Chapter 9. Wedding day
"D-do you love me, Tom?" Rose asked in a slightly surprised tone.
"I love you so much Rose, I love you more than anything," said Tom seriously. This is so ridiculous! But it cannot be denied that Rose also has feelings for Tom.
"I want Tom, I want to be your girlfriend Tom," Rose said in the end. Wouldn't Rose's feelings be reciprocated? Of course, Rose will accept, happy? Of course!
Tom pulled Rose into his arms, and now they are officially a couple.
Tom's days in the human world are accompanied by his lover, they meet every day, at the market or even at the lake, the lake where they become lovers.
Tom loves Rose, he seems to love Rose.
After a week of dating secretly, Tom finally asked Mrs. Karen if they had a relationship.
Mrs. Karen was not surprised to hear that because she already suspected that later they would become lovers and even husband and wife.
This morning Tom as usual went to Mrs. Karen's stall, he had breakfast cooked by Mrs. Karen before going to work, and Mrs. Karen seemed to have considered Tom like her son.
Every day Mrs. Karen always cooks the chicken with different spices, if today it's opor then tomorrow the chicken is grilled, every day always changes.
Tom is used to eating it all, he is very grateful to Mrs. Karen who is very kind to him since he went to the human world.
After Tom finished breakfast, he went to open the stall, Mrs. Karen, why is it always Tom who opens the stall? ... Because Tom feels sorry for Mrs. Karen, having to open the stall is very difficult.
Tom served customers patiently, even though sometimes he felt irritated because there were women who teased him shamelessly, and that often made Rose jealous when she found out about it.
Not felt, one month has passed, already one month also Tom and Rose became lovers.
Tom, his heart is steady if he wants to propose to Rose now.
Tom goes to Rose's parent's house on foot.
Rose's parents are rich people in the village, Rose's father named Damar is a landlord, and Rose's mother named Dewi works as a clothes maker, who already has her shop. Rose's mother's clothes are so good that Rose's mother's shop is very famous.
At Rose's doorstep, Tom knocked on the door, and it was Rose, his girlfriend, who opened the door.
Time asked Rose "Where are your parents?" asked Tom in a gentle tone.
Rose, who was surprised by Tom's presence, answered haltingly "Inside Tom, wait a minute! I'll call you, you come in first," Rose told Tom to enter.
Tom goes into Rose's house.
Finally, Rose's father and mother came out asking what Tom's purpose was for coming here.
Tom said he wanted to marry Rose, Tom also said that even though he didn't have much money, he would try to meet Rose's needs.
Mr. Rose replied, "It's up to you. If my daughter wants to be with you, I will bless you to marry my daughter," said Mr. Damar.
"Me too, if Rose wants to be with you, then I will also bless you," said Dewi's mother.
Now, Tom, father, and mother looked at Rose, waiting for a response from Rose.
Rose nodded that she wanted to marry Tom, with tears in her eyes. Rose was crying not because she was sad, but she was crying because she was happy and touched.
Dewi hugged Rose's body to calm her daughter. "Now my daughter is a big girl, take care of yourself well honey, if you are already living with your future husband, if your future husband is rude to you, tell your mother right away," said Rose's mother while crying happily.
Tom and Rose's wedding will be held a week later.
Dewi immediately invited Rose to make wedding dresses at her shop, Rose's mother made clothes according to her daughter's wishes.
Tom was allowed to go, he will return to Mrs. Karen's stall.
After Tom returned to Mrs. Karen's stall, he saw Mrs. Karen waiting for an answer from Rose's parents.
"How did it work?" Mrs. Karen asked curiously.
Tom nodded in response, which made Mrs. Karen happy.
Mrs. Karen is happy that Tom is finally married, although she feels sad because maybe after Tom is married she won't have to cook chicken for Tom anymore.
Tom seemed to know what was on Mrs. Karen's mind, "Tom will always eat whatever you cook, madam," said Tom.
"Is it true?" asked Mrs. Karen.
Tom nodded.
Tom continues to find out how human marriage is carried out, "Is it the same as a werewolf wedding?" Tom asked in his heart.
In the evening Rose took Tom to her mother's shop to make wedding dresses.
Tom obeyed all of Rose's wishes, wanting what the groom's dress would look like, for Tom Rose's happiness was the most important thing to him.
Tom didn't tell Rose who he was, Tom didn't want Rose to leave him.
Whenever Rose asked where Tom's parents were, Tom always answered that his parents had died when he was little.
Mr. Damar often invites Tom to meet after Tom finishes work to just talk so that a good relationship is established between you and Tom.
Rose also found out about Tom's favorite food from Mrs. Karen, so that from a week before the wedding was held, she tried to learn how to cook chicken with various spices, she even often asked Mrs. Karen for recipes, which Mrs. Karen must have told her.
After going to Mrs. Dewi's shop, Tom went to Rose's house to meet Rose's father.
While father and Tom were chatting, Rose went into the kitchen to learn how to cook again. Rose wanted everything that Tom wanted she could do from starting to cook chicken, to learning to live independently from her parents after being officially married and there was much more than Tom wanted.
Everything Rose did was for tomorrow if she married Tom, Tom didn't regret marrying her.
On the other hand, Tom and Mr. Rose are talking about marriage.
Mr. Damar told Tom about how he was able to marry Rose's mother in the past.
In the past, Mr. Damar married Mrs. Dewi because of an arranged marriage, they had been arranged since they were small.
At the beginning of their marriage, they were cold to each other, feeling that this marriage would not last long because there was no love between the two.
But who would have guessed if it turns out that their marriage has been going on for 30 years, even now they love each other?
"Have you prepared everything after marrying my daughter?" Ask Mr. Damar.
"I have prepared everything, sir, even though I am still a poor man, but I will always try to never make Rose in trouble, I promise, sir," replied Tom.
"You don't need promises, but you need proof, prove it after you two officially become husband and wife," said Damar.
