Chapter 29. Failed

Currently, Tom is getting ready to fight Arcyl. Of course that made Rose worry them riled. What if later her husband is okay?


"Tom is there no other way I'm afraid you're okay," Rose said worriedly.

Tom looked at his wife with a sweet smile, it couldn't be denied, he was very happy when Rose was worried about him, but he still had to carry out this mission.


His mother is in Arsyil's hands and Tom will not stay silent, he will save his mother and paralyze Arcyl.


"No need to worry, honey, I'll be fine, I promise I'll be back soon," he said, stroking Rose's mane lovingly.


But instead of feeling calm, Rose felt scared and worried. What if Tom doesn't come back later? Like before?


"Tom, I'm afraid you're okay. May I come along?”


Tom was shocked to hear his wife's words. Seriously?


Does she want to go with Tom?


What about Leo later? Besides, Tom wasn't going to let Rose take part in this damn mission either.


"Hey, if you come along, then who will take care of Leo?" asked Tom gently.


"But Tom, I'm afraid you're okay. I'm afraid you'll get hurt and I'm afraid you-"


Rose's words were cut off when her lips were pressed against Tom's. After feeling his wife silent, Tom immediately turned his face away. "Calm yourself, honey. I will be back. I promise you, I'll be back,” said Tom affectionately.


Rose couldn't help but agree with Tom's words. She hoped Tom would be back soon.


After saying goodbye to Rose, Tom immediately gathered at the border with his troops. Of course to paralyze Arcyl and look for his mother.


Nathaniel managed to find 83 personnel and Tom and Millie were able to find 232 personnel. Tom hopes this is enough to make Arcyl lose.


It didn't take long to wait, now they were at Megana's palace. Without waiting long, Tom's troops spread out and attacked suddenly.


Fist fights occurred all over the palace. But suddenly Arcyl came with a smirk.


“What else do you want to do? Trying to rebel from me?” asked Arcyl with a smirk.


Arcyl comes with a lot of troops behind him, ready to block if Tom's troop's attack. Seriously, Tom wouldn't have expected it to be like this.


Is it a sign that he will lose on this battlefield?


"Why do you still want to be on Arcyl's side? Isn't that very detrimental?” said Millie with a slight shout at the bodyguard Arcyl.


But no one seems to be listening to Millie. It was evident from the unmoved Arcyl troops.


Arcyl smiled mockingly at Tom. "Attack!" Arcyl ordered his troops.


Nathaniel tries to protect Millie from the Arcyl troop attack. Of course, they were very overwhelmed, Tom's troops were not comparable to Arcyl's troops.


Arcyl only saw Tom and Nathaniel who was beaten up. Millie? I don't know where the woman went. What was clear was that there were only Nathaniel and Tom who were lying helpless, not forgetting the troops they brought with them.


"Stop, that's enough. I don't want to see them die yet,” said Arcyl mockingly.


Tom's body felt like it was all crushed, Tom could only see Arcyl sadly. His head suddenly hurt a lot. Maybe because of the effect of the beam that hit on him earlier.


"Who do you think wants to destroy me, huh?!" shouted Arcyl angrily.


“Take them to the dungeon!” Arcyl ordered.


Immediately they were dragged into prison. Tom's body was very weak, even if he wanted to fight it was useless, and he would still lose.

"I've promised my wife to come back quickly," Tom said softly.

Nathaniel's condition was no less pathetic. He was looking for Millie who had not been seen since earlier.


"Tom, where's Millie?!" asked Nathaniel frantically.


By this time the two of them were already in the cell as well as several other people. "Wasn't it with you?" he asked.


Nathaniel answered with a shake of the head. He didn't know where Millie was, all that Nathaniel knew was that Millie was standing behind him, and Nathaniel was guarding Millie against the attacks of Arcyl's troops.


But suddenly the woman was not there with him. While amid each other's thoughts, suddenly the sound of the cell door opening made those in the cell immediately blush toward the cell.


"Millie," Tom muttered in disbelief. How did that girl get there? Even intending to unlock the cell?


"How did you get there Millie?" asked Nathaniel in disbelief. “I was sneaking towards the kitchen assisted by Regina. Now hurry up and get out of here, Arcyl and his troops are gone. It seems they have important things to do,” Millie explained.

The clock shows 10 p.m. Rose was still waiting for Tom in the living room. Leo had been sleeping since 4 hours ago.

Rose's thoughts were suddenly broken when she heard a knock on the door. Rose went straight to the door of her house but did not immediately open it. "Rose," one said softly.


Tom immediately rolled his eyes and opened the door roughly. Sure enough!

Her husband is outside in a pitiful condition. "Tom, what happened to you?" Rose asked frantically.


Tom didn't answer Rose's question, the man just bumped into Rose's body and hugged her tightly.


Tom pushed open the living room door with his foot and locked it with one hand of his. The other still hugged Rose tightly.


"Tom, let me treat your wound first," said Rose.

Tom dropped Rose's body on the sofa. "Rose, it hurts," Tom whispered with a hunting breath.


Rose was panicked by Tom's words. "What do you need Tom?" She asked frantically.


"You," Tom answered softly.


"But your condition t-"


“You forgot that you are my medicine?” Tom asked Rose.


“B-but not here Tom. What if Leo wakes up and we don't have any of us to look after him?”


Tom, who heard his wife's words, immediately carried Rose to his room. "Okay, you want to do it in the room, is that it?" Tom teased Rose.


Rose hid her face in her husband's broad chest. Why is Tom so annoying? Even though his condition was not very good.

Rose had just woken up from her sleep, her body felt stiff all over. It's hard to just move. Of course, this is Tom's doing. So who else?


Rose glanced to the side, but Rose did not find anyone. Where did the son and husband go?


"Morning honey," Tom said suddenly appearing from the doorway with a tray of milk and Leo who was smiling happily in his arms. "Morning show," Leo said excitedly following his father's words.

"Drink, I'm sorry I made you tired," Tom said while putting the glass of milk on the nightstand right beside Rose.


Rose smiled sweetly as she looked at her husband. "Below there is Mrs. Karen," said Tom again.


"Is it true? What's the time now?"


"10 o'clock," Tom said lightly.


Rose rolled her eyes in surprise, why could she wake up so late? Usually, she would wake up late at 8 in the morning.


Rose also realized that her son was neat, it looked like he had taken a bath. Rose flashed a faint smile. Then looked at Tom. "I'm sorry, I overslept," Rose said uncomfortably.


Tom kissed Rose's cheek fondly, “Why should I apologize? Clean yourself, and we eat together,” said Tom softly.


"Well come on, we down," said Leo lisp, pulling the shirt that Tom was wearing.


"Where are you going?" asked Tom gently.


“Down Well, Leo wants to go down. Leo lapping," said the handsome man with exasperation.


Leo is already a little fluent in speaking, this handsome man can also walk. But being able to be with Tom, he will always stick without wanting to get off his arms. "Okay, let's eat!" asked Tom.


"Leo wants to eat the chicken in front," said the little man, which surprised Rose.


The chicken Leo was referring to was his neighbor's pet chicken. She was silent for a moment. After all, Leo still has wolf blood flowing in his body.


It is undeniable that he must also thirst for blood.

While Rose, sometimes she is the same, Rose will not do that. Rose doesn't want to eat a whole chicken, especially when it's raw!


Tom looked at Rose timidly. What if Rose doesn't want to accept her fate?


“Leo, how can you eat it? Your teeth aren't much," Rose advised.


“He will only drink his blood, Rose. I think so,” said Tom carefully.


Rose took a deep breath. Rose has accepted her fate, but it still feels strange.


Rose's Netra looked at Tom who seemed worried. "Tom, what if someone sees?" asked Rose carefully. Especially at the bottom, there is Karen's mother. It's also impossible for them to feed a whole chicken when Mrs. Karen is around.

“I have accepted my fate, Tom. It doesn't matter, the important thing is that Leo doesn't get caught eating the whole chicken,” Rose replied, looking at Tom with a faint smile.


“Rose? I thought you would be mad at me,” Tom said sadly.

"What for? I'll clean my body first, and I'll treat your wound” Rose said while trying to get out of bed.


“Yeah, yeah come on mommy.”


Tom looked at the child who asked him to immediately get his food. Tom kissed Leo's cheek fondly. "Okay, let's eat," said Tom to the child.


After that Leo and Tom went down the stairs. Rose was also getting ready to take a shower and meet Mrs. Karen after that she was going to treat Tom's wound.


What Rose knows is that Tom always uses traditional medicine instead of going to the doctor. Rose doesn't know why either. But maybe the doctor who examined him could tell that Tom wasn't human.


Especially Tom's blood is blue. How will the doctors respond? So while living with Tom, Rose studied traditional medicines.


Unknowingly, Rose's smile grew. Tom was driving himself crazy with his attitude. Isn't Rose very lucky to meet a man as good as Tom?
