Save her
Ian grunted from the excruciating pain.
"The towels and hot water is here" he heard the maids downstairs, he could hear the sound of towel being dipped in water as Yvette made quick movement to wake her up.
"She's not waking up" Yvette's empty voice resonated in Ian's head.
"Why is she not waking up?" Yvette teary voice asked.
"Get more towels and a fresh bowl of water" Yvette desperate voice beaconed for help and everyone who was staring before made effort to help
Ian pondered on what to do, he could hear the whispers of some jealous maids.
"Just who does she thinks she is?" A voice he couldn't trace asked.
"At least the Alpha has put her in her place today, I hope she dies" the second replied.
"Even if she survives, she won't be able to survive from us" the first said again.
"She carries herself like royalty, well I guess royalty is in the rain" the second replied and they both laughed.
He felt angry listening to their words and felt the need to punish them but could not trace their voices since he never looked at the female's faces in the villa.
"It's raining again" a broken voice drew his attention back to Diane.
"It just drizzle Yve" a voice tried to convince Yvette but then the lightning struck heavily followed by a thunder clap and then even a heavier rainfall.
Yvette placed her body over Diane's body but that did not stop the rain from hitting Diane's unconscious body.
"Please wake up" she cried.
Leah watched the scene alongside Alia helplessly, they both walked towards her using their body as an umbrella for her, but once their body was soaked enough the rain had it way with Diane.
"Poor child" Leah said.
"I haven't been here for up to ten minutes yet I am feeling so giddy, what more of her who has been here for up to three hours" Alia said.
"She is going to die at this rate" Yvette heard a voice say.
"No!" She said im an attempt to pick her up.
"What are you doing?" Leah asked in a loud voice.
"She'll die if I don't do something" Yve replied simply.
"Stop it" Leah ordered.
"And wait for what? She to magically wake up or for the moon goddess to drop down and help us? Look up, there is no moon in the sky, if we don't help, she will die, move" she replied.
"This is going against the Alpha's order, we won't let you risk your life over a rude person we don't know" Alia blocked her path.
"Move Alia please" she pleaded but Alia stayed stagnant.
"No, how do you even intend to take her out, you do not have the strength" Alia replied.
"I'll dragged her out of the rain" Yvette replied.
"And get yourself killed, I cannot allow you to waste your life like this, think about your family" Leah begged.
"My family has many children" Yvette replied.
"It is the reason they sent me here in the first place, all my life I have been told that my existence is meaningless, a meaningless death wouldn't matter, but Miss Lee once told me that she is the only child her mother gave birth to" Yvette continued.
"How can I be heartless enough to watch her die knowing that fact?" She asked.
"You will only end up getting the both of you killed"
"If the Alpha wished her dead he wouldn't stress himself to be under the rain" She replied.
"I will not allow you this stupidity Yvette" she replied.
Ian was listening to the argument downstairs, he could notice the rain become even heavier, and the pain he felt from his self induced wound become more excruciating.
His clothes from his stomach area was already drenched and the wound seemed not to be healing, he was feeling cold but weak.
He felt the urge to go down and bring her in himself but he could feel his ego rise, he felt sad watching her drenched to death. His wolf was right, he was weak, he had always been.
So weak that he felt his alter ego being wounded by Luke, so weak that he hit her, it seemed to him that even the maid who was willing to defile his order was stronger than him.
He grunted as he moved towards his phone.
He dialed Logan's number who answered after five missed calls.
"You know it's an early raining morning and some people sleep by this time right?" Logan replied immediately he picked up the call.
"Get here" Ian shaky voice said, Logan could notice the difference in Ian's voice.
"Are you alright?" He asked concerned.
"Just come Logan" he replied.
"In the heaviness of this rain? No" he replied.
"Please" Ian begged for the first time giving Logan a rethink on his decision.
"I'll give you anything you want" he said in a shaky tone before cutting the call.
"Even if you don't just hearing you beg is enough" he said to no one as he got out of his bed, he hastily got dressed arriving at the villa in five minutes.
As he walked in he noticed the commotion going on and walked towards the direction it was coming from, when he got there he saw Diane unconscious on the floor.
The maids who were arguing stopped and the one with the red eyes looked up to him like she had seen a messiah.
He could not help admitting to her beauty in a drenched state, he was drawn back to reality when she went on her knees and grabbed his feet lowered her head to his feet.
"Please save her" she cried helplessly.
"What happened here?" He asked.
"The Alpha brought her out Three hours ago, under the heavy rain and had her on her knees till she passed out from the cold and when he went back in an hour ago he ordered that if she was to enter then she should on her own feet" Yvette hastily explained.
"Please save her" she begged.
'That bastard, his ego wouldn't allow them bring her in and that's why he called me here, but what was his reason for punishing her so greatly under this ice cold rain?' He wondered to himself.
"Please save her, the Alpha cannot kill you" Yvette thoughtlessly begged.
Logan looked at her with pity, it seemed as if she had been crying for a very long time.
"Please" she begged.
"She'll die from the cold" she begged.
Logan touched Diane's ice cold hand to check for a pulse, it was faint but it was there.
He felt scared by how faint her pulse was and how cold her body was, she truly was going to die if no move was made, he jerked her body up and went into the villa.
Once Ian heard Logan coming in he hastily changed his clothes from the bloody wet ones to another set of dry clothes leaving his bloody wound undressed, he feigned that he was alright, ignoring the pain he went out of his room.
He stopped Logan who was carrying Diane and had Yvette strolling behind him, their wet bodies soaking the villa.
He could feel his stomach hurt even more as the blood left them, he knew he had to hasten up with whatever he wanted to do.
He casted his cold glance at Diane's almost white body before turning to Logan.
"Is she dead?" He asked.
'An act really Ian?' He mindlinked to Ian who ignored.
"No" he replied.
"You seem unaware of my orders, she can only be brought back in if she is dead otherwise she can only come back in by herself" he said.
'Well she is very close to death Ian, why the fuck would you do this?' He mindlinked to Ian who felt fear sip in his mind.
"Suffer me to take her back then?" Logan asked and Yvette who had been listening went forward and fell on her face in front of the Alpha.
"Please forgive her" she begged in tears.
'So this is the wolf who was willing to go against me, she's petite but loyal' he said to himself.
"Please save her Alpha" she begged once again as she closed her eyes, she knew this could be her end but regardless it was worth trying.
'Quite brave, but it doesn't matter, even if you don't do this Ian wouldn't let his mate die' Logan thoughtlessly mindlinked to her, she was stunned but did not make any show of it while Logan realized lately what he had said in his mindlink.
"Please" she begged for the last time.
Ian made a gesture to Logan to take her in and he continued in his movement, as he walked past Ian he noticed the dripping red on the lower abdominal part of his clothes but he did not stop going.
'How are you hurt?' He asked through a mindlink.
'Doesn't matter, call her a doctor' he replied.
'Wow if you cared so much for her why did attempt her murder, why didn't you save her?' He asked but Ian did not reply.
"Get up and go tend to her" he ordered Yvette and she complied running to fast past him to notice that he was injured.
As they left Ian returned to his room, he could feel his breath become slow, he looked at his blood soaked clothes before passing out.
