Chapter 13. Tom's mother

When finished cleaning up the river, Tom's bad luck didn't stop there.

When Tom walked out of the river area, he slipped because the river floor was slippery. 'Is my bad luck today because I killed Flower,' thought Tom.

Finally, after all the events that Tom went through during the trip to the park, Tom arrived at the park that Tom and Nathaniel had promised.

Seeing that Tom had come with a look on his face holding back his emotions and his clothes that were already wet because he had slipped on the river, Nathaniel and Millie scoffed at Tom.

"What's wrong with you Tom, why do you look like the midfielder I saw in the human world," Millie said, holding back her laughter.

"Hahaha, yes, very similar," Nathaniel said while laughing out loud.

Tom looked at his two friends from the werewolf world sharply. "Just tell me what made you leave Megana's kingdom!" Tom said in a cold tone.

"Hahaha, it turns out that Tom, my friend, is still the same as before, still just as cold," Nathaniel said, easing his laughter.

Nathaniel finally told what happened in the kingdom of Megana.

Nathaniel says that Tom's mother is sick because she misses him. Tom finally felt sad because he wanted to go home but his wish in the human world had not been fulfilled. He wanted to bring his mother into the human world but it wasn't the right time yet.

Nathaniel tells that he and Millie live not far from Tom's wife Rose's house because Nathaniel is worried about Tom's situation in the human world alone, afraid that someone suddenly finds out that Tom is a werewolf and they kill Tom because they know Tom is a werewolf.

Tom asked Nathaniel. "Why did you come to the human world to become husband and wife, do you secretly love each other?“

"I've secretly loved Millie since I moved to Megana's kingdom, isn't Millie very beautiful, Tom," said Nathaniel, which made Millie uncomfortable.

Nathaniel doesn't come from the Megana kingdom, he comes from the Matthew kingdom which was a kingdom that lost during the war with the Megana kingdom, that's what caused all the werewolves from the Matthew kingdom to move to the Megana kingdom to become bodyguards or slaves.

They have to obey all orders from King Megana, all werewolves know King Megana is a king who is very cruel and does not easily forgive if he is caught violating the rules of Megana's kingdom.

Tom felt sad because his mother had to be sick alone, but he had no other choice. He had to be able to live in the human realm because now he has a wife who is pregnant with his child, later after everything is settled he will immediately bring his mother to live in the human realm with him and his son and wife.

His mother must be happy to hear the news that he is married and even has a child who is now being conceived by his wife.

"I will not let you live in the human realm alone Tom, because I am your true friend," said Nathaniel.

Tom nodded in response, Tom finally got permission to go home for fear that he would make his wife suspicious because he had been gone too long.

Tom hoped that on the way home he would not have bad luck like before when he was about to leave, he felt tired and sick in his hands.

When Tom arrived at Tom's house he heard Rose singing in a melodious voice

Tom looked at his wife in awe. Still can't believe he's going to marry that girl. Precisely the girl he adored became his!

Rose's singing stopped when she saw her husband had come home, Rose then asked why Tom had taken so long to go to his fields, Rose already felt very homesick to be left by Tom.

These days, Rose misses Tom. It felt like she wanted to be by her husband's side.

"I'm sorry, honey, I saw a girl who seemed to be in trouble, so I helped her first because I felt sorry for her as if I remembered that I was like that because my parents died," said Tom, giving an untrue reason.

Rose nodded in response. "Do you want something? They say when someone is pregnant they want to eat something. What do you want to eat?" Tom asked Rose with concern.

"Nothing, I just want to be with you," Rose answered shyly.

Tom chuckled at his wife's words. Since when was this stiff wife good at teasing him?

"Have you eaten?" Tom asked again with concern.

Tom doesn't want anything to happen to his wife and children. He had to make sure both of them were healthy.

"Well, do you want to eat? Let me prepare it," said Rose

Tom shook his head in response. His stomach is still full.

Rose saw a wound on Tom's hand. Because she was worried and unable to contain her curiosity, Rose immediately asked Tom's wound "Why with your hand honey?"

Tom said that when he finished delivering the girl earlier he was stopped by thugs from the market who wanted to make fun of him, so he had a muscle fight with the thugs. Tom didn't realize if one of the thugs had a weapon.

The response asked who was treating the wound. Tom said if the lady was treating her hand. Rose intends to thank Mrs. Rose for the next day when she goes to the market.


Flashback to Tom's Life


Tom used to be cared for by his mother alone, Tom's father had died when Tom was a child due to being a slave in the Megana kingdom, Tom's father was employed without being paid and fed, which made Tom's father die.

Since his father died, Tom became vengeful with the king of the Megana kingdom which made his father die. Since then, Tom became a werewolf who was stubborn and difficult to manage.

Tom always makes trouble, and violates Megana's work rules which makes the king of the Megana kingdom angry with Tom, makes Tom a maid in the Megana kingdom which aims to make Tom give up, Tom who has often been punished by the king of the Megana kingdom never feels tired and increasingly violates Megana's rule.

Tom was even punished for carrying many sharp weapons on his back, the weapons he wanted to use for war.

The first time he met Nathaniel was when Nathaniel was crying because his father and mother had died on the battlefield.

Nathaniel's father and mother were royal bodyguards in Matthew's kingdom.

Since his father and mother died, Nathaniel has lived alone without a family, his family has all died because of war, and he has even been made a slave in the Megana kingdom.

"Honey, do you want to hear me sing a song or not?" she asked.

"Sure, sing me a romantic song honey, can you or not?" Tom asked, intending to challenge his wife.

Not waiting for a long time, Rose immediately took the guitar that was beside her, and immediately strummed it skillfully.

Rose looked at Tom deeply, as if implying something, and vice versa.

Tom was lost in her voice and blue eyes. Tom smiled sweetly when his wife finished singing a song she had brought earlier.

Tom briefly kissed his wife's juicy lips, and in an instant Rose's cheeks immediately turned red.

"How is our child in the stomach honey?" Tom asked while stroking Rose's stomach.

"It's fine," Rose replied, still embarrassed because of her husband's sudden treatment.

This kind of thing is commonplace, but Rose is still embarrassed if Tom needs her to be this sweet.

"Thanks," said Tom.

Tom was silent for a moment, his mind confused, thinking later after his child was born whether he would follow Rose as an ordinary human or follow himself to become a werewolf.

Then if their child follows Tom to become a werewolf, how will Rose react?

Will this woman still be with him when he finds out her true form?

Tom hopes that if his child becomes an ordinary human or a werewolf, his child will always be given enough happiness and love, unlike him before who did not feel his father's love, Tom will always try to be a good father for his child.

"What's wrong, honey? Something on your mind?" Rose asked while holding her husband's shoulder.

Tom jumped in surprise, his reverie was broken because Rose broke his focus. "No, just thinking about work. There was a little problem earlier" lied the man.

Rose was suspicious of her husband, what was the problem that made her husband daydream long enough?

But Rose dismissed all the bad thoughts. Rose dismissed her suspicions. Rose must believe in her husband. He believed that Tom would also not lie to him, right?

Tom looked at Rose who was daydreaming "Why are you the one dreaming, honey?" he asked

Rose quickly shook her head "Ah, no. I wasn't daydreaming," Rose's alibi.

The key to a relationship is communication and honesty, don't you think?

What happens if one of them keeps a big secret? Will the relationship between the two continue?

Rose leaned her head on her husband's shoulder, for some reason she always wanted to be close and pampered with Tom.

Is this an effect of the pregnancy?

Tom swiftly stroked his wife's mane with great affection. "You know? I'm still devastated by Flo's departure," Rose said suddenly.

Suddenly Tom's heart raced faster, what if his woman found out he killed his friend?

Ah! Tom hasn't eaten human blood in a long time, it must be delicious!

For 1 month he ate the blood of that meager animal.

"Isn't that fate? Let's just pray for the best for your friend, honey. You don't need to think about it anymore," explained Tom.

"Are you hungry? what if this time I cook for you?" Tom offered to break up the situation which he thought was very unpleasant.

Rose looked at Tom with a laugh of joy, how could she not?

Her husband never went into the kitchen to cook, and what was that?

Himself offering to cook for Rose? Is that true?

Tom, who sold his wife, laughed at himself and immediately put on a sullen face. Instead of being recorded, Rose laughed even louder.

"What do you want to cook? Can you cook?" Rose asked still with a small laugh.

"I can't, but I'll do anything for you, Rose. Anything!" He said with confidence.

Rose stared at her husband's eyes with greetings, trying to find lies in his eyes. But nothing, Rose found no doubt in his eyes, which made Rose immediately hug Tom tightly.

"I love you," Rose muttered, which Tom could still hear very clearly.

"I love you more, baby."
