Chapter 26. Need Rose

Meanwhile, Tom is at Megana. The man's condition was very apprehensive. Tom's face looked very pale, but the man kept working. Arcyl did not allow himself to rest.


While Regina the mother is also the same, the difference is that Regina is made a servant by Arcyl who is separated from Tom.


Tom didn't give Arcyl any rest at all. Tom always has to do palace work which is not his job. As a result, the man's body became limp and frail.


"Do you want to surrender to me, Tom?" asked Arcyl with a mocking smile when he saw Tom's completely impossible condition.


"I will not give up! You don't necessarily become king! You just do as you please, I can assure you, all of your retainers won't stay with you for too long!” Tom said, looking at Arcyl as if in a murderous stare.


Arcyl who saw that was getting annoyed, Tom dared to cast a look like that at Arcyl. Arcyl felt insulted by Tom's gaze.

But the next second, Arcyl laughed crisply, of course!


Tom can only give his death glare without being able to fight himself, hey! With the gaze of people, you will not be able to destroy it.


"Stop that stare, Tom. I'm sick of looking at it! You can't do anything but throw that blazing gaze of yours. With you looking at me like that, I won't die under you,” sneered Arcyl.


Tom clenched his fists tightly, holding back the emotions that were ready to explode. Arcyl is draining his patience!

If only he was not weak, it is certain, Tom would beat him blindly.


“And what did you say? I do whatever I want?” asked Arcyl with narrowed eyes.


Not long after, Arcyl immediately stepped to approach Tom with a mocking smile. "Since I have the power, it's only natural that I prepare as I please, don't you think, Tom?"


Arcyl noticed that Tom's grip was getting stronger and his face was tightening, indicating that Tom was holding back his emotions that were ready to explode. But even if exploding was useless, Tom still couldn't fight back.


Arcyl knows that Tom's weakness lies in Rose, when he is weak, the medicine for Tom is Rose, the owner of that holy blood. But with the jerk Tom claimed Rose to be his own which made any nation of wolves no longer able to use Rose's holy blood. Only Tom, only Tom can!


"Then what do you want? Locking me up here won't allow you to have that holy blood if that's what you mean by bringing me here,” explained Tom to Arcyl.


Tom was right, but it was because of that that Arcyl made Tom here in such a dire state. “Yes, that's my goal, to make you suffer! Because of you, I can't have that holy blood," said Arcyl.

He was very upset when he saw Tom. Arcyl never thought that Tom would go that far. Tom married her and made her sacred blood. What a surprise!


The werewolves have been waiting for the owner of the holy blood for a long time to be ready to be hunted, but look what Tom has done!

It's not only Arcyl who is at a disadvantage but all the werewolves who have targeted Rose.


Arcyl looked at Tom with a murderous look, after that Arcyl left the place where Tom was forced to work without stopping.


Tom was still staring at Arcyl's back with annihilating eyes, he missed his son and also his wife, but he didn't have the energy to get out of this palace that felt like a prison.


“Tom.”

Tom, who heard someone calling him, immediately turned around and found Claire.

Tom looked at Claire confusedly, didn't Tom take Claire to a safe place before leaving?


Yet why was this woman already here again? Did Arcyl also manage to catch Claire?


“You look very pale, Tom. I brought you this,” Claire continued by holding out a glass filled with animal blood.


No need to wait any longer, Tom immediately gulped greedily, Arcyl didn't give himself anything to eat which made Tom a little dry.


"How did you get here?" asked Tom after he finished drinking the fresh blood that Claire gave him.


“I don't know where to go. Even though Arcyl tested my patience, I have no other purpose except to come back here. Oh yeah, take it easy, your mother is safe with me, I will always take care of your mother for you,” Claire said with a big smile.


Tom returned Claire's smile, Claire was good to him.


"Thank you, Claire," said Tom sincerely.


“Tom.”


Tom looked at the woman in confusion, did anyone have something serious to talk about?


"What is it?" asked Tom confusedly.

Tom's face even showed a very clear look of confusion, especially when Claire didn't continue what she was saying after several minutes had passed. "Why? Is there anything you'd like to say?” asked Tom again.


"I know this is wrong, Tom. But I'm sorry, I love you,” Claire said softly.


Tom? Of course very surprised, I don't know where the courage came from. Claire said that. Even though Claire herself knew that Tom was married and had a child.


Tom was silent, trying to ignore his friend's words, he didn't know what to answer either.


Suddenly, Tom's chest hurt, which made Claire worry. “Tom? What is wrong with you?" Claire asked frantically.


Tom's body suddenly felt all limp, if it weren't for Claire helping to support his body, Tom might have been lying helplessly on top of him. "My chest hurts," Tom said softly.


"Hold on Tom, I'll help take you to the room," said Claire worried. The woman helped support Tom's body to go to the room.


Arriving at the room, Claire immediately rested Tom's body, which was very weak and powerless. Maybe this was indeed an effect because he didn't rest enough, in fact, he didn't rest at all.


“Tom, are you okay? Where does it hurt?" asked Claire with a worried expression on her face.

Tom shook his head in response, Rose! He only needs Rose as a cure. But how did Tom meet his wife?


"Thank you, Claire," said Tom because Claire was willing to help him. Claire smiled warmly at Tom. According to him, this is not a burden for Claire, she is very happy to be able to help Tom, ah, to be precise near Tom.


"I need Rose," Tom said suddenly, which made Claire's warm smile fade away. Claire should have realized herself, and forgotten about Tom. Instead of expressing her love for the man.



Isn't it the day Claire herself is sick when Tom tells her that he needs Rose? Meanwhile, a few minutes ago Claire declared her love for Tom. Couldn't this man just keep his feelings in check?

Claire smiled bitterly, what did you expect?

After all, it was Claire's position that was wrong. Either way, Claire is still wrong. She boldly reveals her heart to a married man.


Suddenly a feeling of tightness burst into Claire's day.

"Ah, y-yes. I will help you to meet me. Rose is back,” Claire said with her fake smile. No more sweet smiles like before.


“You know I already have Rose, right? I didn't mean to hurt you, Claire. But I do need Rose. And I love her.”

"I can not return your feelings, Claire," he continued again.


Claire was silent for a few moments before returning to answer Tom's words. "Ah, no problem, I just want to say that I love you. Not that I want you to return the feelings I have for Tom.” Claire replied with a bitter smile. For whatever reason! The chest was tight.


But what else can I do?


Even if Claire tried, no matter what, if Tom didn't want to open his heart to her, it would be useless.


"I will help you to meet Rose," Claire continued.


Tom, who heard Claire's words, was happy and worried. Does it mean that Claire wants to take Rose to the palace?


"How to? Do you want to take Rose to the palace? What if Arcyl finds out?” asked Tom insistently.

“Just leave it all to me, Tom”

Rose heard the sound of the bell ringing repeatedly, it seemed that this guest was very impatient. It was clear when *he pressed the doorbell. There was no pause, the bell just kept ringing quickly.


Rose glanced at Leo who wasn't bothered at all, then her eyes widened to look at the clock. It's already 10 pm, who visits at this time of night?

Rose immediately went down the stairs carefully, afraid that bad people would enter her house. “Rose, Mom. I'm Millie”


Rose could faintly hear a very familiar scream in her ears, and sure enough, the impatient guest was Millie.


Rose immediately opened the door for Millie, who knew there was news about Tom?

Is Tom back yet?

When the door opened, Rose saw only Rose and Nathaniel. Her Netra continues to jail looking to see if her husband is there, but nothing. No, Tom!


"Did you guys come here with Tom?" she asked.


"No, I mean no. But we're here to tell you that Tom is sick in the palace. Tom needs you, Rose!” Millie explained frantically.


Rose was very shocked!


"I wanted to see him," Rose said with a trembling body.


"Calm down, Rose. I will help you to meet Tom. Let Millie look after Leo. We don't have much time,” Nathaniel said with a look of no less panic.


Rose quickly nodded her head. She wanted to know the condition of her husband. "Yes, hurry up and hurry to the palace. I'll take care of Leo. Tom needs you, Rose,” said Millie.


After making sure Leo was safe, Rose immediately followed Nathaniel to Megana's Kingdon. She was already afraid and worried when she found out that her husband was sick and helpless.
