Chapter 16. The truth

Tom checked his wife's condition over and over again. The man also gave the scent of eucalyptus oil so that his wife would quickly wake up.


"How can your wife know when you're changing, Tom?" asked Nathaniel, surprised.


Currently, Nathaniel and Millie are at Tom's house. The howling had been a signal from Nathaniel that he was visiting Tom. And Tom, who caught the signal, immediately replied to Nathaniel's howl.


"That's because of you!" said Tom sarcastically.


Tom is afraid that his wife will leave him and his child, what should Tom do?

"Tom, your son looks just like you!" said Millie happily. The woman gently pinched Leo's cheek who was fast asleep beside Rose who fainted.


"Because it's my son!" Tom replied with annoyance.


Tom is still annoyed with these two friends because they are his wife to be like this. What if Rose left her and Leo alone?


He can't bear to be away from Rose!


"Yeah yeah yeah, I hope he's not as annoying as you are!" said Millie with annoyance.


"Say, why did you guys come here and see me?" asked Tom finally.


It was not like the two of them usually met him at home. Usually, Nathaniel would meet him in the fields, is this important?


"I'm here to tell you, Rose, being targeted by Arcyl," explained Nathaniel to Tom.

Rose has been targeted by Arcyl for a long time because Rose is the owner of holy blood which can make anyone who drinks it live longer and stronger.


Any wolf nation wants Rose! Therefore Tom wants to quickly marry Rose. Making that woman her, until the holy blood that flows in Rose's body no longer functions.


That was the reason why Tom quickly proposed to Rose first. When you think about it, it's weird, isn't it?

They didn't know each other for long, so Tom immediately started a more serious relationship.


"Arcyl will make sure of it himself, he wants to find Rose. And he already knows where you are. Right now your mother is also very ill. Arcyl always acts as he pleases your mother!" said Nathaniel passionately.

Suddenly Rose showed movement, indicating that the woman had almost regained consciousness.

Suddenly, Rose's brown eyes opened. Rose woke up from her sleep and backed away when she found the calm Tom steadying herself.


Her body was still shaking, convincing herself that this was all a dream. Rose shook her tears again tearfully. She was scared, of course!


She also felt betrayed. Tom, who saw his wife's fear, immediately approached the woman. "Honey, you don't-"


"Everything is a dream? What I see is a dream, right, Tom?!" Before Tom could finish his words, Rose interrupted the man whose status was her husband.


Nathaniel and Millie were silent when Rose stared at them demandingly. They could not explain anything unless Tom gave permission.


Of course Rose was shocked, how could she not? She just realized that she was married and even gave birth to a child from a half-werewolf.


Rose intensified her sobs. "Honey, listen to me first. I-"


Again and again, Tom's words were cut off by Rose, the woman shook with fear. Rose just realized the death of Flower, her best friend. Was this also her husband's doing?


Flower dies tragically, dry without blood. Was this her husband's doing? Rose was bubbling her head more, trying to get rid of unnecessary thoughts.

Painstakingly the man adjusted his wife's position so that when Rose woke up she would not feel any pain in her body. "What if he leaves me? What if my wife doesn't want to see me again?" Tom asked Nathaniel and Millie.


"I don't know, isn't that already the consequence?" said Millie while walking towards Tom who was gently stroking Rose's hair which had closed again.


"Her eyes are so puffy!" continued Millie again.

Rose's eyes were puffy this time, you can see it clearly in the two groups of her eyes that were closed.

"You must return to the palace, Tom!" said Nathaniel suddenly.


Tom looked at his close wife, there was no way he would leave his wife in this condition. His anxiety could happen, and Rose left him.


"But what about my wife? There's no way I'm leaving her in this state!" said Tom


While talking, suddenly there was a signal of a wolf howling which made Millie, Nathaniel, and Tom panic and be alert.


"Who's that?" asked Nathaniel, confused.


Because it seems that around here there are only those who incidentally are werewolves. So who gave the barking signal?


Nathaniel and Tom quickly walked down the stairs to go downstairs. Just in case something goes wrong.


“Millie, you stay here. Please take care of my wife!” Tom ordered the woman.


Millie quickly nodded her head, after getting an answer from Millie Nathaniel and Tom immediately left the room.


When they got downstairs, Tom and Nathaniel were surprised by the arrival of a wolf right in front of their house.


“Roberts!” cried Tom when he saw the wolf was changing into a human form.


Nathaniel was no less surprised, how could Robert know where they were?

Robert himself is Arcyl's subordinate, of course, Tom and Nathaniel were very panicked when they found out that the man had come to the atomic house. What's that guy up to? Will you take Rose from him?

"Were you surprised by my arrival here?" asked Robert in a mocking manner that made Tom want to explode his anger.

"I won't let that happen!" said Tom and immediately lunged at Robert, hitting him blindly.


Robert also did not want to stay silent. The man immediately countered Tom's attack which he thought was very strong.


Nathaniel was the same way, busy with the bodyguard who was here with Robert earlier.


The fight was getting noisier and fiercer, Millie, who heard the noise, immediately walked down the stairs to see what was going on.


When Millie was right at the top of the stairs, the woman could see Robert who was already battered. It's the same with Tom, only Tom's injuries are not as bad as Robert's.

Robert glanced at Millie who was at the top of the stairs, after which the man cleared his throat.


“It turns out that all of you are hiding here, huh?” said Robert on the sidelines to regulate his breath.


“You better get out of here, Robert! Before we finish off you and your damn bodyguard!” snapped Nathaniel angrily.


Robert didn't pay attention to Nathaniel's words, he looked at Tom who was off guard, not wanting to waste a chance, Robert took out his knife and immediately lunged at Tom.


Robert pointed the knife right at Tom's heart. What is certain, Tom just died easily.


“TOM! TOM"


Millie and Nathaniel's voices sounded so loud when the knife hit Tom.
