Chapter 16

Sicily left and that made Stein smile softly. It felt like he was a little calm when she wasn't around, because he could do what he wanted without being questioned even though he could indeed do whatever he wanted without being caught because he had a disguise technique. But he couldn't take Sicily long because he felt that the girl should be kept safe, because he had given her a little antidote and power that could guard Sicily so now he felt calmer.

There will be no aliens who can do anything to her, she has blocked all that power and will not be able to touch Sicily even if they use the strongest lightning. The first address he would look for was Professor John's because that man must have something to do with the search and the aliens he was doing.

He arrived at Professor John's office and immediately found the man there. There was a wallet lying around and that made Stein quickly move to scan what was inside the wallet. There was some money, cards and one of them was an identity card. That made him quickly record what was inside and find a home address.

Stein was still in transparent mode staring at the man, seemingly noticing something from the tablet he was holding and that made Stein move quickly to approach him carefully. He found some photos on the tablet that looked familiar so he moved away and looked at the cell phone on the same table.

All of them were scanned by Stein using his own eyes that could break through and explore the contents inside the phone. There were a few outgoing calls that Stein didn't know who this man was calling because the numbers were a bit unfamiliar and confidential with a language he didn't quite understand. It seemed to be a code and the Professor's business would not be that easy to figure out.

That's why right now he couldn't read the name of who exactly was on the cell phone and who Professor John had just contacted.

"I'll find out later, I'd better put a bug in it and I'll find out all about it."

Using his mind Stein placed an eavesdropping system inside Professor John's cell phone. The man looked seriously at the front of the screen then after that he walked away from the room and decided to go to the street he already knew where Professor John lived.

"Just the address and I should be able to find the place if I can smell and find the same footprints as Professor John. There are many skills you can use so why would I be afraid of not being able to find where he lives?"

Confidently and confidently Stein walked out of each hallway and clashed with several people who also looked hurriedly like they were working and solving something. The science and space labs in this place were luxurious and so advanced, it was just that the transparent system created by Stein was far more advanced than what these humans had.

It seemed that they were so busy taking care of and looking for where the aliens were that they seemed to be very focused and did not realize that they were being watched by Stein even though Stein was currently in a transparent position.

"We don't know what kind of power and ability these aliens have. Plus they are also rumored to have stronger strength than humans and their technology is more sophisticated. There are even some people who say that their thinking ability and intelligence are much higher than humans so it's only natural that they can hide themselves from us.

"In fact, I believe they seem to scan everyone they meet and if it looks like that person has intelligence then they won't show their existence to people. That actually makes a bit of sense if you listen to it, don't they have abilities? There is nothing difficult for them to do because up until now everything still depends on the hiding place and they can't possibly show themselves. I also don't know what they are looking for, it seems like there is something on earth that makes them interested so they come and leave their own planet," said one of the bald-headed Professors.

He was seen carrying a glass tube filled with a chemical liquid that Stein didn't know what it was for and what they were creating.

"Shit, we haven't even gotten how to find them on those planets but they've already set foot here. Don't know what the purpose will be whether it will be good or not but certainly this sounds unbelievable. If all they encountered were stupid people who wouldn't bring them any trouble, then wouldn't that be the same as why they should open up their existence to such people? They would be showing themselves and that could get them into trouble because fools would immediately panic if they saw something that wasn't as it should be."

"Yes and they did panic, that means the aliens discovered by the few people who reported this are intent on destroying the peace and tranquility of the people of Earth. I was contacting my friends overseas and out of town but they did not find any signs of the same. Their lives are very relaxed and quiet, there are no signs of aliens coming to their cities and wreaking destruction like here."

"Here we haven't actually gotten any significant destruction but we don't know what the future holds. I just hope the team executing this can find the aliens' whereabouts soon and send them back home to their home planet."

Stein arrived at the housing estate which was so cool and quiet. He stared at the ground and watched the green footsteps that he had connected with John's usual daily activities.

His gaze continued to focus on the ground and the footprints. He already knew where the man's house was just by looking at the footprints so at this time Stein continued to walk there and entered a house whose gate was tightly locked. He stopped in the front yard, looking at the house with his serious face before smiling sarcastically.

"There's no sign of my parents being here, but why does the house feel so cold like it's been affected by something that makes me not want to enter?" he muttered with a suspicious look. "Professor John, you can't even hide something that makes me feel suspicious. There's something you're doing, isn't there?"

Letting out his breath, Stein sighed softly and still tried to enter the house as he could not stop at the front. He slipped through the smallest gap in the door and looked around when he entered the house.

There was no one inside, it seemed like John didn't have any family living here or if he did they didn't live in the same house. There were some family photos on the front porch and it showed that this guy had one but he probably wasn't from this town either.

Exploring the area of the house that was so cold and there was no sign of life, Stein was curious to the depths, so now he continued to try to find out who was inside and what objects he could use as further clues. Starting from the books, the tools that were there and all the equipment of the house, Stein touched it to find a little clue. But the man named Professor John didn't seem to put down and let even the slightest clue lie there.

"I'm sure there must be signs and other little clues." Stein muttered, for some reason he felt that things could not end here.

It couldn't possibly end here because Stein could find that the man's character was not as simple as he could think. John was a bit cold and mysterious to her and even Sicily could not understand the character of her lecturer and boss at work, suggesting that John actually had one or two things to be suspicious of.

Stein turned his head in the direction of the falling sound and found an object that he saw was already falling apart. His eyebrows raised in surprise, looking at the slightly strange object before he finally picked up a fragment and looked at it with a serious gaze.

"This... Isn't this a gemstone from a space planet? Why is this stone here? This stone is very hard to find, how can it be inside professor John's house? Who gave it to him?"
