Raez Clan.
Her head throbbed with a migraine as her eyes fluttered open, she looked around the bright room a little oblivious of everything that had happened the previous night after she had passed out, she felt to weak to rise up from the bed so she just stayed there helplessly, she could feel the coldness of her body against the warmth of the room. She reached out to touch her head.
The scent of a person filled her nostrils.
"Who is there?" She asked and Yvette walked up to her.
"You are awake" she said gladly.
Diane had noticed how red Yve's eyes were but she could not attribute it to anything so she did not bother asking.
"Yes, help me up" she told Yvette who did so.
"You are boiling" Yvette said to her concern imprinted on her face.
Diane did not hear what she said, more like she wasn't listening, her thoughts were clouded by something else. She didn't know if it was a dream but she had seen the person she dreaded most when her eyes weakly fluttered open earlier but she had been to weak to say a thing she quickly fell back to sleep.
"Did the Alpha come to my room?" She asked Yvette who paused for a second before answering her.
"No" she replied as he had instructed her to do so.
"Right?" She asked still unsure.
"It must have been a dream" she said subconsciously.
"What must?" Yvette asked.
"Nothing" she replied.
"Did anything happen last night?" She asked thinking about Luke.
"Like?" Yvette answered and she dropped her hopes.
"Don't worry" she said.
"I will go and prepare your bath after reporting to the Alpha that you are awake"
"Don't" she said suddenly.
"Don't do any, don't tend to me, don't let the Alpha be aware of my consciousness" she said.
"If I don't tend to you who will? I tended to you through out the night while you laid unconscious and nothing happened to you so why do you despise being tended to do much?" Yvette asked boldly.
"I struggled for your life throughout the night"
"I wasn't aware of that"
"After you passed out the Alpha made an order, he said that you shouldn't be carried into the villa unless you could walk in with your own legs" Yvette said.
"Who brought me in then?" She asked surprised at what Yvette said.
Yvette explained the ordeal of the previous night to Diane.
"..and then Beta Logan brought you in" she concluded.
'Cold as ever' she thought.
"I am loyal to you, a real queen is not determined by the number of maid she has in her service, you have to be strong enough if you are going to claim what is yours" Yvette blurted out.
"Strong of you to assume that of me, a queen can only be attributed to kingdom, I am a slave in the Alpha's villa" she replied.
"No you are not"
"I presume you have seen it then" she said with a little smirk.
"Your mark?" Yvette asked and Diane nodded.
"I see you have, since when?" she asked.
"The first time you passed out three months ago"
"Why do you presume it is the mark? For all we know it could be a mating mark between me and a wolf" she said.
"It is too faint and I have seen it erase itself before more people could notice, a chime of silver and it was gone, no one else noticed it" Yvette said.
"You had caused the windows and glasses to shatter in the Alpha's room and he had to stay away for three months to get them fixed" she continued leaving Diane confused.
"What?" She asked.
"So you have been left unaware, forgive me then, in time you will find out" Yvette replied.
"I have known about your existence far before then" she said.
Diane had confusion widely expressed on her face.
"How?" She asked.
"It's simple, you are a descendant of the Raez clan" Yvette deadpanned and Diane chuckled out despite her migraine.
"Me? A descendant of this cursed pack?" She asked.
"And let me guess you are a Raez" she joked.
"Yes"
"I am Yvette Raez, Mrs Raez relative" she said with all seriousness.
"As much as I hate to break it to you, I am from the Red Moon pack infact I am the former Beta daughter and I am I love with someone else, I have no interest in your pack and I am definitely not one of your descendants, I know that all the true Luna's from the past were from that clan, I was elated about staying with Mrs Raez, but I am a pure exception to the rules, I am not of this pack neither am I from your bloodline, maybe that's why I was not born in a time of war, it's understandable if you do not wish to give me your loyalty anymore" she blurted out.
"You were not born in the time of war, but your birth will cause wars, wars you will help your pack to win, it's in the prophecies and my loyalty rest with you, it is better to fight with someone by your side than it is to fight on your own" she said.
Diane knew deep down that she was right, she needed someone.
"Very well, but do bear it in your mind that I do not concur with whatever you said"
'Aunt Susan really kept the truth away from her' Yvette thought to herself.
"You cannot run away from telling the Alpha that you are now conscious" Yvette said.
"It will even be worse if he finds out by himself" she said and Diane knew she was right.
"After the bath you may tell him, but from here on you will see the length to which a queen can be disgraced" Diane replied, thinking about Ian's orders to her.
Yvette prepared Diane's bath and helped her into the tub, helped her washed then dressed her up properly.
"I'll let him know now" Yvette said but before she could leave the room Ian showed up.
