around me but they're blocked because we're not from the same place. Just now I couldn't see their real form. It's really strange that when I want to look for them, I don't find them, but when I'm idle and have no intention of looking for them, they appear. I don't know how to proceed, if I had the intention to look for those aliens, I would never have found them, right? What's next?"
On the way home, Sicily was still thinking about some things related to the alien she had just found earlier even though she couldn't see it clearly. She was having a hard time or thinking about it but she knew that she had to focus or else it would just be a mess.
Professor John would not accept her saying that she was above women because he had never been one to argue with her. Professor John's salary was very generous but there were risks involved. As a student who has not yet graduated, she can only temporarily follow John's request so that she can easily find a better job later when she graduates.
Although this country did not emphasize work experience when looking for a job, at least it could be a good experience and Sicily wanted to be one of the people who could easily get a good job at the space intelligence agency.
"I have to study this from now on so that there is nothing bad in my work experience record. I should be able to find a good way to locate where the aliens are. I must quickly search for the most accurate tool to detect the aliens' presence because it's important. They won't be able to escape me if they are in this city, let's hope they don't do anything bad to me because I just want to find out about them without any intention of disturbing their lives.
"After all, with those who have come to earth, aren't they deliberately showing themselves so that they can get public attention? They have to know what earthlings are like, everything can go viral depending on what they get."
Sicily sighed and went into the house. Meanwhile, Stein could only remain silent at her words. He also didn't know what the purpose of the aliens coming and filling the earth was. It shouldn't be necessary because they also have a place to live even though some of you might be aliens from different sects.
There are several levels and sections where they live on the planet, actually just like humans on earth. There are those who live in cities, in the suburbs, in the countryside and in remote areas. It's all really structured because they live just like humans here, only different in terms of technology and life.
There was no specific difference but I don't know what the aliens were looking for until they came to the human world. Plus he had met two aliens who were intentionally committing crimes. He didn't know what their intentions were but he certainly wouldn't let them commit crimes continuously and could endanger humans who had nothing to do with them.
"Maybe the ones who abducted my family weren't all humans and just a few evil moons. I can't be short-sighted and think that all humans are evil people like him. It's been a few days here that I haven't found any signs of them committing crimes against aliens even though the aliens here are mostly invisible to the naked eye. I have to find another way to investigate this faster and bring them home."
Watching Sicily walk into the room, Stein decided to go into his own room and close his eyes to connect with Fregest. He had to quickly find information about who the aliens were and what they had come to Earth for.
For a moment he couldn't connect but then a green dot appeared in his head and it let him know that soon their systems would be interlinked.
"Are you having trouble over there contacting me?"
Stein was relieved to be able to hear Fregest's words. Sure, they had prepared quite a lot but who knew if they would get disconnected because of something they didn't know about? That's why now they can only make system calls like this and fortunately can still link up.
"There was no real difficulty because I was helped by one of the good humans. I didn't even know that there were already many aliens here who controlled several points and deliberately disturbed humans. Do you know if they came here? Try to find out where they came from because I didn't find any traces of them at all including identities and profiles."
"What? There are some aliens there?"
"Yes, I'll send you the few sightings my eyes recorded so you can see for yourself how they got here. There are no identities attached to them at all even though I've gotten close, I'm also confused as to where they came from because they're like strangers that I can't find their origin."
"Fine, you can send it to me."
Shortly after, a kind of file that was directly sent through his head system was sent and arrived in front of Fregest. There seemed to be a large screen in front of the man and he was trying to track and clearly see where the aliens came from.
"I can't find any trace of where they are and where they came from because their nature is slightly different. Do you know them? I don't know their traces and identities at all."
"I'll find out, our planet is too vast so I can't just randomly find out where they came from. You didn't find out their identities even though you approached them and could clearly see them up close, that means I will also have a little trouble. But you take it easy, I will soon find information that we can use to further investigate them. Just continue looking for me and if there is anything after contacting me, I have prepared the men you can use to save your family."
Stein agreed and turned off their linking system. He walked towards the bed, sitting quietly with a full mind there as he knew where to look for his parents and family who were captured by the humans. The last time their systems had interlocked at one of the parts or competitors in the advanced technology embedded in their heads and bodies. The system was specifically designed to be a warning sign that they needed help.
When it was checked it turned out that the point of his parents' whereabouts was on the human planet aka planet earth so now Stein came down here alone to look for them but he had been here for several days but did not find his parents' whereabouts clearly.
"Earth is very large and I can't just find them because of course it's not that easy. But since their system is dead there's a big chance that they were abducted, this is the only place where people have admitted that aliens came. No, I haven't seen the whole place so there must still be one or two places left behind. I have to search there and temporarily leave this place. Maybe I can trick Sicily for a while using a fake duplica that can create through my own shadow."
Stein closed his eyes and tried to focus. He could do it because he had already practiced it and even the little kids on their planet could do it. None of this was difficult, he just needed to try harder.
