Bagian 9

Sicily woke up again and did the usual human activities again. She had peeked at the black device she found, until her gaze was distracted when it looked the same.

Neither reacted as usual. The thing that made Sicily refocus on her preparations. She would be leaving for college today, so she had to take a quick shower and cook breakfast. It was likely that this afternoon she would just order food for Stein since she was quite busy the next few days at the college and her office.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes, currently heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Are your assignments and work that Professor John told you about done?"

"Not yet, I still have to ask him a few things. Gosh, studying science and knowledge about space and its surroundings is so complicated. I didn't expect it to end like this, if I had known, I wouldn't have chosen this major."

Sicily chuckled softly and she passed through the front room where there was Stein who remained in his transparent position. He was there intentionally because he wanted to see how Sicily was doing every morning in order to find something strange. He decided to check from inside the house first and then go out so as not to miss anything, because no matter what, there must be a way or thing that makes him find one or two kinds of oddities.

But until he went around the house, there was also no sign that his parents were here. Even in Sicily's room he had entered there was no sign of his parents being there or even his family.

He had a clue, their systems would be connected if they were close to each other but that didn't happen in this house so he was sure there was no one in this house who was related to him.

"Participating in an activity like this is not easy, it may be very exciting for you at first but there's nothing good about learning. But if you can't bear the difficulty of the lessons then you will be a fool forever."

Sicily's voice rang out again making Stein walk behind her. He slightly liked the way the girl cooked, humans on earth still used the same methods as before where they had to cook and prepare the ingredients well and then start using stove fires whether it was an induction stove or from gas conversions.

Although there are indeed a lot of modern buildings that become one of the iconic ones that are quite proud of in the city and in almost the entire earth, but still the earth cannot be said to be left behind. The story of aliens coming to colonize the earth is not entirely true that it will happen like that because the earth also continues to evolve and get a lot of things to renew everything in it.

Sicily was still talking while cooking and Stein did not slowly enter and sat in one of the chairs and it made Sicily who was stirring her food turn her head and smile. Soon the girl turned off the call and walked towards him while carrying two plates of Asian food, namely fried rice.

"I like that you didn't make a sound when I was talking to Merry because she is a very curious friend of mine. I'm afraid she'll misunderstand and say that we're lovers when we're not. So can I ask you something?"

Stein looked at Sicily who immediately opened the conversation, something that made Stein nod and smile, if he was able to do it then he would do it because his original purpose of coming here was not to make Sicily difficult.

"If there are some of my friends who come, can you not come out of your room? Just stay there and don't come out because they could get suspicious and your existence here will be even more difficult. You don't know about your identity yet but it's actually easy to do if you go to the hospital. Do you want to do the treatment? You'll heal faster if you're treated by doctors and people who are experts in this field," Sicily said, making Stein raise his eyebrows.

"Are you sure? I'm a little hesitant because I don't know what she looks like and who I am. I'm afraid there will be bad people who will bother me and get me into trouble. Are you sure you'll still take me to the hospital and if anything happens to me it could involve you?"

Sicily fell silent. She could admit that it was true but she never wanted this to happen. She as the owner of the house had absolutely no idea who this man was and this man had no idea who he was either, he claimed amnesia and that was indeed quite disturbing if indeed their journey was as difficult as they could not imagine in the future.

"Can you keep me here? I can't leave now even if it's a hospital. At least let me stay here and try to recall if any of my memories come back. That way it will be easier for me. I promise I won't do anything out of bounds that you're afraid of because I also have no intention of hurting you at all. To me you are my helper so I won't be able to let all of this become what you are afraid of. So can you not ask me to leave now?"

Sicily was silent for a while and then nodded. "You can do that, you can stay here and maybe we'll cross paths with each other and become friends. But as you said earlier, don't raise questions for some of my friends who will come. I actually have a few friends, they will definitely show some dislike if you are here. They'll ask a lot of questions about our relationship and that's something I can't answer.

"It's true that there are many couples who have lived in the house even before they got married but I have absolutely no intention of giving myself a bad name. So I ask you not to spread anything about me because it won't bring any benefit."

Stein nodded. "Then I promise not to come out when your friends come over because I know that you will protect yourself from people's accusations as well. I'm also actually a bit of an introvert and I don't like people asking me what I don't like. That's why when last night Merry came and asked who I was, I could only keep quiet because it was all too sudden. In the future I will not put you in the same conditions and circumstances because I will try to get a quiet life for you."

Sicily smiled and nodded. They ate their breakfast, after finishing everything Sicily got up and looked at Stein.

"It looks like I'll be home late today so I'll order some food for you so that you can still eat at noon. If anyone knocks on the door only three times it's a courier so he'll knock then go and get the food I ordered on the doorknob."

Stein nodded in understanding after digesting it. "I already remembered that, thank you for caring about me until such a small moment. In the future, if anything happens to you, if possible, just call me. I can come right away."

Sicily raised her eyebrows. "We haven't exchanged contact numbers to contact each other. Do you have a contact number? One where I can get in touch with you?"

Stein was silent for a moment. "I do, give me your cell phone."

Sicily smiled and took out her cell phone and gave it to Stein. The man seemed to stare at the phone screen seriously before looking at Sicily's face for a moment and focusing. He only used his eyes to be able to connect himself to Sicily if anything happened.

With this, he would get Sicily's information and whereabouts through the light of her eyes that he had entered into the cell phone. So, all of this was complete and Sicily would no longer suspect him.

"There," Stein said as he handed over the cell phone. "You can call me anytime because it will connect to me instantly."

Sicily smiled and nodded, before she finally said goodbye once more and walked away from the house. Stein could only watch her without intending to follow as he still had something to do at the moment.
