In the Villa.
"Truly it was like that when I met my soul mate" Ian said a bit lost.
"But such dreamy, magical and fairytale like love is nothing but a lie" he continued.
"Then your marriage to Lady Lilian.." Ares was about to ask when Ian cut in.
"Lilian and I are not mate" Ian said and Ares felt puzzled.
"Since you chose not to sign the treaty today I shall have someone escort you a resting chamber, if you would excuse me I have somewhere i need to be" Ian excused himself, leaving Ares stranded for a while before a servant came to attend to him, the servant showed him to a room and fixed up his bath while he was deluding in the thoughts of the woman who he had openly proposed to.
Ian felt restless as he turned on his bed constantly, his mind was yet to drift off the open confession Ares had made to Diane, as much as he believed in the impossibity of them coming together he knew it was very much possible, that it would happen if his relationship with Diane did not come into limelight.
But why was he struggling alone? Why was he bothering himself while Diane sleeps peacefully? He got off his bed and headed for her room, as he grabbed the knives the door slid open but Diane was not sleeping, Ian had considered the many places she could have escaped to, it took a while before he could water splashing on the ground, it was coming from the bathroom.
He heaved a breath of relief unknowingly and waited till he could no longer hear the water.
His heart skipped a beat as he watched Diane walk out of the bathroom, she was wearing a bathrobe that covered her skin up to her knees and a held a towel which she used to dry her wet hair, she had not immediately noticed his appearance but once she did her expression ran wild with terror.
She looked at the door to see if it had been shattered again but it was still in one piece.
"How did you get in?" She mustered the courage to ask.
"This is my house, I can walk through any door, but you didn't lock this one were you expecting Ares?" Ian asked angered.
Diane had totally forgotten about locking the door or better still she had no intention to, she was scared that she would be locked up again.
"You know you never cease to amaze me" Ian continued.
"First it was Alpha Luke and now you are being courted by Alpha Ares all the same being married to Alpha Ian" he said.
"So now I am married to you" she scoffed.
"I do not wish to hear Luke's name off your mouth, you are not deserving of calling his name, and as for Ares who knows the will of the Moon Goddess after all he is an Alpha and I am a proposed Luna, rule one way or the other" she said and Ian felt an instant spur of anger in his heart.
"It's funny how you looked like you would rather die than leave Luke and now you wish to be married to Ares, in the end you are just a power greedy woman" Ian accused.
"Yes" Diane affirmed to Ian's surprise, she felt her pride being trapped on knowing that she has not bargained for any of this.
"Yes Ian, I have become power greedy, do you know why?" She asked not expecting a reply.
"Because I have been power striped twice, I have watched what belongs to me to go others two time" she screamed.
"Do not raise your voice at me" he ordered.
"Or else?" She screamed.
"Or else what?" She asked with a lower but firm tone.
"Does it hurt to see yourself lose?" She asked.
"Luke did not win either so it cannot be considered a lost" Ian deadpanned.
"Tomorrow, you will walk up to the Alpha of the Nightingale pack, Ares, and give to him as much reasons as it takes, why you cannot marry him" he ordered.
"And if I don't? What will you do? Rain fire on your allies?" She asked a smile on mockery on her face.
"You do as I say and your door can stay open" Ian retorted.
"A bargain"
"I do not wish for freedom in your house when I can gain freedom from your world" she said in a griefed tone.
"I thought to deal with this nicely, how naive" he said and her expression changed.
"Perhaps a threat? Come to think of it" he said drawing closer to her as he fondles her golden locs with his finger. As much as she hated it, the feeling was divine.
"I have not seen Yvette around" he whispered into her ears and her expression turned horror filled.
"Don't do anything to her" she said.
"Then you do just as I say" he ordered as he turned to leave
"If anything happens to her I won't spare you" she screamed behind him.
"You are in no condition to even spare yourself" he countered before shutting her door in her face.
The next day came slowly for Diane as she stayed wide awake through the night thinking about Yvette.
She got out of the bed and went to the bathroom to bath before going to meet Ares as Ian had instructed.
She had felt no emotion for Ares but he was a good option for her, she racked her head as the water from the tap trickled down her body. When she was done she dressed herself up in a teal blue gown then she applied little make up before setting out to look for Ares.
She was combing through the garden when she caught a glimpse of a handsome man.
"Alpha Ares" she accorded due respect.
Ares turned round in delightful shock and surprise.
"Do you live in the villa?" He asked her.
