Chapter 20

"There was no other continuity that I found after that burn mark. I've been going out every day and doing research, watching people pass by and everything but there's nothing to indicate that they're aliens. I don't know how to accomplish this mission you gave me, professor."

Professor John stayed where he was because he knew that it was quite difficult to do. He also found no signs of the aliens just disappearing, plus he didn't know what could be done to speed up the process of finding the few aliens that had been caught on camera.

"Try to leave it alone, they seem to know that they are being searched so they are deliberately hiding. I will prepare some other ways to reach the aliens so that they can enter the trap and be successfully found. I'm sure there's a way and I need to do it quickly before it's too late."

Sicily nodded in understanding and felt a little relieved to be relieved of the responsibility. She could relax a little and calm her brain if it was like this, until she felt better.

Cecilia left John's room feeling better, taking care of her coursework and finishing everything then she could relax today and not think anything about the aliens anymore.

"Hopefully those aliens are gone, back to where they came from and not committing crimes here. Besides, if it's peaceful why should we attack each other? Isn't living in peace a very good thing? I really hope that I can make things return to normal."

The dream of a citizen of Earth was to live in peace. He knew that it was an easy thing to achieve but somehow he couldn't do it. I don't know how long they would live like this, but it was certain that after school they would only work for the rest of their lives to earn money to eat and live.

"Why again? Your face looks haggard."

Sicily sighed, looking at Merry's face who had just asked. "Nothing, I'm just tired."

Merry raised her eyebrows at that answer. She didn't force Sicily to speak, but then she said something.

"Tomorrow night there's an event going on at the town hall, don't you want to come?"

"Event? What event?"

"I don't know, they say there's everything there. Food, book events, vehicle promotions and everything. It must be exciting because it's crowded and there's a lot of activities."

Sicily sighed softly. "After a few years of finally having an event, will something happen again? In the past, there was a big event in the city and then something happened that affected some residents and even killed some. It seems like it's not something good to come to," she said making Merry pause.

"That's right, there was a big event and some people died. Didn't the local government ban the event?"

Sicily sighed and was silent for a moment. "I don't know, I don't think so. If they did, the event would never have been possible. Especially with so many people saying there are aliens in this town, doing the event would only make things worse. I don't want to make things horrible, but what if those aliens make trouble and commit crimes during the event?"

"Right, should we ask them to consider it?"

"I don't know," Sicily replied with a sigh. "Some of us don't believe in aliens either. I'm too lazy to cause trouble, it's better to leave it alone. After all, we don't have much power to make them cancel the event."

Merry nodded slowly and could only remain silent. Meanwhile, Sicily was also silent with a complicated face that could not be read what exactly was in her mind. It's just that, Sicily knew that all of this might just be her thoughts, she also didn't expect the earth to face unusual destruction.

"Let's hope nothing happens."

Meanwhile, Stein had just returned and smiled happily at the identity card in his hand. He managed to obtain the data, using the names of other people who were declared missing and of course he couldn't have done this if it wasn't for getting information about some people who disappeared and died unaccounted for after finding out about past events.

There really was a great disaster here in the past, it was just that he did not know and had not found the cause of why the meteors could fall to earth suddenly and in such large numbers.

"Never mind, Fregest is also investigating it, I will also know soon." Stein sighed softly and closed his eyes.

He would soon find out what could have happened. He knew that nothing on earth could be kept secret, so he would soon find out everything.

"What time is she going home? I can ask her to book a plane ticket and travel out of this city." Stein sighed softly and looked down at the ID card in his hand. "After this hopefully there will be no problems, I really want to do something that can be used as a useful thing. At least this time he knows that I am human. To reveal my true identity I'm also still hesitant. It's not a good thing, especially since she's a student who is looking into aliens."

Stein sighed softly, feeling confident that he would be able to deal with all this but he had to be careful. He would not let Sicily know more about him, it would be bad and a bad cause for their lives.

Soon the sound of the door was heard opening. Stein looked outside to find Sicily walking into the house.

"Just home?"

Sicily nodded slowly and looked at Stein's face. "Have you eaten yet?"

"Not yet," Stein replied with a rather stiff face. "I was out and about, taking care of my identity card and now I've found it. I actually have an identity, I just found out about it now."

Sicily looked at the ID card in Stein's hand. This man seemed to be seriously looking at the ID card, probably to remember what he could remember from it.

"You only know about your identity? Not anything else?"

"Hmm, no. I still don't remember anything else besides that. It feels strange, I don't know..."

Stein seemed to stay where he was, thoroughly enjoying his role of being a man who had lost his memory and looked sad. To which Sicily smiled slightly and shook her head.

"There's nothing to worry about, if you forgot then it could be like this. You just need to enjoy the time first, later the memory will definitely come back. No amnesiac person is easy to recall about his old memories that have already been said. You can recover first, if you don't intend to see a doctor then you just need to wait until when the memory will return."

Stein nodded slowly then looked at Sicily's face in front of him. "You don't mind continuing to shelter me in this house?"

Sicily shook her head and smiled. "No, the important thing is that you're not a bad person. Besides, I feel happy because it's like having a friend. I've lived alone for a long time, no one cares but that's a consequence. Since my parents passed away, I also don't get any attention from people anymore. Even though I don't have any friends, when you're here and staying with me for a while, I'm quite happy. I told you not to feel shy, you can treat this house like your own but keep your boundaries since we are not related."

Stein smiled softly and nodded, for now they did not have a relationship. Stein knew that he couldn't just make Sicily uncomfortable either. This girl had to be comfortable with him first even though it sounded strange, but he knew that today was related to the life he would live in the future.

"I'm going to cook, do you want to eat something to eat?"

Stein got up from his seat, then walked towards the kitchen together with Sicily. "Nothing different, I know your food is always good so you can cook anything for me."

Sicily smiled and nodded slowly, then began to focus on choosing the ingredients that she would soon cook. Last night she did all the shopping so the ingredients in her fridge were starting to fill up, so right now she was feeling quite happy.

Stein just watched the girl, looking pleased that Sicily didn't mind his presence. Right now, he was trying to get what he wanted, Sicily's heart and all in order to get all the things he wanted.

"This lunch is quite simple but it will fill you up," Sicily said, making Stein smile and nod.

He took the food and ate it without saying much, he knew that what Sicily cooked was always delicious and to his liking. Even though he was an alien but it was okay that his taste was good enough to enjoy life like an ordinary human, it allowed him to enjoy his time by enjoying the food cooked by Sicily.

"Since I've taken care of my identity, can you accompany me abroad? I want to go somewhere," Stein said, making Sicily raise an eyebrow.

"Where are you going?"

Stein smiled and stuffed the food into her mouth again. "Countries that are a bit quiet, more rural. For example country M, I want to go there to see something. I feel like there's something I should see there, I don't know if it's related to my family or what but I'm curious and I want to go."

Sicily was silent for a moment and then nodded in understanding. "It might have something to do with your lost memories," she murmured then looked at Stein's nodding face.

"It's possible, I really should do something to fix that."

Sicily smiled softly. "In that case, you want to go to country M? When? We can book the tickets now so we don't run out."
