Chapter 7
The moment Nathan let's go of her arms she unfreezes.
She gets out of the car, hurrying up the stairs wanting to get ahead of him.
She couldn't let her attraction towards him get the better of her.
He doesn't care about her. This is all a show, and She probably embarrassed him.
When she reaches the door, she rings the bell and waits impatiently. She stands there for three seconds before her waiting-dance starts. It was a little like the dance you did when you have to pee.
She gasps suddenly, when he catches up to her, circling his arm around her tiny waist and brings his mouth close to her ear. "Sabrina." He whispers.
Air inflates her lungs. All the fine hairs on her neck stood up straight. She was going to cave, she could see it now. She a puddle, and he, rain boots.
The front door swings open suddenly. Alyssa and Emmie were standing next to Ned.
"Auntie Sabrina, Uncle Nathan, yayyy!" She shouts.
She picks up Emmie, who had latched on her legs giving Nathan no choice but to release her.
Alyssa starts chatting away while pulling her to the living room where Vivian, Baylee, and Clarissa sat. All three dressed in pink robes and had matching pink mugs. The never-used fireplace was burning a crackling fire and they opened the curtains to let the moonlight in. She was trying to get away from Nathan and ending up in a more uncomfortable situation.
"Joan, Susan, Uncle Henry, and Bryson all confirmed that they are all coming Sunday," Baylee announces.
Sabrina stands unnoticed until Nathan comes from behind her. "What are they coming for?"
"I'm inviting some of our family for a get-together. It's not often all three of my kids are home." Vivian looks over with the corner of her eyes crinkled, but then her brows rise and her smile disintegrates. "Where were the two of you?"
"Out." Is all Nathan replies.
He didn't like being questioned. Not even by his mother.
"Why is that out of the ordinary? Baylee asks.
"Don't start, Baylee." Clarissa squints her eyes and commands her sister.
"No, Sabrina's is just dressed up and, I wondered where they went that's all." Vivian answers and continues. "Anyway, I expect all of you to make no other plans for Sunday. Your cousins will expect to see you."
Nathan takes Emmie out of Sabrina's hands and drops her into her mother's lap. "Got it." Then he pulls her in the direction of the stairs. They pass Jacob, Matthew, and Dylan on their way down.
"Auntie Sabrina you're back!" Sabrina hadn't seen them since this morning, so when he extends his hands to come with her. She took it and now he was coming with them.
"Oh for God's sake..." Nathan stops and stoops down in front of Dylan. They had just reached the top. "Go and play. I need to talk to your aunt alone ok?"
Dylan's eyes turned glossy and a shaking frown appears.
"Awww." Sabrina's voices sympathetically.
He stands and tightens his grip. "I need to talk to you, Sabrina." He said her name so much now she wondered if he liked it on his lips.
"Dylan!" Jacob calls.
He follows his father's voice and Nathan wasted no time pulling her into the room, shutting the door, and trapping her on it. "I want an answer." He demands.
"My father asks me to." Just answer he'll leave you alone. She told herself.
"Why?" His suspicious eyes scrutinize her.
"I don't know." Her chest rises and collapses, inhaling his cologne. It was too much and too fast.
"There's no reason for you to lie, Sabrina…” He growls.
She winced at his change of attitude. "What reason do I have to lie?"
He puts his hands in his pockets and takes a step back. "So you mean to tell me, you married a stranger because daddy told you? He squints his examining glare as if to ask, you expect me to believe that?
"Uggh…”She gets annoyed. Here she was trying to be honest and he already made up his mind. “My father is dying! "Is that what you want to hear?" She pushes him back and goes to her place of sanctuary, the bathroom.
She glares at herself in the mirror.
He was making her confront things she didn't want to. Like her father's impending death.
A knock at the doors penetrates her ears.
"Sabrina. Come out."
"Just give me a second." She doesn't remove her eyes from her reflection. "Don't cry." She whispers. “Don’t cry.”
Once she feels that she got herself together enough, she opens the door and sees him standing in front with his arms folded. “I'm sorry." He admits.
She ignores him, passes right by, heading to the closet but he reaches out and latches onto her wrist. Her breath hitches. “What are you doing?”
“Come.” He responds simply and scoops her up into his arms.
She squeals. “Put me down…”
He carries her to the bed, drops her on it, and pins her hands down.
She barely had time to register what was happening before his lips came crashing onto hers.
Instantly she was spellbound. She moaned as soon as his lips touched hers. Hypnotized, lost in his every touch and smell.
He presses his mouth with harshness and kisses her with urgency. Mixing and meshing his lips with her’s. He was lost and never wanted to find his way.
In a trance-like state, he drags his lips from her mouth and begins taking advantage of the skin her dress revealed. He places hot kisses on her jaw and on her neck, then he lets go of her wrist and searches her body. His hands trail along the smooth skin of her thighs. "Sabrina." He moans bringing his mouth back onto hers.
Whimpers and panting were the only sounds that came out of their mouths for a long time after that. They roll around grabbing, squeezing, and caressing. Then Nathan sits up on his knees and starts loosening his tie.
He watched his wife's hair sprawled behind her. He watched her swollen lips and the hickey forming on her neck. He watches the plumb of her breast rising and fall. He was utterly transfixed. Nothing else in the world existed for him right now.
He unbuttoned the first three buttons of his shirt before Sabrina's eyes widened. "Wait."She holds up a hand.
He couldn't seem to think of a reason to stop so he leans back down and kisses her cheek because she turns her head. He didn't care he kept kissing.
She smells so good. He thought.
"Nathan." She was trying to protest but it just came out like she was moaning in pleasure.
He grabs hold of her hair and covers her mouth again. Hearing his name out of her mouth made all his control go out the door.
"Nathan." She kept moaning in between kisses.
"Hmm." He finally answers while continuing to kiss her.
"Nathan... I'm not ready for this."
"Ok." He doesn't stop. He angles her head to gain better access to her neck.
Her eyes roll back in her head, he was so passionate. His every grip was so dangerously satisfying. He made her feel alive, wanted, sexy. She wanted to let go and enjoy what he so very generously offering, but she refuses to be just sex to anyone. Nathan would grow bored of her and, she would be worse off then she was before. Instead of just bored and hidden away, she would be heartbroken too.
She wants the person breaking her virginity to care about her. To love her, and
he ignored her for fourteen long months.
"Nathan, please." She pushes on his chest. "Wait."
"I heard you, Sabrina." His tone was stern, but he didn't budge. "I won't do anything you're not ready for." He shifts his gaze and searches her face while pushing her hair back. "Are you a virgin?"
"Yes…but I’m not nervous if that's what you're thinking."
"Ok then, tell me, sweetheart, Why do you want me to stop?" He starts kissing her jawline.
Sabrina couldn't tell him she didn't want to get emotionally involved. That would only sound like an invitation to him.
"When is the last time you've been with a woman?" She wanted to annoy him. It's unbelievably hard not to enjoy his touch.
"He takes a deep breath. "It's been a while." He grabs her face with both hands covering her mouth violently demanding access. He wanted to silence her. She wasn't stupid.
She twists her head from him. "How long is a while?"
He hated to be questioned. With strong force, he turns her head back. "Sabrina."He said her name like he was scolding a child.
"Can you get off of me?" She asks. He wanted
to kiss her and touch her but she didn't have a right to know if he was sleeping with anyone else?”
"No." He takes her hands putting them above her head. He proceeds to kiss her cheeks because she turns her face again.
"Nathan Let me go."
Nathan was preoccupied with the smell of her hair and the feel of her smooth skin. He was so mesmerized by her soft voice and the way she was squirming in his arms. "You seem to like me on you very much." He whispers by her ear.
She stops wiggling. "You seem to like being on me. Why?"
He smiles but doesn't answer.
Her belly starts growling. He puts his head on her forehead and lets out a breath. "Let's get something to eat." He pulls her up. "Change." He then orders.
They sit in the dining room area alone. Sounds echo from the other room. Children's laughter, the tv, and a conversation. Vivian and her daughters were discussing the party for this weekend. Joking and hysterical laughter in between.
Nathan and Sabrina both ate silently, sneaking looks at each other in between bites. She wondered why he was suddenly acting like their relationship was real. How did he go from zero to one -hundred in two days? Maybe seeing her with another man?
He applied pressure on her hands, jolting her back. He waves his eyebrows at her in question.
She shakes her head and keeps eating.
A moment later, they were joined at the table by a giggling Baylee and Clarissa. They both take seats in front of Sabrina.
“Holy crap Nathan, Did you try to eat her?"
Sabrina couldn't help but laugh at the look on Clarissa's scrunched up expression. “Why?" She puts the fork to her mouth.
"You haven't seen it? There's a purple spot on your neck."
"Well." Nathan interrupts. "Your kids kept me starving last night. What do you expect?"
"Not for pieces of her to go missing…” Baylee laughs the whole way through her sentence.
Sabrina chokes on her food and Nathan attentively taps her back.
“Are you two drunk?” He eyes his sisters.
"A little." Baylee mumbles.
"I never get to see my sister, and my husband volunteered to put the kids to bed tonight. So I'm having fun." Clarissa states.
The next moment, Vivian walks into the kitchen with a photo album.
"Oh...God... Mommmmm... No more pictures…. Baylee pleads with praying hands.
Clarissa laughs hysterically slapping the table a few times.
Nathan shakes his head obviously amused. Sabrina was amused too.
"Ok... Ok..." Vivian drops the album on the table. "What so funny in here?"
"Oh, nothing… we’ve all just been admiring the hole in Sabrina." Baylee jokes.
One of Vivian's brows elevates. She glances at her neck and then back at Nathan.
He didn't seem to care, he continued eating. Meanwhile, her daughters kept laughing about her son's eating habits but she found nothing funny. She gave a death stare for a few seconds longer before going into another room.
Ned enters the dining area with a cordless phone. "For you sir." He says handing it to Nathan.
"Whoever it is. I'll call them back." He waves a hand.
"I told him, sir. He said it's an emergency."
Nathan puts down his fork and takes the phone with an impatient "What…”
He listens. "Shit... I told Sam to change those blueprints." He then kisses Sabrina's forehead before leaving towards his home office.

Sabrina sits uncomfortably finishing her food without a word. She watched Baylee and Clarissa laugh about the stupidest joke. Then Baylee's turns to her.
She points at her sister sitting beside her. "She's right, I need to butt out of your marriage… And there’s one more thing...." Her words were slurred and her hands were pointing very close to Sabrina's face.
"Mom and I invited Lola."
"Who's Lola?"
She glances at her sister who had put her head down and then answers. "Lola is one of my friends growing up. She had a major crush on Nathan...She still does actually." She hick-ups and calls Ned for a glass of wine.
"Eventually, she told him she did. I told her he wouldn't reciprocate but she didn't listen.” She shrugs. “Nathan was only with a girl once, and Lola was around a lot."
"So, you called her to what?" Sabrina leans back and crosses her arms.
"Well, mom said you guys were having problems. So I thought my brother needed some fun. Lola said she could do fun… But after seeing that Bloch. I think you guys are fine."
She takes the wine from Ned, then notices her sleeping sister. "Oh crap… She always does this to me..." She grabs her sister's hair turning her head. "Clarissa! Are you there? Pick up…”
She doesn't budge.
"Whatever." Baylee guzzles half her glass and swallows. "Oh, and I should tell you, Lola doesn't know he's married. She stopped reading up on him in the papers. Too heartbreaking she said... Anyway, she'd flip. I just couldn't tell her."
"What am I supposed to do with this information?"
"All I know is that the guilt is off my conscience."
She watched Baylee take back the rest of her drink and started yelling for Jacob to come and get the present she left for him on the table.
