Chapter 23. The Full Moon

It's been 1 year since Tom and Regina have been living together and living their lives as humans. Rose had accepted them completely without hesitation. Rose treated them very well. Regina is lucky to have a daughter-in-law like Rose.


"What are you doing?" asked Rose who had just come out of the bathroom. She saw Leo playing with Tom on the bed.


Leo replied with a chatter. "See, he loves to speak incoherently like you," quipped Tom.


Of course that made Rose look at Tom angrily. "What did you say?" Rose asked in a low voice.


Tom smiled broadly, “Why to be angry? I was just kidding earlier," said Tom.


"You're so annoying," Rose said. Rose picked Leo up and rocked him, Leo smiled happily at Rose.


"Rose, where are you going?" asked Tom when he saw Rose wanted to get out of his room with Leo.


Rose turned to Tom. "I want to invite Leo to play in the living room," Rose replied with Leo who was playing with his shirt buttons.


"Just let me, take care of anything that's not finished, if it's all done we should play with Leo," said Tom.


Tom walked over to Rose and took Leo for him to carry. Leo looks happy when Tom is holding him.


Rose held Leo's hand, she brought her face closer to Leo who was in Tom's arms. “Hey Leo, are you happy being carried by your father?” Rose asked, Leo, patted Rose's cheek with his tiny hand.


"So you'd rather play with your dad than with mom, is that it?" Rose pinched Leo's cheek.


Tom didn't accept what Rose said. "No, he prefers to play with the two of us," Tom said correcting Rose's words.


"It's up to you. You invite Leo to play in the living room, I'll go wash the dishes for a while."


"Then I'll go first, bye mom," Tom raised Leo's hand to wave at Rose.


"The spirit of washing the dishes, yes," Tom said with a smile that Rose found annoying.


"Very annoying!" sneered Rose. She immediately went to the kitchen to wash the dishes.


Regina came out of her room, she headed to the kitchen. You can see Rose busy with kitchen work. "Rose, where is Tom?" Regina asked Rose.


Rose who was washing dishes turned to Regina. "Tom is playing with Leo, mom," she answered.


"You go after Tom and Leo, let mom do this," Regina said so that Rose could have more time for Leo and Tom.


When Regina wanted to take over Rose's job, Rose quickly refused. Rose didn't want to bother her mother-in-law.


"Ah, no need, ma'am." Refuse Rose is not feeling well.


Rose doesn't feel comfortable playing with her husband and her son while Regina is in the kitchen washing the dishes.


"Okay, how about we wash them together?" asked Regina giving her opinion, she also felt uncomfortable if all of Rose's homework was left to do.


Rose nodded in agreement. They finish the job together. With Rose doing the washing up and Regina putting away the dishes.


"Rose, you just have to catch up with Tom and Leo, okay?" Regina said goodbye to Rose when she was done with her activities.


"Yes, ma'am." Answer Rose. Regina doesn't need to help Rose, because Rose can do everything. But maybe Regina also felt bad for herself.


After getting an answer from Rose, Regina caught up with Tom who was playing with Leo.

"Leo," Regina called. Leo turned when he heard his grandmother calling him. Leo smiled when he found his grandmother approaching him.


"Leo smiles at grandma. Leo loves playing with grandma, huh?" she asked.


Leo responded with babbling. Leo crawled to his grandmother, and Regina lifted Leo onto her lap.


Tom saw his mother playing with her son with pleasure. Now happiness has come to him. Everything has improved.


Rose sat beside Tom. "Tom?" called Rose.


Tom was silent, not answering Rose's call. Tom didn't hear him because he was preoccupied with his thoughts.


Annoyed that her calls weren't answered, Rose pinched Tom's arm. Instantly Tom was surprised, he looked at Rose beside him who was looking at him with annoyance


"Why did you pinch me? And since when were you here?" asked Tom in surprise.


"Why are you so happy daydreaming?" Rose replied, her face still showing annoyance.


"I'm not daydreaming, I'm just talking to my mind," answered Tom calmly.


"It's the same thing, Tom!"


Tom looked at Rose. "Yes yes yes, it's up to you," answered Tom resignedly.


Regina saw their little debate and chuckled. "You guys argue like kids. Isn't that right, Leo?"


Leo just stared at them with an innocent blink.


"See, she's so innocent." Rose chirps when Leo stares at her incomprehensible while blinking funny.


"Of course, my grandson is very cute," Regina replied pinching Leo's cheeks with excitement.


"Come on, it's getting late. Everyone should get some rest soon," said Tom.


They nodded in agreement. Rose took over Leo, she carried Leo into the room. It so happened that their room was next to Regina's.


"Leo sleeps, huh?" Rose said when Leo couldn't stay still in bed. She also carried Leo to rock him to sleep quickly.


It didn't take long for Leo to fall asleep. Rose put Leo in the middle between her and Tom.


"Rose?" call Tom.


"Yes? What is it?" Rose asked turning to Tom.


Tom smiled at Rose. “Rose, thank you for accepting everything,” Tom said looking at Rose with love.


Rose likes Tom's sweet nature as it is today. Rose loved everything about Tom. She had fallen under Tom's charm.


Tom smiled warmly. “Rose, thank you for accepting everything. And I'm sorry I let you down again and again." Said Tom sincerely.


Rose stared at Tom, she didn't like the sentence Tom said as if Tom had made many mistakes. "What are you talking about, I'm your wife. Of course, I will accept everything that concerns you, you don't talk like that. Everyone has made mistakes, even me.” Clear Rose with length. Tom watched his wife who was talking with a smile.


“Yes yes yes, basically I want to thank you for everything.”


"Me too. We just need to complement each other,” said Rose. Tom nodded. "Okay, go to sleep, you must be tired." Get Tom.


"You should sleep too."


Midnight has arrived. Tom felt his sleep disturbed, he was forced to open his eyes to do something.


Rose opened her eyes when she felt Tom's movement.


"Why are you awake? Do you need anything? Is something bothering you?" asked Rose successively.


"I-I can't control me," Tom said stuttering as if holding back something that would come out of his body.


Rose held Tom's shoulder. "Are you sick perhaps?" asked Rose worriedly.


Tom wasn't usually like this. This made Rose worried and confused about what had happened to Tom.

"My body hurts like something is going to come out," said Tom with a pained face.


Rose's bedroom door opened. It showed Regina who was in the same condition as Tom, was groaning in pain as if holding back something that was about to come out of her body.


"Mom, are you sick?" she asked.


Rose was afraid something would happen to her husband and mother-in-law. With their condition like this, Rose was confused about how to deal with this condition.


"Rose, look in the window. Is it a full moon?" Regina hurled at Rose.


Rose walked towards the window. pulled back the curtains of the window, to see the moon. There was a very beautiful full moon in the sky.


"Yes, ma'am. It's a full moon tonight," Rose replied.


Regina looked at Tom who was in the same pain as herself. "Rose looks like Tom and I are about to turn into wolves completely. Because we haven't been cultivating and not eating fresh blood for a long time," Regina spat.


Rose's body tensed, she was really confused and afraid of what to do in this condition. Rose was afraid that something would happen to them.


"So what do you guys have to do?" asked Rose trying to calm down. She shouldn't be afraid, she still has her son to look after tonight. If she's scared, who's going to look after her and Leo?


"We have to worship and eat fresh blood," are the last words from Regina before becoming a complete wolf.


Regina and Tom's bodies began to grow hair little by little, and Regina and Tom's bodies turned completely into wolves.


"You two go find what you need. And be careful no one finds out." Rose ordered worriedly.


Regina and Tom leave completely as wolves.


Rose looked at Regina and Tom sadly. She was climbing on the bed when she heard Leo's whimpering.


Rose hugged Leo, stroking Leo's back to make him fall back asleep. "Leo, you also feel worried about your grandmother and father? That's the same with your mother," Rose said to the whining Leo.


"Sleep, Leo. Don't be afraid, I will always hold you all night." Rose said hugging Leo tightly, so Leo wouldn't whine and feel warm and comfortable in her arms


Throughout the night, Rose hugged Leo who was sleeping, her hands did not stop patting Leo's back gently so that his son could fall asleep. Until the sound of a wolf roaring, Rose shed tears when she heard that sound, Rose couldn't hold back her tears hearing the sound of a wolf roaring. She remembered Tom and Regina.


"Tom, mom, come back soon. I'm really worried about you guys, I hope you're not hurt and are okay." Please Rose fearfully.


Rose was worried about her husband and mother-in-law, she was afraid they would get hurt. Meanwhile Rose herself could not help them. Rose could only hope that they would return home in good condition. Even though they just got together, laughing and joking together. Rose hopes that in the future there will be no more problems with her family, both small and big problems.


After all these problems are solved. Rose just wants to live in peace and be happy with them forever
