Chapter 25. Not yet back

Rose has been waiting for the arrival of Tom and her mother-in-law for a year, but there is no news. Worried? Of course!

The sound of knocking on the door and the bell ringing broke Rose's thoughts. The woman immediately carried Leo to come down to meet the guests. A mother would not be able to leave her son alone for a long time.

“Where's your husband, Rose? Has he returned from out of town yet? I never met him again, it's been a very long time,” said Mrs. Karen.

“Gosh, Rose! If your husband knows for sure he will be mad at you. Just for me to bring fried chicken. Usually, your husband likes my fried chicken. But it's a shame he isn't there,” interrupted Mrs. Karen when Rose had not finished continuing her words.


Rose only smiled faintly when she saw Mrs. Karen enthusiastically opening the basket she had brought earlier. And sure enough, in the basket, there is a lot of fried chicken.

"Eat, let me play with Leo," said Mrs. Karen who took over Leo from Rose.


"No need, Rose can do it herself. Rose will make a drink for you," said Rose.


"No need. If you want to drink, you can go to the kitchen by yourself. You eat first” answered Mrs. Karen with great concern.
