Chapter 34. Tom's leadership

"Uh, my grandson," said Dewi while holding Leo in her lap.

Currently, Rose's parents are visiting their home. It looked like Leo was very happy with the arrival of Dewi and Damar.


"How are you? I haven't seen you in a long time," said Mr. Damar to Tom.

Dewi narrowed her eyes when she saw Tom's suspicious accent. Without answering the son-in-law's question, Dewi just walked up the stairs to go to Rose's room.


"Is there anything you're hiding, Tom?" asked Mr. Damar with a serious face.


Tom stuttered, he didn't know what to say to his father-in-law. Hopefully, it's Leo!


If only Leo had kept quiet, his in-laws wouldn't have suspected him like this. Tom exhaled exasperatedly and then went to meet his wife who was in the room.


Meanwhile, Dewi immediately made the door to her daughter's room. Dewi was silent for a few seconds when she found Rose who almost wanted to get out of bed with a very difficult situation to explain.


Tom also stopped from his steps when he saw his father-in-law as if he was in shock at what he had just seen. “M-mm. W-why what? Is there anything you need?" asked Rose nervously.


The woman tried to cover her innocent body with her thick blanket, but it was undeniable, there were reddish marks all over her daughter's neck.


"Ah, nothing. Yes, I'm just looking for you," Dewi said uncomfortably. Then the middle-aged woman closed Rose's bedroom door again.


While Rose inside kept cursing Tom, she blamed Tom, because of To, Rose became embarrassed like this.

Dewi walked down the stairs again still with Leo in her arms. "You don't remember the time," Dewi said as she passed Tom's body, who was silent in astonishment.


Tom immediately made his face embarrassed. For whatever reason! He was so embarrassed right now. Why does his mother-in-law want to know so?

Besides, he wouldn't hurt Rose either!


"What is it?" Damar asked his wife.


"Ah, it turns out that it's young people's business," said Dewi with a teasing smile toward Tom.


Tom suddenly scratched the back of his itchy head. "You, look at Tom's face, very red," teased Damar. Wanted to leave and disappear from this situation, but there was no way! Tom tried to stay relaxed and join in the fun again.


It was getting late, and Rose's parents were ready to say goodbye to go home. "Leo little brother, it seems Leo is lonely," Dewi said seductively while looking at Tom and also Rose who was standing next to her husband.


Tom just smiled stiffly, he just wanted to say his parents were home, not to get teased by his mother.

"Okay, let's go home. Don't keep teasing them," warned Damar.


"Let's go home first. Take good care of yourselves," continued Damar again.


“Grandma, visit often, Grandma. I want to play with Granny longer,” Leo said while looking at Dewi and Damar in turn.


Damar looked fondly at his handsome grandson. It's really sad, it looks like Tom needs a friend at home.


"What if tomorrow you stay at Grandpa's house, boy? Grandpa will take you to the garden later. There are lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Want to?" Damar offered it to his grandson.


But quickly Leo covered his mouth with his hands and quickly flooded. He hates fruit, especially vegetables! Rose always cooks Tom and Leo meat, if Rose cooks vegetables, you can be sure the two men won't want to touch them.


"I don't like vegetables, they don't taste good, Grandpa," said the little man.


"But by eating vegetables you can be healthy," said the grandmother.


But Leo shook his man quickly. After all, who likes vegetables? What freak is that?

According to Leo, the worst food is vegetables, no matter what they do they still taste like grass!


"You bad boy," Dewi joked to Leo.


"Yes, yes, it looks like it's going to rain, mom and dad have to go home quickly," continued Dewi again.


After getting answers from Rose and Tom, Dewi immediately got into the car to go home followed by Damar.


Rose exhaled heavily, she did feel very tired this time. Tom, who saw Rose with a sluggish face, immediately pulled Rose to the sofa and sat down to rest there.


"Do you need anything?" asked Tom in turn.


“No, Tom. I just want to rest.”


"Daddy, the mother has guests!" shouted Leo as he ran over to Tom and Rose who were still in the living room.


Confused? Of course!


Who is going to ask? But Tom's confusion had been answered when Nathaniel and Millie entered their room with a smile that always adorned his lips.


"How are you, Rose?" asked Millie as she sat down beside Rose. "I'm fine, how about you?" asked Rose back.


“Tom! How can you fight Arcyl without me?” asked Nathaniel in an annoyed tone.


"It's not like that, it's just that your condition was not possible at that time. I don't want to be rash to sort you out," said Tom.


Indeed after the war and when fighting Arcyl. Nathaniel's condition became weak, which made Tom inevitably have to devise his strategy.

"Yes, Tom. Take that power, we will welcome you and your little family Tom later. The banquet has also been prepared,” said Millie happily.


Tom glanced at Millie and Nathaniel, they were right. Tom still has Rose and Leo to make them happy. Isn't Rose already her people? Rose should want to enter more into Tom's life.


Tom looked at Rose, without realizing that Tom was also looking at him. Rose reviewed her sweet smile, then nodded slowly which made Tom smile his part too.


"You guys come tonight for the banquet, I'm waiting for you!" said Millie happily.

The night has done its job, and now Rose and Leo are in Megana to accompany Tom who will be crowned as their new leader. Rose looked at her husband proudly. This has been long awaited, namely the destruction of Arcyl.


And now everything is running smoothly, happy smiles never fade from Rose and Leo's lips


After the coronation, Tom immediately approached his wife and his son who had officially become queens and authors at Megana. "You look very beautiful, honey," Tom said while stroking Rose's cheek gently.


Their clothes had been specially prepared, Tom in a red and black robe and Rose in a red dress. How charming!


While the son wears a sky-blue dress that makes him look very handsome. But wait!


Where's Leo?


"Honey, where's Leo?" asked Tom, panicking when he didn't find his son beside him. The feeling he had just seen his son next to Rose. But where has the little prince gone?


"He's with Millie," Rose answered while pointing at Leo who was walking with Millie.


Tom immediately breathed a sigh of relief when he found out that his son was fine. Tom's bad things happen to Leo, especially in a very crowded palace.


“Honey, can we still go home after this? I'm afraid my parents are looking for us,” Rose asked her husband.



"Of course, you can, we just need to serve here, dear."


Rose was confused by Tom's words.


Of course!


What did that man mean? Devotion?


Will there be a time limit until he is declared to have served?


But Rose doesn't want to bother, as long as she can go home and meet her parents it's not a problem. She would lie to her parents to go out of town. That seems like a great idea!


Rose' netra stared at Tom, who suddenly fell silent. Rose knew that her husband must have been screaming for his mother who had died. Tom is still very fascinated by it all. “Tom.”


"After hundreds of years I was with my mother, she finally left me," said Tom suddenly.


“Your mother has calmed down, Tom. Moreover, you have succeeded in destroying Arcyl. I'm sure your mother would be proud of you” Rose said while patting her husband's back trying to calm him down.


Tom smiled sadly. He is really happy living with Rose!

Rose looked at Tom with a teasing smile. "Have I married an old man who is hundreds of years old?" she asked.


"But my face still looks young and my stamina can't be doubted, right?"


"Then how many times have you been married except to me, Tom?" asked Rose curiously.


"Only once and hope this is also the last time," Tom answered firmly which made Rose smile sweetly.


And after that, the two of them took part in the banquet by exchanging jokes between them. Maybe this does look like a happy ending, but we will never know what storm is waiting for us out there.
