Chapter 30. Worried

Rose looked at Tom with a sad look. She didn't want her husband to get hurt anymore, Tom had just recovered. Because of that, Rose tried to talk to Tom to make suggestions.


"Tom, what if I will help you? Wouldn't that be better? We can attack Arcyl together so he loses," suggested Rose trying to offer help.


Rose couldn't let Tom try to attack Arcyl alone after Tom was injured so many times because he lost.


Tom's strength is not as strong as Arcyl's. But, if Rose helps, maybe they can win. Yes, even though he wasn't sure he would win.


"No, I'm not allowing you to help me," refuse Tom disagrees.


How could Tom allow Rose to help him? Tom is afraid that Rose will get hurt later. After all, he didn't fight Arcyl himself. He will go with Nathaniel later.


Tom didn't want Rose to get hurt later.


Bringing Rose to come with him threatens Rose's safety.


Rose should know that.


"But, if we fight Arcyl both of us might not lose, Tom," she explained.


Tom still didn't agree. "No, I'm afraid you'll get hurt. It's dangerous there, Arcyl's strength is great, it might hurt you when I'm attacking them." Tom said explaining so that Rose knows he cares about Rose's safety.


It's impossible, isn't it, if Rose helps her, they will go home in good condition.


That's impossible.


Tom knows Arcyl's character, he won't let his enemy go without getting hurt. Therefore, Tom did not allow Rose to come along. It's only him who gets hurt, not Rose and Leo.


"Precisely because it's dangerous there I want to help you. If you don't allow me, what if you get hurt there? I'm really worried here, Tom." Rose explained. Tom must know if he leaves, Rose is here to worry about.


Tom took Rose's hand. "Rose, listen to what I have to say. I just want you to be okay, this is also for your safety. You just need to keep Leo at home." Tom explained, he had to make Rose understand.


Leo is still a kid too if Rose helps with his plans. How about Leo? Who will look after it? It's impossible not if they leave Leo alone at home? Or even they will bring Leo? It could threaten Leo's safety.


After all, Rose must have understood what he was saying.


Rose exhaled. "Yes, it's up to you. But, promise me to come home in good condition." Rose ordered resignedly.


"I can't promise, but of course, I'm going to have some injuries on my body. Because it's a fight, not a meeting to relax and then eat." retorted Tom, who was rewarded with a pinch on the arm by Rose


"That's not what I meant," said Rose, unable to say anything more, hearing Tom's answer.


Tom chuckled at Rose's expression. “Yes, I see what you mean. I will try to live up to your words.” Tom said, making Rose smile.


“Then let's play with Leo. He must miss his father.” Invite Rose.


Tom stared at Rose closely. “The missing Leo or his mother?” chirped Tom.


Rose pinched Tom's arm again.


Tom winced in pain. "Why are you so fond of pinching me, Rose?" he asked.


"I told you, your body is good to be pinched."


Tom looked at Rose in horror. "Why is that?" asked Tom who looked at Rose timidly.


"Why are you looking at me with that look?" asked Rose grumpily. Because Tom was looking at her with a frightened look.


"Ah well, I'm lazy with you. I'd rather just play with Leo," said Rose going to where Leo was.


“I was only kidding, Rose!” Tom said loudly for Rose to hear.

Tom caught up with Rose who looked annoyed with him. Tom stepped with his lips still smiling because he managed to irritate Rose.


Morning has arrived, and the sun has appeared with its beautiful rays as if it is welcoming you tenderly.


Rose opened her eyes as the sunlight began to enter her room. The first thing he saw was Tom who was fast asleep and Leo who was awake, Leo looked at him with his cute smile.


"Mom!" Leo said in a slightly high tone when he saw Rose open her eyes.


Rose looked at Leo with a smile, she put her index finger on her lips instantly. "Don't be loud, Leo. Your father is sleeping," Rose said slowly.


Leo nodded and Rose smiled at him. He kissed Leo's forehead.


"Mom wants to go to the kitchen first, okay? Want to cook, Leo just stays here with daddy," Rose orders. Leo nodded in understanding.


"Later when daddy wakes up, tell him to go to the kitchen okay," she continued. Once again, Leo nodded in understanding at his mother's order.


Seeing Leo follow his words. Rose got off the bed, and walked out of the room to the kitchen. Skillfully, Rose chopped the ingredients and cooked them.


Meanwhile, in the room, Leo looked at his father who was sleeping with his head resting on his arm. If Rose saw her child posing adorable like this, Rose would certainly pinch Leo's cheeks until they stretch.


"Dad when will you wake up?" he muttered wonderingly. He was tired and tired of lying in bed while waiting for Tom to wake up. Leo wanted to get out there and play.


Naughtily, Leo poked Tom's strong arm. Not just once, Leo did it several times to wake up his father. However, his father did not wake up. This irritated Leo.


Annoyed, Leo sat on Tom's stomach. “Dad wake up! Daddy wake up! Daddy wake up!” shouted Leo, Leo said that over and over again.


He felt his stomach being hit by an object so that it felt heavy, and heard a very noisy sound. Tom opened his eyes.


He looked at his stomach. There was Leo who was sitting on his stomach while laughing. Instead of being angry, Tom smiled broadly.


Tom picked Leo up and kissed his forehead. "Leo, where's mom?" he asked.


"Earlier mom said she was going to the kitchen, then mom said if daddy wakes up tell her to go to the kitchen," Leo replied looking at Tom with a funny wink.


Tom kissed Leo hard on the cheek. "Okay, let's go to the kitchen."


Tom walked towards the kitchen. There was Rose who was preparing food on the table. Tom approached Rose.


“Rose, has Nathaniel come yet?” asked Tom when he was near Rose.


Rose shook her head as she answered, “Not yet, you better eat before you leave. To be stronger," answered Rose.


After finishing her activities, Rose looked at Leo who was in Tom's arms. "Leo, come here. Dad will eat first, and Leo should eat too,” Rose said as she spread her arms.


Rose took Leo into her arms. They sat on the dining chairs. Rose feeds Leo after getting Tom's food.


After they finished eating, they sat together in the living room.


"Tom, how about you just don't have to go?" Rose asked Tom who was holding Leo on his lap.


Rose wanted Tom to reconsider his plans. Rose wanted Tom not to leave and feel that he was here alone accompanying her and Leo. Of course, as a wife, Rose would be worried if her husband was doing something wrong.

Rose wants Tom to have nothing more to do with Arcyl.


Let the events of yesterday that had to do with Arcyl, become history for the ups and downs of her life. Rose didn't want Tom to continue dealing with Arcyl.


"No, Rose. I have to go, I want Arcyl to lose and we can live a quieter life than this with Leo." Tom replied trying to give understanding to Rose so that Rose would not make a big deal out of this.


It turns out that Rose still hopes that she won't go to war with Arcyl. Tom thought Rose had agreed and didn't mind it anymore.


"Tom, think about it first. Reconsider your decision," Rose said, hoping Tom would change his mind.


Tom sighed. "Rose, understand. I'm going too for our good, so we can live life as usual. It's not like this, even now I'm still afraid that you and Leo are bothered by Arcyl or his men," said Tom.


"I'm afraid you'll be in trouble if you leave later," Rose answered in a low tone.


Tom smiled knowingly, he stroked Rose's hair. "I didn't promise that I wouldn't get hurt if I came home, but I promised that I would come home to be with you and Leo too," said Tom, a smile forming on Tom's face, convincing Rose to let him go.


"Okay, I keep your promise," Rose said doubtfully. Even if Rose wasn't sure.


Meeting Arcyl several times, made Rose understand Arcyl's selfish and cruel nature a little. Rose was afraid that if she let Tom go, she would never see Tom again.


“Tom, are you ready? We're going now,” said Nathaniel who had just entered their house. Nathaniel just arrived.


Seeing that Nathaniel had come, Tom got ready to leave. "I'll go first, Rose," Tom said goodbye and kissed Rose and Leo on the forehead, then quickly left with Nathaniel.


"BE CAREFUL!" Rose shouted to Tom and Nathaniel who weren't too far away. Even though in her little heart, she told Rose to hold Tom so he wouldn't leave. However, Rose couldn't restrain Tom and thwart the plans that Tom had been making with Nathaniel.


Rose looked at Leo who was busy playing with his toys. Feeling stared at, Leo looked back at his mother. Rose smiled at Leo.


Leo returned Rose's smile with his cute smile. "You sad? Why?" the question just came out of Leo's small mouth.


Hearing Leo's question, Rose gasped. How could someone as small as Leo understand how people felt? Because he had never found a child who was sensitive to someone's feelings unless that person expressed his feelings.


She shook her head. "No, I am not sad. Leo wants to play with mom?” Rose asked gently changing the topic of Leo's conversation.


Maybe by playing with Leo, Rose can drive away the negative feelings in her heart.


Rose looked at Leo who was laughing while playing with her, he laughed too. Seeing Leo's face that was similar to Tom's, Rose remembered Tom. She just hoped Tom would be back as soon as possible safely. And they can live their lives in peace as before.


"Tom, come back quickly," please Rose in the heart.
