CHAPTER 47
She was going to spend as much time as possible with him. She was going to be busy once she returns back to Mereen. She had another internship with the company to go to.
Hours later the two sat on the couch in each other’s arms as they watched the TV. They still have an hour before their dinner appointment with their friends and it seemed like everyone was respecting each other’s afternoon activities and that was beautiful.
With him holding her like this, what more would she want? Harvey planted a kiss on top of her head and she smiled at that remark. This was really going to be a honeymoon before their wedding; she thought to herself and found herself smiling.

Henry sat anxiously in the private room he had booked earlier. He was getting into all kind of trouble, thanks to his two notorious children but there was nothing else he could do about it. All he wanted was happiness for his children.
If they were happy then he would die with no regrets. He wouldn’t want anyone to be forced into something they wouldn’t be willing to. He still remembered when he married his first wife; it wasn’t easy for him to marry her.
She wasn’t from a great family like his but he still loved her. He wanted to make her his even when his family was against it. He fought a lot and even ended up leaving his great family for the one woman he loved.
He started from the scratch so that he could build something that belongs to only him and his beautiful woman. He made it; he gave her a life he always wanted to give her. They had three beautiful children even though she passed away so abruptly.
It was difficult for him to forget her; he didn’t want his youngest to grow up without knowing a mother’s love. Without planning for it, he ended just falling for Grace, a naïve and hard working woman who only had a daughter with her. She was younger than him by far but she completed him in her own special way.
It wasn’t going to be easy for his family but he just wanted Harvey to love like he did. And if Ruby was his source of happiness then he was willing to take all the blame and ensure his children’s happiness.
The door suddenly got opened and his good friend walked in. Henry stood up to welcome Cain with a smile on his face.
“I was shocked to hear from you all of a sudden, I hope all is well my friend,” Cain said as he approached him.
Henry laughed seeing how the man just never changes.
“Hello to you too,” Henry said as he sat down.
“Forgive me for my lack of manners, you know how anxious I get sometimes,” Cain apologized as he sat down.
“I know that. So how was your journey?” Henry asked.
“It was a bit tiring but I am fine now that I see you. So, what was so urgent that you had to call me over?”
“Let’s just say I wanted to have a meal with you and catch up on old time,” Henry said.
“That’s very good.”
The servers came in after a while with their food and the food was served. Henry didn’t want to get straight to the point first, so he avoided the issue and talked about a lot of things with his old friend. It was after their meal when they were having some coffee when Cain looked at him.
“We have been friends for a very long time now and I know you better. Something seems to be eating you up. Just tell me, I can handle anything,” Cain said and Henry looked up at him.
“I’m afraid the issue is sensitive and it involves our kids,” Henry said.
“I hope Janet didn’t do anything.”
“No, she didn’t.”
“That’s good news, so what happened?” Cain asked.
“Do you remember back then when we got married to our wives?” Henry asked.
“How can I ever forget? It was the happiest day of my life,” Cain answered.
“It was for me too, both times and that is exactly what I want for both of our children.”
“What are you getting at Henry?”
“I am afraid that we have to cancel the arrangement we made for the kids,” Henry finally let it out.
“What going on here?” Cain asked and Henry could see his friend was confused and he had to clear out the issue before it got worse.
“I arranged the issue without listening to Harvey and because of that I put him into a very difficult situation. He has someone he loves and he is serious about her,” Henry said.
“Is that so? Who is that someone that is so important than my own daughter?” Henry could hear the fury in Cain’s voice when he asked the question.
“It’s Ruby, my step daughter. The two of them had been dating for quite a while now,” Henry told his friend.
Even if he hides it, it will still come out so it was better for him to just tell the truth than to hide at a time like this.
