Chapter 32. Leo's Trouble

After the incident Leo got into a fight at his school, thus pushing and making his friend's head bleed. Now Leo walked home with a tired face.

The reason is after that one of Leo's classmates called the teacher. Until the teacher came and scolded Leo and Lucas.

The two of them were taken to the counseling guidance room, with Lucas being treated by the teacher. When the two of them were asked by the teacher why they were fighting, they argued and annoyed the teacher.

Finally, the teacher made a letter calling their parents of them and the teacher told them both to go home first.

"I'm sure mom and dad will be mad when they get this letter," muttered Leo staring at the parent's summons in his hand.

"I'd better hide this letter. If tomorrow the teacher asks, just say mom and dad don't want to come. That's better than me being scolded by mom and dad," Leo monologues.

Leo opened his bag and took out one of his books. Then, he put the letter in the book, closed the book, and put it in the bag.

After that, Leo exhaled. "Finished."

Leo ran to his house. "Mom, dad, Leo's home!" shouted Leo, meaning that Rose and Tom would come to welcome him home.

"Oh, Leo, how come you're home already?" asked Tom in surprise. It's still 9 o'clock, and Leo's school time is 11 o'clock. So, why is Leo already home?

"Did your teacher have a meeting so you came home early?" Rose asked taking Leo's bag, to take it inside.

They went inside and sat down on the chairs.

"No mom, but my head hurts. That's why the teacher told me to go home first," Leo answered lyingly, he held his head as if his head hurt.

Rose looked at Leo worriedly. "Then let's rest in our room. Tom, hold Leo please," Rose said to Tom.

Tom nodded, then he carried Leo into the room and laid Leo's body on the bed.

Rose held Leo's forehead with her palm, making sure it was hot or not.

"It's Not hot," said Rose suddenly. Rose and Tom looked at Leo in unison.

Leo was scared, he was afraid that his lie would be exposed, and in the end, his mother and father would be angry and would not love him anymore.

That's what Leo was afraid of.

Leo wasn't afraid of being scolded by Lucas' parents or being punished by the teacher.

Leo was just afraid that Rose and Tom would be mad at him and not love him anymore.

"Because I don't have a fever, mother. I just have a headache," Leo answered casually.

Yet in his heart he was afraid.

"Ah, yes. Sorry, I forgot. Come here, let's massage your head, then go to sleep."

Rose started massaging Leo's head until Leo fell asleep without realizing it.

Rose smiled as Leo fell asleep as massaged his head. She kissed Leo's forehead.

"Tom, is there something Leo is thinking, huh? It makes his head hurt," Rose said to Tom.

Tom looked at the sleeping Leo. "When he left for school, he was fine and he was very excited to go to school," explained Tom, making Rose confused.

"And now, he's complaining that he has a headache?" Tom continued looking at Rose in wonder.

"Ah, maybe just a headache as usual," said Rose doubtfully.

"I'm not sure," replied Tom unsure.

Needless to say, the day has passed. Now night had come, and Leo was still asleep.

Rose and Tom looked at Leo who was fast asleep.

"Seeing Leo sleeping longer than usual made me believe he was sick," she chirps.

Tom didn't agree with Rose's words, Tom himself wasn't sure that Leo was sick.

Rose and Tom know that since he was little Leo has never been sick except for being hit by a sharp object like a knife.

That made Rose and Tom confused.

"Leo, come on, wake up. You haven't eaten since lunch," Rose said trying to wake Leo up.

Rose shook Leo's hand gently.

Feeling his body being shaken, Leo opened his eyes.

"Leo, you have to eat first, then continue sleeping. You haven't eaten since noon," Rose said taking food and drinking.

"Come on, sit down first,"

Leo followed his mother's words, he sat with his body leaning back.

"Now, have a drink. Mommy will feed you."

After drinking, Leo opened his mouth for the first mouthful.

Until the last mouthful, Leo gulped down his drink until he was empty.

"You can sleep again," Rose said. Leo lay down again.

As for Rose, she was opening Leo's books. I'm afraid there's homework that Leo forgot.

While opening one of Leo's books, a piece of paper fell out. Rose took the paper and read it carefully. Rose's expression immediately changed.

The change in Rose's face made Tom confused. Tom approached Rose.

Rose handed the piece of paper to Tom. "Read," said Rose commanded.

After reading the contents of that piece of paper. Tom stared at Leo who closed his eyes flatly.

"Leo," called Tom

Since Leo wasn't fully asleep yet, he opened his eyes when he heard Tom's call.

"Yes, dad?"

"Parents summons? You fought with your friend?" he asked.

"You lied to us by saying that you came home early because you were sick? When the truth is because you got into a fight with your classmate?"

Leo's face immediately turned to worry. Did his mom and dad find the paper?

Leo looked at his father. And sure enough, his father was holding the paper. Leo's body immediately shook with fear. His mother and father looked very angry. Leo is afraid that after this they will not love him anymore.

Leo lowered his head. "Sorry mom, dad," Leo said in a low voice.

“Why did you lie to us? Isn't Leo a good boy? Then why did Leo lie to mom and dad?” asked Rose trying to hold back her anger.

Rose told me she hates being lied to.

Leo didn't answer, he just looked down in fear.

Seeing Leo who didn't want to answer. Tom replied, "Answer your questions, Leo," scold Tom.

Leo shed tears while still looking down, now his body trembled even more violently. Leo was scared.

Rose, who saw Leo's body shaking violently, tried to suppress her anger. She sat beside Leo, her hand stroking Leo's back.

"Sorry mom, dad. I did that because I was afraid that mom and dad would be angry with me and not love Leo anymore," Leo said explaining while crying.

"Of course we are angry. If you already know that, why are you fighting?” he asked.

“It wasn't me who started it, it was Lucas. Lucas interrupts me while writing, I've told Lucas to be quiet and don't interrupt my writing. But Lucas didn't listen to me. Because I was annoyed, I spoke loudly, then Lucas answered by pointing at me. I didn't accept it, I just pushed him away until he hit the table and his head was bleeding."

Hearing Leo's explanation, made Rose surprised. While Tom looked at Leo proudly, even so, Tom did not justify his son's behavior that had hurt his friend.

"Bloody? Leo may be angry, but don't let his friends get hurt. If possible, just tell the teacher." Rose said giving advice. She did not want his son to do evil.

"No, Rose. Leo has to get angry if someone bothers him. But, Leo also doesn't have to make your friend bleed, father doesn't justify your behavior like this," said Tom

"But, mom and dad will still love Leo, right?" he asked. He was really scared.

Rose cupped Leo's face and stared at him. “Of course, mom and dad love Leo. But, don't be like that again, OK?"

He nodded. It's okay he was scolded, at least his mother and father still love him.

The next day. Leo came to school with Rose and Tom to fulfill the parent's summons. The three of them were directed to enter the BK room.

There, there was already a teacher and Lucas and Lucas's parents.

"Please sit down ma'am, sir," said the teacher welcome.

"In advance, thank you for fulfilling our summons. So it's like this mother, father. Leo and Lucas fought yesterday until Leo made Lucas' head bleed," said the teacher explaining Lucas' situation.

"But, can Leo and Lucas explain what happened?" asked the teacher asking Leo and Lucas to explain.

When Leo was about to explain, Lucas spoke first. "Leo spoke to me in a loud tone, Mom. And after that Leo pushed me until I hit my head and bled," Lucas explained.

Hearing Lucas' words, Leo glared. Lucas didn't explain the whole thing, Lucas only explained half and it seemed that he was guilty in the eyes of those who were there.

“Lucas only explained part of it, ma'am. Not all of it, he just told me about himself and made me look even more guilty here," Leo said in disbelief.

“Then Leo tries to fully explain.” Get the teacher.

Leo nodded his head and started to explain, “It wasn't me who started it, but Lucas. Lucas interrupts me while writing, I've told Lucas to be quiet and don't interrupt my writing. But Lucas didn't listen to him. Because I was annoyed, I spoke loudly, then Lucas answered by pointing at me. I didn't accept it, I just pushed him away until he hit the table and his head was bleeding," Leo said defensively.

"Lucas, why are you interrupting Leo, when Leo is writing?" the teacher asked Lucas.

"Because Leo I didn't get a ranking since Leo was in the same class as me, Leo always gets a ranking, and I don't. My friends make fun of me because of that,” Lucas answered while crying.

"Okay. For Lucas, if you feel your grades are dropping, put more effort into it and study harder. For Leo, I also don't justify your behavior that pushed Lucas until his head bled. So, we already know here, ma'am, sir. That both of them are wrong,” said the teacher to Leo's parents and also Lucas.

“In the future, please be even greater in educating their children. For the punishments to be balanced, Leo and Lucas were forced to be expelled from school. I'm sorry," said the teacher making a decision, and fortunately everyone accepted the teacher's decision.

After receiving a decision from the school, Rose and Tom decided not to send Leo to school just yet. They will wait for Leo to grow up a little more for school, and they also prepare books for Leo to study at home. Leo accepts well the decision of his parents.
