Chapter 11

The next day she had to tell Tony she had no news for her. She put the saddest face on.
Around midday, she was found just staring off into space while petting a cat in her lap and was looking around at the shelter like it was the last time she would step in it.

Sabrina fell asleep before Nathan came home. When she woke this morning, she was alone. Dylan and Alyssa were gone, and so was Nathan. She knew he came home. The bathroom was still steamy when she went in.

The guilt was eating at her so she picks up her phone and texted him. "Do you have some time to talk to me today?"-Sent

She sits on some grass letting the dogs sniff her as she waits for his reply.

Ding! Nathan's Cell- I'm sending Elroy to pick you up. I have a few minutes in between my next meeting."

Wow. She was now going to Nathan's office. It dawned on her that she had no idea what she was going to say to him. She ignores her brain telling her to prepare herself and lets Tony know of her plans. Hope appears on her eyes. Now Sabrina just hopes she can do something.

Elroy stated the office is 35 minutes away. She leans back and watches the umpteen amounts of trees and cars. When they pull up its a completely different scenery in the city. Alden Enterprises is a huge skyscraper or at least, it felt like that from where Sabrina stood.

She walks into the lobby with marble floors and glass for walls. Two women sat at the front desk and two men stood in police uniforms beside them.
They were both brunettes and both on the phone.

"Excuse me." Sabrina addresses a brunette on the right.

She holds a finger up and writes something down the person was saying. After a minute, She hangs up the phone. "Yes ma'am, how can I help you?"

"Can you tell me what floor Nathan Alden's office is on?"

"Are you his wife?"

It was in Sabrina's nature to hesitate. "Ah...Yes."

Brunette in the right smiles. She points her hand over her shoulder. "This officer is waiting to escort you upstairs." Then he puts out her hand. "Jennifer, nice to have met you, Mrs. Alden ."

"You too." They shake hands

The officer hits floor 27 and stands like a soldier, silent and serious. She felt like she was in some sort of trouble.
The elevator comes to halt, and she is lead to the left. She passed a ton of cubicles filled with nosy people. Every one of them was breaking their back and necks to get a look at her face.
She couldn't hide the humor on it. They must have heard she was coming. Probably want to know who could lock down the infamous Nathan Alden.

The officer opens the office door.
She enters a large room with two desks across from each other. A man and a woman. Seated at them

The man stands and greets her. "Hi, I'm Anthony, Mrs. Alden. Your husband has been informed of your arrival and is waiting for you."

He leads her through another set of office doors. It was where Nathan was. He was looking out the window and turns when he hears the door.
He was wearing a black suit and had his hands in his pocket. "Thank you, Michael." He glances at the cop who closes the door.
He lets out a long breath of air and sits behind his desk. He was emulating exhaustion.

"Sit sweetheart." He points to the chair in front of his desk.

She sits nervously and decides now of all times to think about what she wanted to say. What did she want him to do exactly?

"Sabrina." He settles his elbows on the desk, and his hand on under his chin. "Sabrina. What's the matter?" His voice low and tired.

She didn't want to waste the little time he had available, so she said the first thing that came to her mind. "The animal shelter." She clears her throat. "Did you make an offer to the bank for it?"

He leans back and watches as she crosses her legs. He couldn't see skin. She wore tight-fitted jeans and tight black and white striped shirt.
He unloosens his tie. "I don't handle it personally. Why?"

She shifts in her seat and crosses her other leg. "I was wondering what you want to do with it?".

"It's the perfect location for a gas station." He answers simply.

She was outraged. He was going to destroy the only shelter within a 100-miles for a gas station. "What? Why?"

He rubs the back of his neck and lets out a frustrated sigh. "It's just business."

She stands up. "But, but, the animals. We'll have to euthanize them."

He looks at her with curiosity and new awareness. "What would you like me to do Sabrina?"

If she wasn't mistaking, a faint smile appears on his lips. She runs her hands down her lose hair and walks over to the side of his desk.
"Withdraw your offer. The bank was happy with her late payments until."

He turns his chair, stands, and approaches her. "Is that all? Head of Alden Enterprise's wife. His tone was soft with a touch of amusement in it.

Her mouth opens and she can hear herself breathing rapidly. His eyes turned soft and caring toward her. He covers her cheek with his palm so lovingly and gentle.
He puts the other one on the other side and pulls her to him. Inhaling deeply he whispers her name "Sabrina." Then leans down intending to take her lips.

*Buzz!* "Mr. Alden, sir." A female voice comes from the intercom on his desk. He jerks back to his desk. He hits a button on the intercom.
"I told you 20 minutes! I wanted no interruptions for 20 God damn minutes!" He barks.

Wanting to ease his tension She puts a hand on his shoulder. "You seem so tense."
He stiffens. "I'm sorry." She pulls her back.

He turns and grabs her wrist with one hand, her hip with the other, and brings his face inches from hers. I didn't expect it."

She gulps and puts her hand on his shoulder again, this time pushing him in the direction of his chair. "Sit." She orders.

He obeys and follows her with his eyes as she moves behind him.
She then puts both hands on his shoulders and massages out knots.
She could tell he was enjoying it. His eyes lids weighed down, and his body sank into the seat.

"Feeling better?" She whispers in his ear.

"Mm-hmm." He moans.

She works his shoulders a little more and then moves her finger through his scalp and onto to his temples.

He tilts his head all the way back to where Sabrina was standing over him and looking directly down at his face. His eyes were closed, and his breathing steady and long.

"That feels good, Sweetheart." He was barely audible.

"Oh Yeah." Sabrina couldn't help her own voice came out like a vixen.

His eyes open and without hesitation, he uses both hands to grab the side of her head pulling her down into an upside kiss. He held her for more than a few seconds before turning in his chair and pulling her.

"Oh." She falls in his lap. There, he cups her jaw and circles her waist. He took complete control of what was happening, encouraging her into a zealous kiss. His tap, caress, and grip was potent, almost punishing. And she could tell he was trying very hard not to grip her tighter.
She never felt so, alive, so incredibly desired. He was extremely fervent in his every touch.

He stretches fingers through her hair and pulls head gently back to look into her eyes.
He watched her pant and the pink color that rose in her cheeks from his kisses. Suddenly he releases and scoops her into his arms. He carries her to the large black sofa in the corner of the office and settles her down. He then stands to take off his jacket.

Her eyes widen, showing her inner panic.

"Relax." He orders before climbing on top of her and keeping both her legs between his.
She gasps when he tilts her head and goes for her neck. He kisses her softly moving up to her jawline and then her chin.
When he takes her mouth again, he doesn't let go.
She wrapped her hands around his neck and starts to unintentionally squirm.
The action seemed to have driven him crazy. He pushes his groin against her growling at the same time.

She gets excited too and sticks her tongue his mouth. What is he doing to her?

He captures it and sucks on it gently. She didn't expect that. It somehow made her feel moist and gooey on the inside. She slithers beneath him unable to control her building desire.

"Fuck Sabrina." He mumbles in her mouth and pushes himself into her, letting her feel how hard he was.

He became completely absorbed. The outside world didn't exist at this moment. That was until...*Buzz!* "Sir, sorry to disturb you. You told me to let you know when Mr. Lee entered the building."

They pull apart, but the trance isn't broken. Their gazes didn't drift from one another. They searched each other's eyes like it was a movie playing in their pupils.

You're beautiful." He suddenly whispers. He leans back down and gives her another kiss, this time, slow and sensual. It was the hardest thing to stop, to let her go, or even move. But he forces himself to separate and helps her stand up. He rubs her upper arms up and down and presses his lips on her forehead.
"I needed that." He exhales and kisses her cheek. "I have a meeting."

She nods. "What about the shelter?"

He wraps his hand around her waist and puts his face in her neck inhaling her scent. "I'll take care of it." He touches a light kiss behind her ear. He gets caught up in her intoxicating presence and trails kisses up to her jaw and then on her delectable lips. He can't help but continue to kiss her until a light knocks sound from the door.

"Nathan, someone's at the door." She turns away.

He glides his hand up to her head, forcing her mouth back to his for one last kiss. Then he pulls her to the door. When he opens it, Anthony is waiting behind it.

"Sorry, sir. Mr. Lee is waiting in the conference room."

Nathan walks past him leading Sabrina to the elevator. When they arrive in front, he stops. He takes her upper arms and clears his throat.
All his employees were watching. So with furrowed brows, he scans around the room making them turn their heads and pretend not to pay attention.
He then brings his focus back on her. "Text me when you get home."

An officer arrived in the elevator that opened on their floor. Nathan tells him to make sure she gets in the limo safely and then kisses her goodbye.
