The truth

"Sounds pretty broken to me don't you think?" He asked as he pulled her hand away from his collar.

"A queen does not rule in another man's land does she?" He asked again.

"I don't know what happened to you, I don't know what you thought of that scare you this greatly but whatever it is, I cannot say that I do not enjoy it" he laughed.

"This is how terrified you should be whenever you see me" he said while she stared into his eyes.

"Resent me, detest me, hate me" he said as he moved his face closer to hers.
"Fear me"

The tears tricked down her cheeks as he walked out the door, her breathing got heavier and unsteady.
The doors were left wild open such that anyone passing could see the lady crying, shattered.

On that ground Diane swore on her tears that she would never let anything happen to Luke, not if she could control it - no she would have to be able to control it, that was the least she could do for the man she loved.

"I'm sorry"

"For what? Neglecting me? Making it seem like I'm non existent? What exactly are you sorry for?" Rose questioned in reply to Luke's apology.
He had decided to apologize to her for the sake of their marriage.

"Everything" he said.

"Do you have even the slightest idea what everything is?" She asked.
"I don't need an apology from you Luke not if you are going to keep doing it" she continued.

"I heard you cried when left the hall"

"You heard.." She said in a frail voice.

"Look here I'm sure you must have been in love with someone before all this happened, surely you must know how I feel"

"What about how I feel? Hunh? Are they not meant to be understood too?" She asked.

"Whether you loved or not, you are married to me, bonded to me, I will not let myself shred to pieces because of a woman who is even now married" she deadpanned.

Luke did not reply instead he turned his back to walk out.

"You are just going to leave?" She asked

"I already did what I came here for" he replied still about to go.

"I don't know how it feels alright? I've only ever loved one person and that is my mate" she screamed behind him, her two fists clenched and a lone tear rolling down her cheek and falling to the floor.

"I'm sorry" he said as he exited the door not turning to watch her fall.

"I don't want your fucking apology, you take that to hell with you and that bitch" she cursed loudly at the empty doors crashing to the ground in search of solace, one she knew she might never find.

Luke felt a ton of guilty but more than that he felt helpless, his mind was clouded in thoughts, thoughts of how he would rescue her. He had already thought out a few things he could do to 'save her' but they all required a time length.

He went to the garden to stroll.

"Alpha Luke" Ocean Wales his beta walked up to him. The beta had his appointment during the month as the former beta did not bear a male child.

Ocean was quite good looking, he was tall, fairskinned, with a good body build and scarlett colour of eyes with a black mixed scarlett colour of hair. He also bailed from the third largest family in the pack the 'Wales' family, and his servitude impressed Luke leaving them on good terms since his appointment.

"The forming of alliance between the Full Moon pack and our pack is slowly coming into place and soon you will be required to meet with them to discuss war plans" Ocean said to Luke who did not reply instead he waved him off.

"Before I go, don't you consider it folly to go to war against The Evergreen pack?" He asked.

"Is it not more a folly to cower for fear of another pack?" He asked instead.

"If this is because of Mrs Diane, then you should understand that you are making a grave mistake, joining forces with someone who is as bloodthirsty as Alpha Golden will only wash on you, you'll change, and it still might not be enough to take down Ian"

"Do you forget that Ian made the mistake of stepping into our pack and beating up our men, those soldiers are yet to recover, what does that speak of me!"

"It means I am weak, that I am powerless, he steps into our pack totally going back on the ceasefire terms and threatens our member into marriage, I Luke Rowley as the Alpha of this pack will not stand for it" He said.


"If I may, our pack went back on the ceasefire terms first, if he had wished to claim Mrs Diane's life he could" Ocean stated in an 'as a matter of facts' manner.

"What do you mean?"

"Mrs Lee left the pack for a month shortly after your wedding, her mom said she had her go stay with a friend outside the pack so she could process her thoughts, I found out from Mrs Lee that she had Diane stay at one Mrs Raez house, the person in question is Mrs Lee own family friend and a member of the Evergreen pack, so technically our member broke the ceasefire term first and by sake of the treaty she should have been executed" he explained leaving Luke in shock.

"She did what?"

"Apparently the pain of your marriage was too much for her, she needed a change of environment, a place to gathet herself, Mrs Lee was well assured that she would not be discovered and the little we knew of her existence helped everything to fall in place" he said.

Luke looked furious on learning the truth he dashed off leaving Ocean in the garden.
