Alex Luther
Ian sat frozen staring at the warm body lying lifelessly on his bed, this was the second time they were here in less than a week.
She was growing on his, and he hated to admit it.
"If you wake up now, i might end it all" he whispered, the door creaked open with Yvette hovering on it but Ian was yet to take notice of it, he was occupied, she was enough to occupy him.
"I wish..to" her breath stopped as Ian's cold eyes hit her.
"Tell me, what is she like?" Ian asked in a cool voice, just like the calm before the storm, his expression non changing, he emitted grace, he commanded respect and he drew fear.
"I cannot say, some days she smiles like her world is going to be okay, and other days she is numb, not saying a word and on the rare occasion she's crying, praying for a cup that might never pass over her" Ian followed the trail of Yvette teary eyes to Diane's body.
"What are you here for?" He asked.
"She needs a change of cloth" she replied, "it's night, she needs it for a comfortable sleep" she added.
"Then change it" he deadpanned.
Yvette was dumbstruck, how was she to tell the Alpha that she needed him to excuse if she was to do that.
"Can you lift her on your own?" Ian asked staring at the little woman whose eyes were fixed on the ground.
Yvette could finally see where he was headed, she had struggled to cloth Diane and wouldn't had been able to do it without him the first time.
"I have the attendants outside the door" she said, maybe it was in her hallucination but it felt like his eyes had darkened at her words.
"Female attendants" she added for the sake of her head.
Ian did not press further, instead he excused himself from the room, he could not deny the fact that his cheek had almost turned red at the thought of clothing her a night ago.
He noticed her, it was so evident it had become hard for him to deny it.

The tales were not true.
Of course it wasn't.
Anything that had passed through time had the highest probability of being altered.
Mariam took in the child that had crawled out of her sister's body like a monster, the baby was crying drenched in it's mother's blood.
"Throw that monster away Mariam" a cold voice said, turning to the source of the voice it was her sister's husband.
"Forget about that, bring it to me to strangle to death" he walked towards the child forcing Mariam to stumble backwards.
"No" Mariam coerced, "I won't let you do that" she added.
"That monster killed its mother, my love, what kind of monster crawls out of a dead body?"
"She is not a monster, Damini loves her, Damini named her, look at her for once and see if you can still call her a monster"
"If you won't let me kill it then.." He took a final look at the cooing child.
"Then that monsters is yours to keep" he turned away and from that day she never saw him again.
Defitri grew up Isolated and hated due to the circumstance of her birth, the only person close to her was her aunt who had taken up the position of her mother but deep down her aunt might had hated her, she would hate herself too if she was in the position of her aunt, coming into this world by taking away her sister, abandoned by her father forcing Mariam to take her in and she was rejected by her mate because she took Defitri in, Defitri had a lot of things to be sorry for, and if truly Mariam hated her she did her best not to show it.
On the day if Defitri's coming of age she had snuck out for the popular mating gathering, it had been a long time since one was held due to the long war that had just subsided, the gathering would not had been held if most of the members of the Evergreen pack had not lost their lives in the war, it was important for the wolves who had just come of age to meet their mate and bear children who would slowly cover up for the missing numbers.
The mating gathering was the most beautiful event Defitri had ever been to, with wolves dressed on the classiest of fashion, she had put on a scarf to cover her face and wore the only good cloth she was allowed to have a free length blue gown with a flowery embroidery on it.
Watching the wolves out there mingle she felt the loneliness she thought she had become accustomed to, watching them find the ones they were fated to left her wishing, she hated being on the wishing end even though that was all she was allowed to do, tears rolled down her cheek as she slowly backed away from the scenes, she had never felt wronged in the past instead she felt like she had wronged the world with her birth, but watching everyone live the life she can't she felt wronged, she had not chosen the occurrence of her birth, she had not even chosen to be birthed so why, why was it all happening to her, why?
Her growing sob was drawing attention to her but she was clueless about it, she was about to run away from the event that had left her craving the regular life, wanting more than she could ever be allowed to have and so she left bumping into someone on her way out, she fell to the floor on the impact.
"Shouldn't you be careful when you walk?" He asked pulling off her scarf after crouching down to her.
'My God it's the Alpha Alex Luther' one of the loud murmurs caught her attention.
"I'm so sorry" she cued
