Selene
Her eyes searched the floor for what she had not lost, she wished the earth would open up and swallow her, she felt heavy under his scruntinizing gaze, her pulse was starting to feel weak like she would give out at any second. She had never been in the centre of attention before thus this was a discovery.
"So this is my mate" the Alpha disgusted voice sounded off forcing her to take a glimpse of him, the moment her eyes landed on him it felt like gravity was only focused on them, the earth was rotating differently and he was all she could see and truly at this point all she wanted to see.
"The Alp..."
"I reject you" Alex interrupted her, "But you do not even know my name" she scoffed.
"If i may know your reason for rejecting me when you do not even know me" she said.
"That mark" he pointed at the faint bite mark on her neck, "I've heard the tales of the one marked by the demons who crawled out of her dead mother's womb like a monster, that monster can never be my mate" he said to the hearing of people.
They had drawn a crowd to themselves, Defitri was on the verge of a breakdown, her only hope of survival and perhaps the reason she had come here in the first place was to find her fate and escape the pain life had always shown her who would have told her that this would cause her the greatest pain, the happiness she found at the thought of being fated to an Alpha had vanished...perhaps her mate was truly the devil but then why couldn't she live as the queen of hell.
Her eyes searched the surrounding, everyone looked at her with scorn and those who did not know the circumstance of her birth had been lucky to find out, there was no hope for her, not here in the very least.
She found her feet panting towards the nearest exit, she wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of rejecting her, she wasn't going to accept it, not yet, she would make everyone regret treating her this way and then face his rejection.
She kept running till she was at the pinnacle of it all.
"You run much?" A voice from behind said to her.
"Who are you?" she asked turning to the direction of the voice, a majestic looking woman sat on the edge of a wood, cladded in white robes that accentuated her hair, she shared similarities with Defitri the only difference was her completely white eyes.
"You are not a werewolf, neither are you human" Defitri analysed pulling backwards.
"I bear a message from your mom"
"What are you? A communicator to the dead? You know what don't answer that i do not care about that right now, as you can see I'm in a foul mood and would appreciate some quietness right now but if you got here first i understand and I'll excuse you so.." She was interrupted.
"In my lifetime i have seen a lot of rejected wolves but i do not expect a blessed Luna to cry over something as little as that.."
"How did you know about..did you follow me?" She asked believing that the majestic woman was an attendee of the mating gathering.
"Your rejection is fate Defitri likewise you are his fate, i bounded you to him from the moment he was born and you were non existent, do not bother with something as weak as rejection, I'm sure Damini did not give up her life to birth a weakling, power lies within your.."
"Who the hell do you think you are to mention my mother so easily"
"The one who gives life, the one who dragged you out from your mother's body, the one who made you, people call me the moon goddess but you can call me Selene" she said but her words were responded to with Defitri scorning laughter.
"You are going to need a whole lot more than just words to convince me Ms Selene" she added the Selene in air quotes.
"For an eighteen year old you sure are an unbeliever, you were born on the the sixth of July, the day of the great war, you mother died two minutes before your birth, you grew up rejected by your father and with your aunty who you knew deep down wished you never existed, on your fourth birthday your aunt Mariam pretended not to remember when she could never forget the say i could tell you your life story cause i wrote it Defitri"
"You wrote this ridiculous fate for me" Defitri loud voice passed a wave front through the forest stunning her, she had never done it before.
"If you would overlook this tiny ridiculous things you will see the fate i have written in stones for you"
"Ridiculous things? Did you just call everything I've been through ridiculous? How dare you? What did you think? That you'll reveal who you are and i will weasel my way to the ground to reverend you? I hate you, you are the worst diety in the world how could anyone ever reverend you, you are inconsiderate, a monster, a.." Selene hands fell on her head patting it, Defitri had been crying, her sensitive nose was red partially from the cold of the night.
"You suffered a lot, i should have protected you, it is fault, so stop hurting now" Selene admitted.
"I see it's true, that gods are never sorry" The words fell out from Defitri mouth "Well i wouldn't appreciate your apology anyways, i want it back"
"What?"
"My fate"
"I want my fate that you stole from me"
"I cannot steal what belongs to me, your existence is for the good of the Evergreen pack, you are going to be the saviour of this pack you will be its salvation"
"I have had enough, from here on i will do whatever it is i believe is right for me, Salvation? What a joke, I'll save myself first, and I'm done here"
"You are free to decide the fate you want but don't delude yourself into thinking your destiny can be changed, from here on it will be easy for you to navigate your route but once you return to me, you are sealed to me so go run away" Selene laughed.
"What do you mean"
"A hookline won't you take it? Run now or.." Selene did not have to complete her sentence before Defitri wolved out and fled.
"Where have you been"
