The rings
Diane had become even more determined than ever.
It seemed like a talk with the only wise person she knew was what she needed to get back to her senses.
She had decided that she would not greedily chase after a man she had long let go of, she would not limit herself to the thoughts of leaving the villa only, instead she would play the sacrificial role and gain her stand in the Evergreen pack. She would have to get the said acknowledgement and stop the war that should have been avoided right from time.
Ian watched Diane spacing out for a while, regaining his composture in the process.
"Who did you go to see?" He asked and she turned to face him.
"Is it important? I believe all that matters is that you want me and I have returned to you on my own free will like a conquered servant" she belittled herself only that this time, she was not conquered but she had set out to be the conqueror.
"That does not provide me the answers I wish for" Ian deadpanned.
"Who did you go to see?" He asked.
"Judging from the fact that you have a beautiful fiancee, I believe the person I choose to see has nothing to do with you" she replied fearlessly.
Of course it has something to do with him, he was her husband after all.
"I won't ask again" he crashed his teeth letting out a low growl.
"Luke" she replied simply yet spitefully, Ian was about to lose it when he grabbed her and as if he had disappeared they arrived at the villa where he just left her to find her way to her rooms.
Diane was surprised by his reaction but she had no plans of pondering on it, instead she had to think.
Ian returned to his chambers sure of one thing, the fact that she was lying.
If truly she had met Luke he would never had let go of her regardless of the instant war it would cause, moreover he had carried her on their journey back but he was yet to sense another man cologne on her except his and lastly he had not felt any stroking sensation that could indicate her going to meet Luke.
But then who did she risk it all just so she could meet?
He pondered but stopped himself.
"Have bars put on everything window in the villa" he ordered once he left his room.
"And ensure the doors of the lady's room is locked, clear out her room and bring the important things to my room, I want anything that could serve as a means of communication removed" he ordered and his words were put to immediate effect.
*
The door of Diane's room was suddenly flung open and a number of guard wolves entered.
"What are you doing here?" She asked but they did not answer her, instead they made efforts to move out the tables as well as ruggedly go through her closet, ensuring that the only thing there was clothes, they were almost done searching the room when one eyes fell on Diane's Journal.
"Lay a finger on that book and I will take your hands" Diane threatened but the guard was relentless, he kept pushing forward.
Diane had felt her body move on impulse towards the book as she grabbed it swiftly.
"I dare you to come closer" she said.
The guards had felt a bit confused as some of them were the same ones who had accompanied the Alpha to the boundary line of the pack and they were well aware of the Alpha's threat if they laid a finger on her so they decided to leave with all they were told to take, as they left Diane could hear the clanking of the locks, her heart sank as she let out a strangled breath, taking slow breaths to calm herself from thinking about the locked door, she could feel herself hyper ventilating when suddenly flashes of memories came to her, she was remembering her childhood behind locked door and something else, her head began to hurt as her mind went back to three months ago when she had been locked up in Ian's room, she could see the pieces of her missing memories come back together and just like a replay of event wherein she could see in third person, the memories of how she has overpowered the Alpha came to her.
The true strength of the Luna's mark.
She was still very confused by the memories she had seen more so she was traumatized but she had managed to take her mind off the locked doors.
She returned to the bed trying to place her memories of together, her mark began to chime, for the first time she was conscious enough to notice it.
She looked through the reflective window glass at the point wherein the moon was in her clear view, she watched her blue eyes color lighten up to the color of the moon, a sight Ethereal, she stumbled backwards until her body hit something softer than wall.

Logan stared at Lilian as she picked engagement rings, the excitement on her face as she dragged him to the ring store was something he wished he could see on Ian's face but he knew that the heavens would have a war before such a thing would happen.
"Are you really this happy to enshackle yourself with the bonds of marriage?" Logan asked his sister.
"What makes you feel that this is enshackling?" She asked instead of replying.
"The excitement on your face when clearly he does not reciprocate your feelings, is it truly worth it?" He asked.
"At least he did not reject me brother, I stand a chance" she smiled, right now she did not look like the relentless gamma of the feared pack, instead she was a blind woman in love, who was so blind she had refused to notice the way the man she loved looking at another woman.
"How are you so in love with him?" Logan asked but she smiled.
"Do you really want to hear reasons why I love him?" She asked and Logan shrugged, truthfully he didn't.
"Ian is a broken soul who has only ever lost, he is not going to love you too, instead your relationship will be like that of his parents" Logan whispered into his sisters ears.
"Then let me bear his child" she said.
"He bears no wish to have one" Logan said and she shrugged.
"I'll be content just being his wife and the Luna of this pack" she said.
"This one" she said pointing at a ring.
"And please Logan stop trying to talk me out of it and pretend to be happy for me, I am finally getting all I wanted and I not?" She asked.
"I am happy for you" he said and she smiled.
They picked up the rings.
