Chapter 37
UNEDITED..............
"Say it again." He pants while ravishing her delectable mouth.
"I love you." She whimpers.
"Hmm." He moans in complete pleasure then rips himself away from her willing mouth and smiles at her eagerness.
"Patience." He teases.
He rises not letting their lustful eye contact break. Looking down at her already naked body he was rock hard.
She moves off of her back to get to him fervently but is stopped. He gently pushes her down while shaking his head. "Patience."
She screams when he grabs her thighs and pulls her down to the edge of the bed. He then takes both of her ankles, placing a gentle kiss on each one before putting her legs on his shoulder. She thought he was going to enter her, but he slowly stooped down until it was her thighs around his neck.
Her panting became uncontrollable with the anticipation that she was feeling. "Nathan..." She calls just wanting him to do something, anything.
"Patience my love." Amusement filled his eyes. He was enjoying himself.
Slowly he lowers his head and presses a kiss on her center.
”Nathan…” She breathes out.
”Yes… Sweetheart.”
”Please…” she begs.
“Hmmmm….” he hums in satisfaction before sliding his tongue between her thighs.
"You're fucking amazing baby." He continues to pleasure her. Expertly moving his tongue he makes her scream and moan. She claws at his head and shoulders unable to hold back. He loved every moment of it.
After he is satisfied, he stands and wipes his mouth. Her legs fall limp from repeated orgasms.
"You ready baby?" The look he gave her was drugging.
Transfixed, she nods.
He wasted little time lifting her legs again and entering her core. His mouth fell to her lips immediately as he began thrusting into her. He devours her mouth and never lets up. He made her organism a couple more times before releasing himself. Then he pulls her into his arms to rest for the night.
~~~~~~~~
The next morning when he woke, instead of feeling the happiness or contentment of having his wife in his arms, he felt regret.
Regret for losing control, and regret for the future with her he knew he damaged. She said she loved him and it affected him like nothing else.
After all of the fighting and of her not wanting him, she said she loved him. Not knowing how they truly met has knocked down that wall she had between them. She was able to see him as a man and not a monster.
So what does he do? He makes love to her for hours not a word is spoken between them at one point. Enjoying her body her every move and sound. He loved watching lust for him fill her eyes and hearing her moan his name over and over.
Selfish is what he was last night. He couldn't help himself. He didn't even try to reason with himself. He just kept hearing her say "I love you." She loved him he loved her. That's the only reasoning he'd done.
The time was coming very close to when he was going to have to tell her the truth. If her memory comes back without him telling her he might have a worse chance of keeping her.
Sabrina lay snuggled onto his right side. Her leg and arm lay across him. The guilt eating him up he gently removes her body and leaves their bedroom.
When she woke an hour later she dropped her hand on Nathan's side of the bed expecting to find his body but he was gone.
She looks at the clock. 10:05 am. She slowly gets off the bed and takes a quick shower before heading downstairs. She knew where Nathan was. In his office and that's where she was going. Last night was magnificent. She couldn't dream it would be like that. So attentive and generous her husband was. Thinking about it gave her goosebumps. The way he kept whispering sweet things. He took complete control seeming to need it. Causing her pleasure she couldn't describe. She didn't have a second to come down from one climax when he brought her to another.
Thinking about it made her wonder if she was a selfish lover. Could she have satisfied him more? Was he displeased? She literally didn't know where to start. What did he like? Is this why he left their bed this morning? Was he not happy with what they shared?
He probably just had work that needed to get done. She told herself as he stood in front of his office door. She held up her hand to knock but the door was opened before she could.
"Good morning."
If Sabrina wasn't mistaken the look on his face and the tone of his voice said guilt. Like he did something really bad. What was he doing in there?
Shaking off the nasty feeling she smiles. "Morning. Have you had breakfast?"
"I have a few phone calls to make. I'll join you in the kitchen." He was asking her to leave nicely.
"Okay." She agrees quietly.
Once in the kitchen, she prepared pancakes eggs and bacon with one big glass of orange juice and a black cup of coffee ready for Nathan. She sets two plates down and sits at the table.
When Nathan enters he first notices his breakfast and then his distracted wife nose-deep in her phone. He places a kiss on her forehead. "Thank you." He sits across from her while grabbing his cup of coffee.
"So..um.." She nervously mumbles. "I was thinking that maybe I could start going to the shelter again." She takes a sip of her orange juice and watches as he stops chewing.
"I'm sure I'll be fine I don't think anyone wants me dead that bad." She adds.
"Sabrina." He groans. "You know."
"I know that I'm really bored." She cuts him off. "And I know that something is off, and I can't seem to put my finger on what it is. I feel like my life is temporary. I don't want to feel like that so please just let me try to figure out what I'm missing."
Nathan lets out a breath and leans back in the chair twirling his fork. He was disappointed that he couldn't make her completely happy, but her safety mattered more.
Now was the time. He had to tell her the truth about everything. She may never remember or she will remember and never forgive him.
He clears his throat. "Clarissa called. Seems that they have found a house." That's what came out of his mouth instead.
"They've invited us for dinner. She said the children miss you." A distraction is what she needed. At least one night of fun before he did the inevitable. Fun just watching her without worries on her mind.
"When?" She asks.
"This weekend." He takes a bite of his pancakes.
"I can't wait. Should we bring anything?"
He shakes his head.
THE FOLLOWING SATURDAY.
Nathan and Sabrina arrived at Clarissa's new home about an hour's drive away.
He was dressed in a white crisp dress shirt and a pair of soft black pants. She wore an elegant yet simple white dress that clung to her curvy body. She spent an hour in the bathroom adding curls to the bottom of her hair.
Her husband seemed to like it. He kept combing his fingers through it any chance he got. Like he was doing right now as she sat in the passenger seat.
He turned off the engine and gazed at her lovingly.
"What?" She smiles when he continues to stare at her. "Are we going in?"
"In a second."He was enjoying the moments he had with her. He wanted to remember this exact moment. His wife dressed beautifully and was at his side. No sense of reserve in her eyes. No stubbornness. Happy, content, and stunning.
After a few more seconds he gets out of the car and opens the door for her.
"Are you always like this?" She hops onto the curved pavement.
"Like what?"
She points with a nod of her head at the door. "This."
He pulls her head forward and kisses her lips gently. "Only to you my love." He takes her hand and leads the way.
They reach the front door and ring the bell.
"Hey." Nathan pulls Sabrina close to him and looks directly into her eyes. "I love you." It was almost like he was saying goodbye.
Just as his lips were about to touch hers again,
Jacob answers the door. He raises both eyebrows, ignores their moment, and leads them to the backyard where Clarissa sits with her sister Baylee.
"Hey." Clarissa greets them.
"Hey." Baylee waves a hand.
Nathan's hand tightens on Sabrina's and immediately she knows something is up.
He tugs Sabrina to stand behind him and looks at Baylee seriously. "Be good." He orders sternly.
"Of course." She smiles sweetly.
Sabrina was trying to move to read their lips because they were speaking so secretly but, Nathan kept pulling her back.
After a few moments, he tugs to sit on a sofa swing. Once she sits, he lays his head in her lap.
"How are you guys?" Baylee asks.
They both glance up at Clarissa, Jacob, and Baylee sitting around a table across from them. The children were playing in the green grass and had yet to notice Sabrina had arrived.
Nathan closes his eyes and listens to his sisters talk about random things while his wife plays with his hair.
After about an hour of a few different topics, the children pull Sabrina away from Nathan and into the yard. He lets her go because he knows being with them makes her happy, and seeing her happy makes him happy. Selfish he knew.
He wanted to distract her mind from the confusion she was feeling. That's why he brought her here. He loved watching her like this.
She was trying to hula hoop with Alyssa. He watches as Emmie runs into her arms and gives Sabrina a kiss. She held her and attacked her with kisses of her own. A smile plays on his lips. He could watch her all day.
Instantly the smile disappears when he notices Baylee walking towards her.
Fuck. He didn't trust Baylee. She held a lot of resentment toward Sabrina, and his mother constantly crying, and complaints weren't helping. He needed to rush over there before Baylee said something he would regret.
He shouldn't have brought her here. He panicked.
He gets off of the sofa swing and tries not to run over there.
Baylee leans over and whispers something in her ear.
"Uncle Nathan!"
He looks over to Dylan who throws a football at him. He catches it.
"Play with me," Dylan says blocking him from Sabrina.
"Just give me a second." He lifts the boy and sets him aside.
He looks up at Sabrina and Baylee. They looked as if they were in deep conversation.
He reaches and puts his hand around her waist and clears his throat. "What are you two discussing?
"None of your business," Baylee says jokingly.
Nathan didn't laugh. He glances down at Sabrina. She was examining him.
"Why are you so curious?" She squints her eyes.
She knew something was up. He didn't want her talking to Baylee for some reason.
"Yeah Nathan, why are you so curious." Baylee joins in.
"Sweetheart can I speak to my sister alone for a minute."
Sabrina eyed him suspiciously. She wanted to know what was going on. "Sure." She agrees
Nathan grits his teeth and scowls at his sister. "You make the mistake of telling her anything and you'll have me to deal with."
She bows her head.
He begins to walk in the direction of Sabrina but stops and turns back. "And keep your attitude at a minimum."
~~~~~~~~~~
As the night progressed, they had dinner and enjoyed each other's company.
Sabrina hears some childhood stories and sees some pictures. Nathan always had a serious look on his face. There wasn't one picture of him smiling.
He kept her close the whole night. If she walked into another part of the house, soon after he followed. She wanted to just enjoy his attention but couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to it than that.
Everyone was sitting on the living room sofas when Nathan tightened his grip on her hand to get her attention away from the conversation that was going on. "What were you and Baylee speaking about earlier?" He whispers.
"Why?" She asks him instead of answering... Why was he so darn curious? Is he hiding something? Did Baylee not like her? What was he afraid of?
"Sabrina, just answer me please." He actually asked calmly.
"She told me that I make you happy, and she wants me to keep doing that."
Nathan felt lighter. Lighter that his little sister hadn't betrayed him, and lighter that he would get to tell Sabrina the truth. He would hate it if she heard it from someone else. He guessed maybe Baylee changed her mind about Sabrina.
"Ok." He replies and pulls her to lie on his shoulder.
A little while later Sabrina sits up and notices Nathan has fallen asleep. Clarissa and Jacob get up to carry their sleeping children to bed and Baylee approaches her.
"Can I talk to you for a minute?”
"What for?" Nathan’s raspy voice interrupted them.
"I just want to show her something, Nathan," Baylee replies with her usual sass.
Sabrina silently glances between the siblings.
Nathan thinks about it for a moment too long then nods his head in acceptance. He was only making her suspicious.
"Good, thanks." Baylee grabs Sabrina's hand and takes her to the room she was staying in upstairs. She digs in her bag and pulls out a few sheets of stapled paper.
"I want you to read this."
Sabrina was nervous. Whatever was on that paper wasn't good. She could feel it in her bones. She takes the paper and is about to start reading when Baylee shields it with her hand over the paper.
"This stays between us. I just think you should know."
Sabrina nods and reads the words. Marriage agreement.
